We left before Sunday a.m. breakfast so can’t report on that. We did get fresh coffee! Flavored creamers, too. ? Decent blow dryer! *Front Desk recommended a place for us to eat - make a reservation, most places had an extended wait.

Terrible customer service; unruly guests
Reviewed By susanjustsusanI love holiday inn express. On our visit to Janesville, I selected this hotel for the pool and hot tub and extreme cleanliness. However, I have to say overall this was a negative experience. The pool was stuffed with unsupervised children with adults sitting around drinking beer and leaving their garbage everywhere. It was a dangerous environment. Second, we attempted to call front desk for various things for hours; no one answered ever. Finally we went downstairs and the agent at front desk said they were “so busy.” Ice machine was broken. Breakfast was fine. Room was nice and clean but the lack of service for guests ruined this experience. Price was too high for the area as well. We won’t return.

For about $100, we got an exceptionally nice room. While we didn't use the pool, it was located right outside our door and the entire pool area looked clean and orderly. This would be perfect for a family with children. My only complaint is that the ONE staff person was obviously over-worked. I felt bad for him. There is a bar/restaurant down the hall from the hotel but it closes when it feels like it. We stopped for a drink and asked when they would close. We were told they close when people stop coming in. There are lots of restaurants and shopping near the hotel and it looks visually appealing. Remember, the restaurants near the hotel close whenever they feel like it, too. "Sometimes 9, sometimes 10, sometimes 10:30."

Could easily be better
Reviewed By 41willisaOlder hotel showing it’s age. The wall and carpet have been redone and look fine but furnishings need to be updated ie. arms of chair are dirty and wore out. If this were done the rating could easily be higher. Bathroom was updated and clean. Location near interstate is a positive.

Absolutely Horrible
Reviewed By moebearsThankfully only had to stay one night! It was comparable between staying the night in a kitty litter box and a smoked filled tavern. Was afraid to crack the window open for some fresh air because I was eye level to the parking lot. Tried the A/C to no avail. Asked for a late checkout ( ONLY because I had a function to go to later in the day) So they gave me till 11:30 instead of 11am At 11:10 bought some of my belongings out to the car and was locked out of my room even though I had verified the late checkout. Coffee pot leaked all over the chest & seeing I had no sleep I really needed it. The continental breakfast was slim pickings, cold cereal and a donut that looked like a “Little Debbie” Special. At least I got coffee

Great location off the interstate.
Reviewed By pease20018We were able to get a handicapped room for our return trip home from vacation with only a day notice. My parents were so impressed that they had no trouble moving around with my dad’s oxygen and my mom’s sits-walker. The staff was friendly and the breakfast in the morning was a great change from our other hotels during the trip.

Reviewed By Maria BAfter a 10 hour drive I decided to pull off the road when the sun started to come down, as I always do. I'm a solo female driver who travels for work. I made the choice of staying at the Motel 6 based on the previous nights stay at the Motel 6 in Erie, PA. I thought I could make staying at that chain some sort of "thing". I was wrong. When I pulled up I saw a bunch of people hanging around outside, which I thought was suspicious. I parked and asked the front desk agent about pricing, and also if all the people where "locals" or fellow travelers. She responded that the motels guests were mainly comprised of locals (essentially the owner operates as an apartment building), she herself having had lived there. I asked her if I was safe, and if my car would be broken in to. She said no. The people were sketchy, many to a room, loud music playing. Going against my better instincts I booked the room, as I was tired. As soon as I walked in the smell of mold consumed me. The beds had been slept in, and the sheets thrown back on. Or, someone had been hanging out in the room. None of the dressers were wiped, and there was crud along the bed. It was filthy, and I didn't feel safe. I went to the front desk at demanded a refund. Tessa was very helpful. She refunded my money, and helped me book a room at the Baymont, 1 Exit south on the Interstate. I HIGHLY recommend staying there instead. Please see attached pictures.

Perfect riverside hotel
Reviewed By SavvyBuffaloTravelerWe spent 3 days in the Cobblestone in Janesville, WI - a business/family trip - on the banks of the Rock River. The location was great with the river beside the hotel, an outdoor patio for warm weather, and the lights of the restaurants and shops visible on the other side. The river path and bridges provided easy walks to all the little shops, bars, and restaurants. Janesville downtown is full of historic interest and was as clean as a whistle. You got the feeling that people really care about the city. The hotel was also good, there is an excellent restaurant and bar, it deserves it's high ranking. Our room was well appointed, quiet, with comfortable beds. The staff were friendly and helpful. We were so pleased not to have to stay adjacent to the highway, big box stores, and lots of traffic -- we highly recommend the Cobblestone downtown.

Stayed overnight for granddaughter's baby shower
Reviewed By przank01we were in town for my granddaughter's baby shower. There are no rooms with two beds in them. We chose one king and a sofa. When the sofa bed was open, it touched the foot of the king. There was no way to move around the beds. You had to crawl over the bed to get to the bathroom. The bathrooms have no tubs, only showers with doors that cover only 1/2 the side of the shower. There was water all over the floor. Pool was warm, but no hot tube. Breakfast was fine. The small kids thought it was fun to make their own waffles. There are tables in the lobby to eat carry in food. Location is close to expressway exits.
