Reviewed By lasantini5The Hotel had a very good central position. Our room was nice and clean, with a small balcony. The bathroom was also clean and well equipped. The staff was very accommodating and professional. Breakfast was ok.

Modern good hotel but disappointing and overpriced restaurant.
Reviewed By Ale KNothing to say about the hotel infrastructure; its modern, clean and has a nice heated swimming pool. Two main issues though: 1. Even with 50% occupancy or so, we were not able to book a treatment at the SPA. We tried to reserve at our arrival and we were told that for the 2 coming days it was full. 2. We were hugely dissatisfied and disappointed by the restaurant. We had high expectations for the dinner but it was mediocre and overpriced. The first night we tried the meat speciality and it was full of fat and chewy. The risotto was average. The pumpkin soup was excellent though. The second night was a total disaster. We waited 1 hour to be served. They brought the incorrect fish. As we didn’t want to wait anymore, my husband ate it but it was tasteless and with poor presentation (4 tiny pieces of fish with pumpkin purée and pieces of pumpkin on top plus 3 pieces of a cracker). No sauce, no other side veggies and no taste at all. However they charged the original and more expensive fish. Both nights we gave feedback but they were not receptive at all. Maybe they were understaffed given the low occupancy, or maybe it’s a collateral damage from Covid, but the result is unacceptable. It’s really a shame and we’re leaving with a bitter aftertaste of our experience.

Reviewed By GG1072We stayed here after a long flight for a few hours and it was totally great for that purpose. Overall clean, easy check-in, and close to the airport. Accessible via a tunnel that is about a 10 minute walk from arrivals.

My only cosmetic complain was regarding a bed mattress, softer to my liking, but acceptable. I would enjoy a stay in colder months due to thermal spa. One of the pools was salinated, nice. ??

Reviewed By brenogomes1We booked the Das Gutenbrunn Thermen & Sporthotel to explore Baden, Vienna and Semmering. The swimming pool complex set high expectations. It exceeded them all. The rooms are very spacious. The family room has separate spaces for double and twin beds. A tasty breakfast is served in a very nice and spacious room. The hotel is located in a quiet area within walking distance to Beethoven-Haus Baden, cafes, markets and restaurants. Vienna Airport and Rathausplatz are approximately half-hour drive, making this hotel a great base to explore several attractions.

Reviewed By 658esterfThe pictures of the hotel in the Internet are so nice. The reality is altough in some areas different. Already at the entrance you see that the design is from a different period. But our room had not the expected quality. The furniture and the floor showed clear signs of usage. There was mold in the bathroom and it was not cleaned properly. The room was only cleaned when a sign to clean the roon was on the door and then only the beds was made and the towels were changed. Breakfast and lunch were fine. The quality which I would expect in a 4 stars hotel. The service was good. The terasse with the view in the park is exceptional. This was really great. Spa: From our room we had to cross the lobby and go outside, pass the parking space to go to the spa area. The spa was fine and clean. Here also it was obvious that the sauna and the sun launger had seen better days.

Reviewed By 07nanI booked this hotel based on it's proximity to Melk, as we were going to tour the Abbey. The location is hard to beat, convenient to Melk, and the restaurants there. It has plenty of parking too if you have a car. The room itself was very nice, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good as well, a large selection available. And the staff we spoke with in the morning were nice, friendly and helpful, recommending some towns to drive to after we were done with visiting the Abbey. It was also reasonably priced. We didn't eat at the restaurant on site, it was closed the evening we stayed.
