Staff was very friendly, check in and out was very easy, but hotel is outdated. Pool is average. However, the air conditioner was filled with mold, and my family woke up congested and sneezing the next morning. Having everyone get sick wasn’t worth the stay.

Lovely B&B; comfy beds!

Claudia was so welcoming! The inn is a beautiful old mansion, with large rooms, comfy beds, and a great outdoor area. The rooms block out noise, so we couldn’t hear any of our neighbors. Very quiet! We were so glad we stayed here and absolutely would again.

Clean and quiet and conveniently located

Reviewed By Larry L

I’d stay here again. The hotel was exceptionally clean and neat, well maintained and well furnished. It is convenient to US Route 1, and I-85 and I-95 are nearby. We were here to visit Civil War sites; several are within short driving distance. The hotel also appears to be popular with business travelers. Our room was comfortable; we did not spend much time in it except for sleeping. It was very quiet and spotless. The bathroom was well equipped. The free breakfast was adequate. This location is not the garden spot of Virginia (my apologies to anyone living in the neighborhood); most nearby properties are the types of businesses that you would expect to line US 1. I was told, as we departed, that I would not earn IHG One Rewards points because I had made the reservation through Expedia rather than IHG.

One night stay

We stayed here for a night on our way to SC. It’s dirty and the room has a weird odor. There is hair on the floor behind the bathroom door, the carpets and chairs are worn and old. Skip it and stay somewhere else-even if it’s just for a night. I’m wishing I would have read more reviews and spent a little more money.

Hotel staff are terrible

Reviewed By 539xela62

The hotel is dirty, the staff are not very attentive. I checked in and went straight to my room my sink was dirty, it’s ok. At around 5 tried to take my shower jump in and find out the soap and shampoo containers are empty. Luckily I always bring one or two shampoo bottles and vat of soap. I came downstairs to ask for towel and tell the night manager, do think she care? NO, when I tell her she said ‘Ok’, I said ok can I get a shampoo and soap please! Not a care on her bones, she did not even asked my room number and she said sorry without a care. In the morning I went to breakfast mo fork and napkin. In the afternoon when I came back my room was hot since last night it’s at 72, so I called the front desk she said I will send the maintenance. 3 hours later none. I am glad I am staying in here for two nights, this hotel is the worst hotel in service and staff. Thanks for being a spire on holiday inn.

Deplorable

Reviewed By J1923YEnicoleb

My family just needed a place to rest our heads for a few short hours after a long day of traveling. We regretfully settled on this hotel. When I say the room we stayed in was the most disgusting filthy smelly hotel room I have ever seen it is no exaggeration. I work in the hotel industry so I am well aware of how things are supposed to be done. I strongly advise that your housekeepers get a retrain on how to clean. The room smelled like an ashtray. There was no way the furniture had been wiped down in quite sometime. The microwave had crusted food all over the inside. The ice bucket tray had dust and what looked to be pubic hairs on it. And omg the bathtub had so much soap scum on it. It was in desperate need of bleach. Isn’t there anyone who inspects the rooms?! I just don’t even understand how this happens. Everyone that works there should be ashamed of themselves

Cleanest Motel 6 Ever

When I travel with my dog I stay at Motel 6 because of no pet fee. This by far is the cleanest Motel 6 I've ever stayed in. I've stayed in many. This place was clean, my room smelled lovely. Shout out to Ashley for making me and my dog feel so welcome. I hate those top bed spreads, and my room didn't t even have them at all. Just very clean sheets and blankets.I was very surprised. I felt very cozy. I stayed in room 124. Heads up...Hot water and cold water is reversed in shower.

Beware - awful rip-off half way home hotel for homeless

Reviewed By whitechai

Awful - dumpy dirty room with paint chipping off walls, off ceilings and off bathroom fixture…..unsafe - unhealthy. Noisy renters in the rooms next door, apparently permanent staying homeless, sat on sidewalk curbs outside our door smoking and screaming at their kids playing in drive-way, and who seemed to dislike tourist residents as they started throwing cigarette lighters etc….at our hotel door apparently to annoy or scare us. We decided to leave immediately as we judged it was all going to just be worse and more stressful as the night wore on. Spoke to front desk manager before I left, it is clear he is just concerned about making a profit and not providing a safe and clean experience. Highly advise everyone to avoid this dump.
