The 10 best hotels in Granada, Spain

August 7, 2022 Fernanda Pittenger

The Alhambra citadel of Granada is one of the most famous buildings in Spain: a Moorish fortress with grand archways and delicate ornamental mosaics. Step backwards in time as you wind through the ascending cobblestone streets of Albayzin. You’ll be rewarded with beautiful views from the Mirador San Nicolas. Granada’s nightlife is vibrant and varied, thanks in part to its student population. Hit the bars of Calle Elvira or, for a quieter outing, the traditional tea rooms of La Calle de Las Teterias.

Located a few minutes walk from the Alhambra, this property provides first class facilities and service. The reception staff, housekeeping and the restaurant and bar staff provided attentive service. Our room was spacious, clean, well appointed and offered a terrific view of the city and the Sierra Nevada mountains. It was one of the better places we stayed in our two week tour of southern Spain.

AC not working and challenging staff

Reviewed By ADAM_Smith_surrey

Hotel was OK but a bit run down, few items looked dated. Importantly, the AC in both rooms we booked was "stuck" at 25 degrees, was difficult to sleep. Matter raised with staff on a number of occasions with repeated promises of it is fixed now. The team became increasingly rude and unprofessional as the issue was not resolved. Had a terrible two nights as this was the only option as the team was more and more difficult, even though the room temperature was clearly showing 25 9n the monitor. Hotel spoiled what was supposed to be a great first family visit to Granada.

The location of this hotel was excellent for us. It's just a minute away from the bus stop for the bus to The Alhambra; cost is only 1.40 euros. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and the staff are very helpful. In addition, it's located in the old part of town, so it's an easy walk to just stroll the streets to take in the sights.

Staff was friendly and helpful and even helped my ship back an Ipad I left in the room. Would recommend this place or stay again if in Granada.

Nice hotel w/excellent location.

Reviewed By ribboy

Nice hotel with good service and great location in the center of the city. My wife and I really enjoyed the breakfast which had a great selection. The room had a lovely view of a nearby church and even though the area was usually busy, when the windows were closed, it was VERY soundproof. We were never bothered by noise at night. The hotel property was very clean and well maintained but unfortunately, our room wasn't. Our room wasn't dirty, it was very clean but seemed a bit run down, Scuffs on the floor, a door that wouldn't close easily as it scraped the floor, stained upholstery on chair, etc. Again, our room was very clean and we didn't ask to be moved, (there was no need for that) just pointing out that for our room, it was time for some maintenance and a refresh. Other than that, we would stay here again as the staff, location and breakfast made this a very good option for a stay in Granada.
