If you're visiting the US Museum next to the train station, this is a great hotel for that. The hotel has private parking and a very nice restaurant. Rooms are clean and very nice. I highly recommend!

Reviewed By N9207QTpamelapWe always stop here on the way to Argeles sur mer . Staff are lovely rooms are spacious and comfortable . Toilet had horrible stain which we’ve not had before hence 4 instead of 5 . Now take my own bath mat as stepping out of shower cubicle onto hard floor is not good ,floor gets wet so a little bath mat as I say every time would be a bonus .

Reviewed By John FHow the lady proprietor manages to keep a lid on this hotel - with seemingly little staff - is a mystery is me. A delightful place - we normally do not like hotels - and the swimming pool and bar an extra pleasure during those hot days. Shame she does not also have a restaurant if that is the standard she requires ( The local restaurants seem s bit sub standard ( if not closed) though the Asian place off the main square is good) Great place to stay.

This hotel is fine for an overnight stay, there is also a restaurant attached to it, where we enjoyed a nice dinner. We can say that the staff of the hotel was very obliging and helpful, as was the staff of the restaurant. The room was not large, but above all clean, and had all we needed. The room had a comfortable bed, which gave us a blissful and peaceful night's sleep on our journey. In any case, we'll be back.

A warm & friendly B&B in the heart of France only minutes from exit 20 on the A20 motorway. This recently renovated village house in the lovely market village of Chaillac used to be the servants accommodation for the 15th-century chateau opposite & still retains a lot of the original features. Great evening meals served by the Host Matthew who used to be a Head Chef and has worked all over the world

The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. We booked for the evening meal which was delicious and some of the best food I’ve eaten in France, everything was so fresh and from the local area - my first time trying Guinea foul (bought from a farm just along the road). I’d highly recommend you book for dinner if you stay here. Very pretty location and a lovely walk to the lake which isn’t far. We throughly enjoyed our stay and I’m sure we’ll be visiting again. Dated but good location and value
Reviewed By STN1952Typical Campanile, you know what you are getting, basic furnishing, relatively comfortable and clean. This hotel is showing signs of age, cracking of the walls, damp in the bathroom ceiling, peeling wallpaper and paintwork. Parking is good. On a busy roundabout there is a degree of traffic noise, but with the window shut it wasn't too intrusive. We arrived to find the restaurant was shut, however, the manager recommended La Boucherie just 5 minutes walk away which proved excellent. Good value for one night if you book in advance.

Reviewed By dannyo949Let's be honest about our experience with this hotel. The pictures on the site give a much better impression than reality - they seem to have an excellent photographer. The rooms are clean but small, especially the bathroom. Some maintenance is needed, that's for sure. The food in the restaurant was good and for a fair price. The personnel was friendly. But the garden and terrace really need a gardener. So what you see on the site (trendy garden) was really not comparable with reality. The price for a room is fair but again, expectations were higher.

Reviewed By frigateThis was a real find. We were planning a birdwatching trip to France, specifically to the Brenne region with all its lakes . It is just off the road, in deep woodland (to which the resident dog took us one morning before breakfast - and then abandoned us!). By the way, this area is very thinly populated. It does not support eating places after lunch. We finally found one in Le Blanc, so be warned. The farm with its tiny chateau is old and very beautifully restored. We had a lovely big gite-room, lovely decor, comfy sofa, great bed, all very rustic and chic. Caroline has done the restoration and her artistic gifts were in evidence everywhere. The breakfasts were splendid. Can't rate the room, setting, food and 'service' too highly. A perfect place for getting away from it all, writing a novel or birdwatching. And there is no wi-fi, so no excuses for not dropping out of the world for a bit. The first bird we say was outside our door - a Black Redstart. Tick!
