First and last time at a Campanile
Reviewed By MarieMat66The room was incredibly basic and unwelcoming, and you had to walk outside 75m from reception to the room. We only stayed there because the Ibis we had booked had central heating failure - the price is much the same, but a huge difference in quality! Hardly room to walk down my side of the bed, bottom sheet so small it didn't cover the mattress, quilt nowhere near warm enough for the winter, draughty front door, icy cold floor tiles in shower room. We chose it partly because I thought in bad weather having an onsite restaurant would be good, but it was closed. First time at a Campanile, hugely disappointing, never again.

Reviewed By Dimitrios ANice hotel, simple but clean and comfortable. The staff and owners have been really welcoming and helpful. Perfect location, not too far from Agen and its Burroughs, surrounded by restaurants and supermarkets.

The setting on the banks of the river Lot is wonderful,the meals are excellent ,the staff is very helpful and the rooms are very comfortable.We will doubtless be back. My only very minor concern was that we can no longer watch BBC1 and ITV . Barry

Cracking stay at clean, friendly , family run hotel.
Reviewed By HANSTREBLIGWe were very well looked after at this lovely hotel. Great attention to detail, a warm welcome, clean and tidy with a most relaxing ambience and first rate breakfast. Wouldnt hesitate to reccomend! My only concern was that the manager was planning to remove the Bullfrog from the pond. I found it very charming!

A superb base to explore the region! So nice to come back on a hot day and cool off in the pool. Excellent value in our opinion. Only minor thing, had a smell of cigarette smoke in the room when we arrived. It dissipated quite quickly with the windows. A shame as the rest of the hotel was exceptionally clean. Could have been someone smoking next door or in the corridor so not marking anything down, was the only small negative.

Brilliant hotel (slightly late review)
Reviewed By Pswg13I visited here in June 2018 for dinner with my husband (I’ve only just set up a trip advisor account so the review is slightly late...). The food was absolutely fantastic, it was so delicious and made our evening really special. The quality and presentation was stunning and made us want to keep eating. If I came back to Duras this place would be first on my list.

Budget hotel with good ameneties

Plus points were the Bath- not found in many rooms on our trip, good internet connection and tea and coffee making facilities- also a rarity. We had dinner in the restaurant which was a fixed menu but adequate and reasonably priced. Downside was we were on the first floor which was a struggle for my disabled husband.

Reviewed By johnn02It's a very tipical Ibis Buget hotel, with simple and small rooms, maybe not perfect but I think it's ok for its price. Clean shower. Tasty breakfast. Big parking. Nice and gentile personel, they let us to leave the big bags at the reception few hours for free.

Stayed in a time-warp private house which is really a hotel. Great!

Owned by the same family for several generations, it is full of antiques, pictures, everything which a family may have collected over the years so it feels like you are staying a private home. The bedroom and bathroom were old fashioned but immaculately clean, good bedding, comfortable bed. The owner gives a very warm and personal welcome, he is proud of this gem of a place. It's not luxury but a great experience. We had breakfast in the stately dining room under the gaze of Stefan's great-grandmother the Comtesse.

It was beautifully decorated, cosy and had everything we needed for a sumptuous, indulgent, relaxing experience, right down to the spa bath!! We dined in the restaurant and the food was unexpectedly amazing! We both took the 38€ menu which was all absolutely delicious: Charlotte de truite gravelax; filet de mulet; suprême de pintade; and a bottle of Bourgogne Aligoté. Julien Amat is the talented chef in residence. Our waiter was attentive and very patient, as we practiced our own versions of the French language on him! Would highly recommend this lovely boutique-style hotel and fantastic restaurant.
