Situe a la sortie du village de Hourtin, a 10 km des plages et a 2 km du Lac, l’hotel Les Pins vous accueille toute l’annee,a l’exception des fetes de fin d’annee,dans un environnement calme et verdoyant ! Les 18 chambres, de plain-pied, sont autour de la piscine exterieure (ouverte en saison uniquement). Elles sont climatisees, equipees du Wifi gratuit et d’une television ecran plat avec la TNT et quelques chaines etrangeres. Une chambre a ete specialement concue pour les personnes a mobilite reduite. Un grand parking est a votre disposition pendant votre sejour. Nos amis les animaux ne sont pas acceptes dans l’etablissement. L’hotel les pins est labellise accueil velo et constitue une etape sur la Velodyssee (mise a disposition d'un local a velo ferme). Devant l'hotel, vous pouvez emprunter les pistes cyclables et profiter des nombreuses activites de la station.

Reviewed By 235davidoWe stayed here for one night having caught the ferry from Royan to Pointe-de-Grave. It’s relatively easy to find and only a few minutes from the cycle route. The hotel is laid out like a chalet park with the rooms surrounding the pool. The pool was very well maintained and whilst not heated, provided a welcome cool-off at the end of a hot day. We were in room 15 which was south facing and benefited from the afternoon sunshine. Two deck chairs were provided which we made the most of after our swim. The main reason for my average review was the dated room and bed! The bed was definitely past its sell by date and no additional pillows were provided. The AC only seemed to blow warm air so was worse than useless. That said everything was clean and presentable; just in need of an overhaul. The bathroom was functional but there was no bracket to attach the shower attachment at head height - bizarre! They do however provide a lock-up building to store the bikes and breakfast at €9 each was reasonable value for the buffet provided. Cycling this way? Then with accommodation being relatively scarce in this area it’s worthy of a stop-over, particularly as there is an excellent restaurant nearby (Resto de la Gare); see separate review.

Reviewed By Biloute3362Très bon séjour passé sur ce site. Le calme est plus qu’appréciable. Les chalets sont bien espacés et les parties communes parfaitement entretenues. Jean Michel qui gère le site est très accueillant et sympathique. Il n’hésite pas à donner des conseils pour profiter à fond des alentours. La piscine est super. Notre chalet était très fonctionnel et bien équipé. Nous recommandons vivement

We offer luxury bed and breakfast (chambres d'hotes de luxe) holiday accommodation in Hourtin in the heart of the Medoc, in the SouthWest of France, 45 minutes drive north of Bordeaux. We are a short walk away from the largest Freshwater lake in France; Carcans - Hourtin - Maubuisson lake. A real inland sea covering over 6,000 hectares, at the same time just a 2 minute walk from the Centre of the Ville of Hourtin where you will find all the local amenities and shops.
Basic minimum - not my idea of 'boutique' - very disappointing.
Reviewed By sefaelaNice pool but not available after 7pm and only opened just before check out (10.30am) i.e. closed at the times you would want a swim. Only one medium sized towel per person. NO toiletries. Basic breakfast around kitchen sink (or outside). Cars not allowed inside the gates so bags etc have to be carried a long way. Certainly not worth 100€. I was looking forward to sharing lovely time with my daughter and granddaughter but it was very disappointing.It felt like the enthusiasm for guests had worn off and everything was done to a minimum.

Reviewed By stevenw60For a friendly welcome, a basic but clean room, a swim after a day at the beach or having cycled 70km in 35 deg heat (in our case) and a delicious French breakfast (fresh bread, homemade yoghurt, great coffee) then this is the place. Great value for money. Enjoy!

Rude and inconsiderate - ruined my honeymoon
Reviewed By Hattie_d-bDO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND BOOK HERE - SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ANYWHERE ELSE!! To begin with, I would have given this property 0 stars if I could! I had booked this property for a delayed honeymoon break in July this year. Unfortunately, COVID-19 hit! I was following Government guidelines and watching carefully hoping it would be safe by the time my trip came around. I suffer from asthma and a heart condition so have had to be extra careful throughout the pandemic. Once it got to a month before my intended break I decided the risk was too much to travel. So, I contacted the property to see if they would be happy for me to move my dates if possible to next year (I had a couple of other properties booked throughout this period and they were more than happy to do this). I didn't want a refund as I still wanted to stay at this property another time. I contacted David at the property and explained my situation and this is where it all went downhill.... not only did his attitude absolutely stink but he said he could not do this and I would have to cancel - I had paid for the property in full and would loose all my money if I did! He claimed that I had waited to cancel at the last minute due to my 'personal convenience' - WELL IF YOU CALL MY HEALTH A PERSONAL CONVENIENCE then yeah!! We are currently going through an unprecedented ever changing situation and I was holding on in the case that I might be able to go on my honeymoon break I had actually saved 6 months for! Needless to say I had to cancel as I wasn't going to risk my health, but was absolutely devastated. I booked this via Booking.com and they tried to get my money back to no avail. David explained that he had to protect his business which I absolutely understand. But he had received full payment from me was not being flexible. I don't think treating your potential customers the way he has and being so rude IS PROTECTING HIS BUSINESS! I understand a month before doesn't give him much time to re-book the room. But the chances of him doing this at all throughout the last 3 months would have been pretty unlikely, due to the fact most of the world had been in lockdown!! He had my money he wasn't going to miss out, he could of had a heart during this difficult time and looked after his potential customers.... I predict the businesses that do this will come out on top at the other end of this difficult period. The property looked beautiful and I was really looking forward to staying but, I'm glad this has happened and I've found out the kind of person that runs this property before I got there as I'd rather eat my left foot than be around people like this!! Who knows one day I might be able to afford to book ANOTHER honeymoon break :( Like I said, don't waste your time, I'm sure theres equally nice properties run by better nicer people you can stay at. Such a shame...
