Perfect place for historic Poitiers
Reviewed By christinedS6046ILGreat city centre hotel. Perfect place for one night stopover en route south. Booked for secure parking as had bikes on bike rack, but good breakfast and quiet garden. Location excellent for exploring historic Poitiers on foot. Service excellent especially from receptionist Justine who couldn’t do enough for us.

Reviewed By ThatAdamChapStayed here for two nights and the staff were superb. Reception were lovely - really helpful, and the staff in the restaurant in the evenings and in the breakfast room in the mornings were excellent. The staff really made this place - very very good.

Reviewed By Brian SMy wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, left the car in the hotels secure car park and explored the city on foot, the centre being pedestrianised. We were really pleased with the hotel. Friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English, very clean and large room with a good shower in the bathroom. Plenty restaurants nearby, across the road is Taco & co who do love tasty carry outs or eat ins, their chicken is finger lickin good ! 5 minutes walk takes you to Mekong Pacific, an authentic Chinese restaurant ran by Mr Duc, a very nice man. We will stay here again next time we visit Poitiers

Great value for little money
Reviewed By bas127We stayed in this hotel as a stopover to Bordeaux. Of was a good size room for your persons with good beds. Breakfast was ok and the staff was friendly.... the only thing we missed was an english tv channel:)

Old but many positives!
Reviewed By KendeMalamuIt’s not a recent hotel but compared to the more modern BW we stayed at the previous night it has 5 very positive points in its favour: 1) there is not a sliding door between bedroom and toilet but two real doors! (There is a hallway between bedroom and hotel corridor). 2) there is an electric shutter which makes for very dark room! We faced a courtyard which was quiet 3) the city car park next door (not hotel car park) fits cars over 2m and is very cheap 4) the owner (who manages the breakfast) is super friendly 5) the O Bistro restaurant right opposite is fantastic for dinner I would recommend this hotel but don’t have high expectations on decor or modernity. The King Size bad is a plus in France!!

Reviewed By mbell651178A nice, simple hotel. Well located in terms of the station though not the prettiest part of town. Breakfast was a little disappointing. For 9 euros per person I was expecting a bit more variety. I would be nice if the hotel had more parking facilities.

Reviewed By simonmark1Pleasant enough if you are on a budget which is just what the Eastern European Truck drivers are on, rooms are basic but functional with a smell of stale cigarettes, hotel is mainly unmanned so the smokers think it’s ok to sail through 40 in their rooms resulting in the whole hotel stinking of nicotine, management must charge these fools who not only stain the rooms but put other guests at a fire risk I will not be returning, lastly the gentleman on reception was more than welcoming and spoke at least 4 languages, respect!!

A hotel near the railway station
Reviewed By libius2018Good location near Poitiers railway station in walking distance from the town center. The quiet room with good AC. Wi Fi was OK. The hotel has all basic facilities. A good choice for 1-2 nights. I did not the breakfast. The railway station has direct connection with Paris airport by TGV but take into account that SNCF has frequent delays and cancellations

A nightmare--if I could have slept
Reviewed By retourouvreHotel Central is a comfortable, attractive, stylish hotel, and very well located. It's unfortunate that its staff is so seldom available at the reception desk, supposedly to be summoned by a bell--though not between 12:00 and 2:00 (14:00), when they shut down completely and do not answer the bell, and if you telephone them, inform you that you may not leave your luggage with them for the duration, either. Not on Sundays, when they actually remove even the bell, until late in the afternoon, when they appear to register new guests. And I would not wish on anyone the misfortune of being their "guest" when a large group checks in that spends the ENTIRE NIGHT running up and down the corridor, slamming and banging on doors, shouting, singing at the top of their lungs, climbing out through windows into a small courtyard so that they are also doing all the above--minus the doors--right outside your window. Because the hotel staff will do nothing at all about these hooligans, even when they set off the fire alarm for the entire hotel at 4:00 A.M. They will finally offer to move YOU in the middle of the night, but otherwise it's just your misfortune to be at the mercy of this ludicrous situation, and the hotel really does not care. Consider yourself warned.
