Lock was broken and the non smoking Room stunk heavily of cigarette smoke.
Reviewed By TravelingTFamilyDo not stay at this hotel! The lock on the hotel room was broken and staff disregarded my concern with this and would not get my family and I another room. The hotel room had also been heavily smoked in and I have a child and husband that are allergic to cigarette smoke. We did not get any sleep due to the awful conditions of the room and the lack of security with the door lock not working. The staff is not accustomed to providing hospitality and refused to provide us with other accommodations despite the unsafe condition of the room and our request for another room. I left the review on the holiday inn platform and recieved the following message from Holiday Inn, which says they only allow good reviews: "Your opinion is very important to us. We appreciate you taking the time to write a review for your stay at Holiday Inn Express Mesquite. Unfortunately your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site, as outlined below. The highlighted section(s): contains legally sensitive content Lock was broken and Room stunk of cigarette smoke."

Lots of children in the pool!
Reviewed By nwgirl20We had a love,y check in, very nice employees all over. Our room was ok , not up to LasVegas standards - no desk, ok bathroom, but clean. No refrigerator, which was too bad. Very thin walls. As for the pool, lots of noisy children all over , and very crowded. We waited until late afternoon to swim, as earlier there was no room to sit! The casino is across the parking lot, and the slots are really tight. The bar off of the sports book was very quiet and lovely; great service and good nachos. Don’t order white wine! All in all, seems like a nice place for Mesquite, but not up to standards anywhere else.

Comfy Clean and Quiet
Reviewed By cambrose7Great place to stay for rest. Very clean, very quiet and convenient for traveling. Weren’t there for casinos so can’t speak to that. Staff was excellent. We felt valued as guests. Grab and Go style breakfast was pretty good. Our room on the backside was so quiet. Will stay there again on our next trip down.

Worst hotel, DON’T STAY HERE
Reviewed By 762kaycWhen checking into Casablanca resort we told the front desk that we had a family member with a hurt leg and asked for a room with not a very far walk… they gave us one of the last rooms on the floor which was the farthest away room you could get. We then went to try out their Mother’s Day breakfast buffet, after paying for 14 people we sat down. After sitting down we had an employee try telling us we didn’t pay for all of our party and acted like we were lying and cheating the system. We showed him the receipt and there was no apology for his poor behavior. We continued to eat and when asking our server for a drink refill he told us we already had a drink and wouldn’t help us. Great service. We continued on to the day with swimming. We came back to our room around 5pm to find that no one had cleaned our room or gave us new bedding for our sons bed which he had peed the bed the night before. We called and asked if someone could clean our room and they told us they were short staffed and our room wouldn’t be cleaned, but instead they would bring up sheets we could put on our selves. They came up to our room and left sheets on the bed. As the night came to a end we tried turning on the two small lamps in our room for light, basically it felt like we were in candle light in our room it was so dark and poorly lit. Please take your money somewhere else, because this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at with the rudest people working here. Thanks for ruining our family trip Casablanca we will not return to your hotel again.

Poor hotel standards
Reviewed By W6820FGericcMy wife and I stayed there on 5/28/2022. The room given to us had a big window that was broken with about 2/3 of its glass missing (see the photo attached). When we complained next morning, the front desk lady didn't say any sorry, rather said that the previous guest didn't lock the window causing the window glass broken. It is clear that the hotel knowingly rented a room that was not meeting any hotel standards. On a side note, I booked the hotel for $123.75, but was asked for $146.25 in their "Pre-Arrival" email. Though this was corrected, it indicated at least some hotel operation issues if not dishonesty.

Reviewed By Alan FDecent basic hotel with no frills. Dated decor with no housekeeping or room service. Setup for extended stay or timeshare rental. Fairly quiet and convenient location. Rooms can use renovation with old paint, furniture and bed. Would not recommend for a romantic getaway.
