Delightful Beach Getaway
Reviewed By expatmom2015Stayed for a beach getaway and was wowed by this clean & well kept property. The room was thoughtfully designed with loads of shelving for all of the things we had pulled out of our luggage, as well as snacks and drinks - really helped keep the room feeling tidy. The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions and requests. The light and warmth of hospitality glows strongly here! The hotel even has a stash of beach supplies you can borrow (beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc) which was great for us as we had flown to Florida so naturally didn’t have that kind of stuff with us - this both saved us from having to buy beach chairs and saved the environment from what would have been wasteful purchases left behind. The beach is walkable - but it’s about a 20 minute walk, so with the heat we made the 3 minute drive instead. Casey Key beach is lovely and quiet. The bbq area at the pool is a great option as most of the local restaurants serve very similar stuff. Recommend hitting restaurants early if dining out, we went around 7/8pm most nights and a couple of times felt very unwelcome despite closing times posted as 10pm.

I came here when I owned a condo at the marina on Casey Key right up the road. ?Why? You say. I pay....this place brings out my happy thoughts and one can feel very close to God at sunset at his pool. Update: 6mos later .....better than ever! Already reserved for September!!!

Reviewed By 91charlenegMy Family has visited Casey Key for many years. We recently started booking with Suntan Terrace. Never a regret, the rooms are big, up to date. Staff is great, always willing to help. Pool for the kids is always a plus. Salt water and the eyes don’t seem to mix well with them. We will continue to visit for many years to come. We’re Thankful for the great owner and his amazing staff.

Casey Key Resorts - Beachfront is an extension of Casey Key Resorts, located in Osprey, Fl. 11 Cape Cod style beachfront rooms over looking the beautiful blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
There during time of renovation, still a wonderful stay. Audrey was the best!
Reviewed By kim mHad to check in at the main location, but the place was just what I wanted, walk out and on to the beach. Was able to use the wifi with no issue and enjoyed the quiet. Nice place to just relax. Easy to get around town and walk to establishments. Only trick was watching out for the vehicles that were sight seeing and not watching the road.

Casey Key Resort, Gulf Shores is a beachfront property on Casey Key. On one side of the property is private beach front on the Gulf of Mexico. Every room is no more than 200 feet from the Beach. Enjoy beach views in some of our bungalows, our new Pavilion overlooking the Gulf and beach loungers. On the other side is 150 feet of Venice Inlet waterfront -- Part of the Sarasota Intracoastal Waterway. Kayak or paddleboard along this calm canal and enjoy the sea life. We specialize in Beach Front Weddings and an Athletic Team Practicing Center.
Even if you don’t know, it you should avoid it.
Reviewed By Compass10649085422We made a reservation with this place after reviewing presentation by Trip advisor and other agencies in addition to the site of this so called resort. As a matter of fact more than a reservation was a prepaid staying : 585 $ for 2 nights. When we arrived in the early afternoon of week day, as anticipated by mail, nobody was there: all instructions were left on paper in the room. Needles to say nothing was as on pictures: just an old, narrow and decaying hut not even very clean. ( Not a surprise since they do not service the rooms because of COVID: all the blame on it). Not a private beach: may be a public beach somewhere but we did’t dare look for it. A wardrobe cluttered with air conditioning equipments. No possibility to comunicate except by texting. In the end we didn’t have any other choice but to leave. Later we complained, strictly by mail, asking for a refund: all we could obtain was a voucher for a new stay: can you imagine? Last pearl: there are in the very same area two places with the very same name the only difference being the one is “Resorts” and our is just “Resort”.

Reviewed By Odyssey10912I arrived at the motel room on Feb 17. It smelled thickly of cigarette smoke though it was allegedly a non smoking room. The blinds on the window were broken and a dirty torn sheet was thrown over a rod above the window. The toilet smelled of urine, the bed covers and I;;ow cases were stained, and there was dirt that looked like dried putty on the side table and on the floor along the edge of the baseboard, and tiles. The bathroom sink became quickly clogged and wouldn’t drain. I tried to get hold of the manager after arriving at the room and seeing the state but was told that she was away overnight and a neighbor to the property was helping out. I tracked this woman helper down, she offered me some “clean” sheets which turned out to be covered in brown stains and were even more disgusting and not usable. She then came to the room with bleach and gloves and attempted unsuccessfully to get rid of the urine smell. She also tried to fix the broken blinds eventually giving up when the rod fell off the wall.. Two doors down the man in that room had passed out on his bed at dusk, the TV blaring, his bedroom door wide open, and a chainsaw and long knife on the table outside his room. Needless to say I barely slept that night. I felt both unsafe and unclean in the room. In the morning I packed my car to leave, after trying to hunt down the manager who still had not returned. I ran in to a couple 3 doors down who said they were also disgusted by their room, which had a blocked toilet and other problems and they felt it overpriced for the condition. They were told when they complained to Ann they would get a refund. I told the neighbor helper I was leaving and why and she said she would pass that on to the manager. The next day I got hold of Ann, who does the bookings on the phone, explained the situation, asked for a refund, she dismissed my request, and hung the phone up on me.

Relaxing vacation
Reviewed By janecorbinAlthough we were staying in on of the older rooms yet to be renovated we still enjoyed ourselves very much. The apartment had everything we needed. The property has been nicely updated. It's quite lovely and lush. The pool area is very nice as are all of the common areas. Although we only used it once, having an outdoor grill to use was an nice amenity. The beautiful beach is just a short walk across the street and we were given nice beach chairs and an umbrella to use. Casey Key itself is a quiet place to be but close to everything you need. The staff were all pleasant and eager to help us in any way. If you check Escape to Casey Key (soon to be the new name) you can see photos of the newly renovated property and rooms. We would definitely recommend this motel!

Palm Garden Beach & Tennis Estate is located only about half a mile away from gorgeous Casey Key in Nokomis, between Venice and Sarasota, on Albee Road the Gateway to Casey Key. The 1 & 1/3 acre gated resort is conveniently located close to shops and restaurants. Only three Suites in two buildings share our estate surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The romantic Tudor-style Main House with the "Hibiscus-Suite", a 2-bedroom/1 bath apartment on the first floor and the "Gulf Breeze-Suite", a 2-bedroom/2 bath apartment, on the second floor or you can rent the whole house as one unit. The former guest house is now the "Tree House", a 1-bedroom/1 bath house.
It's ok if you are low on money
Reviewed By Jonna SWe stayed in the one bedroom treehouse over the garage May 18th through the 25th 2018. The Treehouse is old and in need of some serious TLC. The garage was filled with items and not useable. Extremely dirty as well. The inside of the treehouse was clean but very out dated. The windows are grossly in need of cleaning. The steps up to the Treehouse need repaired. The top step is breaking away. The land is extremely gorgeous but run down and in serious need of cleaning, trimming and painting. The pool area was filthy. Light green algae growing, debris and dirt at the bottom. We attempted to clean it but in the long run, it was in need of chemicals and scrubbing. The screened in pool was over grown with trees and debris all over the screen roof. Piles of it so it was not from a week of bad weather. We complained about the pool and was told it was cleaned and fine. We were also told it would be cleaned again, however it was not. We did not use the pool. The hot tub jets do not work and it was cold water and filthy. We did not use the hot tub. The parking for the treehouse is small and hard to turn around. There were quite a few snakes as well. The main house looks nothing like the photos. All in all, it's a true discredit to let this outstanding piece of land and housing get so run down. It could be an amazing, well hidden, secret vacation home to all those that stay there. With all of this said, it's a fantastic location. Close to everything. North Jetty beach is amazing. The price to stay here suits the environment but could be so much more. I would reccomend this place if you are not expecting a well maintained area. I would not stay there again but I would recommend it for a cheap vacation. Also, the locks on the doors are NOT safe. Anyone could break into the treehouse. Thank goodness it's so secluded and remote. We left many items behind to help the next visitors with some comfort. If only they would put a few thousand into this beautiful property...
