Great place to stay, reception was fantastic! We were upgraded without asking and a bottle of bubbly for us in our room on arrival. The hotel is directly across from the beach and the rooms and common areas all have a beachy feel. Staff excellent. We love this hotel!

Q Station Sydney Harbour National Park Hotel

Located on North Head at Manly, Q Station offers unparalleled sweeping views of Sydney Harbour from Manly back towards the City and South Head. With over 70 buildings spread across 33 hectares, bring your walking shoes with you. We offer a shuttle service on site as no private vehicles are given access - so leave your vehicle at our carpark, jump on board and relax. Whilst here we'd recommend that you visit our Luggage Store Visitor Centre Cafe & Museum, as well as the Boilerhouse Harbourside Restaurant & Bar - both areas are very popular here.

Nice but doesn’t tick all the boxes

Q Station is a lovely spot with lovely views. For us it didn’t quite hit the spot as a place to stay. The rooms are expensive but very basic. Not even a power point next to the bed. Not even any normal tea bags, just chamomile. The only place for a coffee is the $30 per head buffet which we don’t want or walk down 200 steps to cafe which would be fine if it wasn’t raining! Given the distances to anything, a coffee in the room would be a nice touch (even a plunger would do). Or let me get a coffee without paying for the buffet !

But over and above all that is the hosptiality of the staff. From the manager to the wonderful women at reception to the cleaners and room service team - everyone in this place was so helpful. The reception team were outstanding in their support and their friendly service. It really is a paradise in every way! Thank you all Monica

Hotel Steyne

Hotel Steyne has been a fixture of Manly since 1859. Our heritage of providing a great space to catch up with friends over a drink and a bite to eat remains strong. Now, in 2020, we’re proud to start the next chapter of Hotel Steyne’s story. Hotel Steyne has completely new 4-star accommodation, bright new dining areas and Manly’s best rooftop bar with views over iconic Manly Beach. What hasn’t changed is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere you’ve always loved. Wake up right opposite Manly Beach, go for a swim, then come back to Hotel Steyne for breakfast before exploring the best Manly has to offer. Take a look around the Quarantine Station, do the Spit to Manly Walk, or just spend the day people watching in cafes and browsing Manly’s shops. Freshen up in your room, or enjoy a coffee in the guest lounge, before sundowners at The Rooftop, then dinner at Beach Bar and Bistro. When it’s time for sleep, your room awaits, with everything you need to rest, rejuvenate, and do it all again the next day. Hotel Steyne is a hub for business or leisure, overlooking the breathtaking ocean and surrounded by ample shopping, boutiques and cafes. Manly Wharf, for ferries to and from Sydney central, is located nearby. All rooms feature a SMART TV, Espresso machine, in-room safe, phone charging docking station, mini bar fridge and wardrobe. Sundowners at The Rooftop bar, looking out over Manly Beach and The Corso. Fish and chips with the kids at Beach Bar and Bistro after a busy morning catching waves and making sandcastles. Watching the game with a beer and your mates in Magic’s Sports Bar. Sipping on a whiskey and solving the problems of the world in Blacket’s. Or giggling with your favourite ladies over high tea and a bottle of chilled rose at the Rooftop at The Steyne. Whatever you’re looking for, whoever you’re catching up with, Hotel Steyne is the Manly pub for all occasions.

Poor experience at Styene Manly Hotel

A family trip from Brisbane. Went to Manly for brunch. Rude service, zero customer service. Meals were cold. Order was a mess and apparently it was our fault. Drinks came 15mins after our meals. Very disappointing for such an iconic venue. Will choose elsewhere next time.

Horrible stay

Reviewed By 477keirar

COMPLETE FILTH extremely unimpressed by this disgusting smelly hostel. We had a private room located on the first floor the smell as soon as you passed reception was revolting, a mixture of dampness, weed!!! and staleness. There was absolutely NO previous warning about the “hostel cat” which just completely put me off as soon as I stepped in. You would also not be refunded if you had allergies which is an absolute disgrace ( written in the welcome agreement you have to sign) The receptionist was extremely unwelcoming and gave off the impression she had to interest to be there. The room alone was dated, paint peeling off the walls, plug sockets hanging off the walls and a fan hanging with inches of dust. I’m aware that hostels won’t be a fancy hotel but the level of filth and disgustingness in this is unacceptable stayed in many hostels and this is by far the very worst. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Deluxe room - what a joke - false advertising

Reviewed By Culture604526

We walked into our supposed deluxe room to find a stained and dirty bedspread, a tiny table shoved in the corner with 2 hard seats, a dirty, soiled lounge that looked like it was about 20 years old and obviously well worn. There is no way that this was a deluxe room. As I was unable to leave my room because of injury, I couldn't bear the thought of staying for 4 days in this dark, dank room which is overstated, overrated and overpriced. They need to get real and pick up their act and have some pride in their facilities. We left immediately and booked alternative accommodation.

Reception smells like old smoke, was dirty. Was told my room would not be ready for 2hrs when i showed up at 2.30pm Cleaner was fighting with reception staff over towels in rooms and had a half eaten cob of corn in his back pocket. Was told linen had not been delivered for 2 days. No parking at all on site and staff were not concerned about where i was to park, no street parking available at all. Felt extremely uncomfortable in the vicinity. Asked where the bed blanket was and was told i don't need a blanket as i have an air conditioner.

We organised a one night stay ... and stayed perhaps 5 minutes. We were told we were going to stay in a nice room and it turned out to be a hovel -dim, dingy, mouldy and the size of a cabinet. The smell of mildew/mould (and other odours) was overpowering resulting in my partner having to leave the room and go outside. What made it worse was the window could not be opened - we were informed of this as we entered the room. We did not stay there the night - in fact we only stayed a few minutes and left because of the conditions. A total waste of money. Overpriced. awful accommodation. It should be removed from the list of accommodation available in the area.
