Wonderful stay in a perfect small, family hotel
Reviewed By Yvonne MWe had a delightfulweek's stay in this clean and pristine little hotel. Although frequent visitors to Canos, we'd never stayed there before. Our room was fairly small but compensated with a huge balcony. It was located on the corner of the hotel so enjoyed fabulous views of the sea andbeaches on either side whilst being perfectly located to enjoy the sunset. Parking across the road was very convenient and nice restaurants were within an easy walk. Everything in the room worked and all the staff were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our continental breakfast, sitting outside and served at the table. Good coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice and croissants, just enough for us.

Reviewed By laurahV8361PGThis is a real gem of a place in Los Caños! We spent a relaxing 7 nights here in a beautiful room with sea views and a small private balcony. Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace filled with plants and flowers - a great way to start the day! Free parking is a real bonus. Wifi connection was somewhat patchy in the room but perfect on the downstairs terrace area. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. Location is perfect - easy walk to great restaurants in either direction and the beach. Highly recommended! We will definitely return!

Great location and amazing value!
Reviewed By DaniFaganGood breakfast options, great coffee, easy parking, comfy beds, good air-conditioning, spotlessly clean. Nice grass lawn out front with shady areas to cop a spot if needed. Really close to the beach, 5 min walk if that. Couple of nice beach bars a few mins walk away, one had live music, both had limited food options but more than enough! Only downsides were that the fridge in the room wasn't very efficient, barely kept things cold..and the little terrace space outside our door was literally a foot away from the next door neighbours table...nothing to separate us from them so we couldnt sit outside.

Clean, good food and very friendly owners

The owners were very nice and helpful and when they noticed one of our party had mobility problems, they offered her a room on the ground floor. Both our rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom had a shower. Spanish breakfast was 3 Euro's each for coffee and toast, which was taken in the resaurant, we had evening meal once and it was excellent, had the 'catch of the day' which was lovely. The restaurant seems very popular with locals, which is good to see. The nearby beach is spectular, about a 15 min walk, very windy though, El Palmar beach is about a 10 minute drive away, but well worth a visit. The owners also let us use the swimming pool at the Casa, which was fantastic as we had it to ourselves and is about a 3 minute walk away. Fantastic location for visiting other towns, like Vejer de la Frontier, really recommend a trip to Los Canos de Meca, it had a really laid back, hippy vibe to it !

Reviewed By JuliaandJoeWe stayed here for 3 nights in early Sept. Los Canos is a one street kind of place - so we drove down the street and came across the Hostal Miramar by chance. What a lovely place - the staff are so friendly and helpful, even putting up with our pigeon Spanish. We paid 60 euro p/n for room with a balcony. There wasnt a view but we had somewhere to sit out if we wanted, and hang our towels!! Fairly spacious room, and clean. Breakfast was good. And the hostal is just over the road from the beach. It gets quite windy, so we borrowed chair / parasol from the hostal. We also spent some time at the pool, which is small but in a lovely garden area. Its also close enough to Vejer de la Frontera to go for the night, if you dont find what you're looking for in Los Canos. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Reviewed By PAUL BStayed in Bungalows Castillejos in September for four nights while on a culinary road trip around the Costa de Luz. We absolutely loved it and was our favourite place to stay on the trip. We stayed in the apartment with a roof terrace which was a real bonus. We had breakfast up there each morning, and afternoon siesta after the beach. We really wish that we could have stayed longer. The accommodation was clean, the kitchen well equipped, comfortable bed, and everything a beach house needs! Javier is a great host, communication was very easy and he's a cool guy. Three of the restaurants in the immediate area are superb. The beautiful beach is spitting distance and the location is peaceful and quiet. What more could you ask for!

A Beautiful place
Reviewed By CalinS_13We went for the day at the beach close to Tarifa so for the night we booked this place. Had a great look in the photos, had a pool and a car park. We got there, professional welcomed, beautiful room with kettle and bottles of water, fridge, a nice local touch. Very quiet, even close to the pool, which has a jacuzzi as well. The place has a hacienda style with modern touch. It's restaurant, where we had pizza was good as well, but not amazing. Thank you for the relaxing time!

We started in Barbate and checked 5 hostels/Casas/hotels before we found a room at El Capi. Run by Beatriz and her sister and a brother they and staff so friendly. Only downside about 15-20 mins walk to the beach and in the heat opted to drive there - lots of parking at Euro 3 Several restaurants within 5/10 mins walk but you cannot go wrong eating at El Capi

Reviewed By TednLottieWe stayed here for a week last May, we came for a relaxing beach holiday, with good food and lots of sun and we got all we could have asked for and more. The hotel is family run, they could not have been more friendly. We speak v little spanish and their english was not fluent, but we all made an effort and they were fantastic and very helpful so it was never a problem. They obviously care a lot about the services and facilities they provide, our room was immaculate and very comfortable. We must have trodden sand in from the beach but it was thoroughly cleaned everyday not a trace on the floors. Breakfasts were fabulous, everything you could want to eat cooked and buffet style, a table full of wonderful fresh breads, pastries, cake & biscuits every day. We ate in the hotel restaurant most days, this is a covered outdoor terrace with a glass screen to look over the sea. There was plenty of choice on the menu and a few favorite dishes we had to have more than once. A lot of fish & especially tuna, but good fresh tuna! There were often friends of the owners dining too in family groups, always a good sign when the locals come there too. We did go to Lulu's one day, a very lovely restaurant next door. Los Canos at that time of year is quiet. There are a lot of holiday apartments which I imagine are very busy in the summertime. There were two supermercado's within easy walking distance, 10 mins & 20 mins (the better one) although they were both really like small corner shops but they had fresh bread and everything we needed for simple picnics. Again very friendly the owner was calling my partner his amigo after a couple of visits. The beach nearest the hotel was just incredible. In the morning we were sometimes the first down and at night the only people on it. Beautiful golden sand and an amazing view of Africa! It is a naturist beach but really you can do as you please without any problem. On the cliff above the beach is the start of the national park and fantastic cliff top walks, very regrettably we never got very far as we just loved the beach too much. The sea could be quite big waves on windy days, it is the atlantic afterall but quite swimmable in. We were very lucky with the weather clear blue skies everyday and apart from the day we arrived the wind was never an issue. We are definitely looking forward to going back there.
