Reviewed By spamisfood3The staff was friendly and the hotels was nice looking. The location was a nice location. But it had issues. The bed was so hard that my wife had to sleep on the couch. All of the carpet was nasty and sticky. The door was hard to shut. The toilet moved when you got up. The fridge was barely cold. Along with a few other minor issues.

The breakfast is Great! plus there were gloves there for the guest to use instead of bare hands. The location and curb appeal of hotel looked really good clean and safe.

VERY DUSTY AND DIRTY!
Reviewed By elizabethhI5753ALMotel room was awful with dust and dirt. Walls were filthy and need a coat of paint badly. Beds are worn out and very hard. Pillows were old, lumpy and out of shape. Bathroom toilet was as short as you will find. We just fled out of there as soon as we could after our first night. Stayed long enough the next day to attend a wedding, but could not take 1 more night of this room. Left from wedding and drove 3 hours home. Did not ask for a refund since we used room for getting ready for wedding. I DO NOT recommend this place at all!

One of the larges shopping centers in the area is located within 6 miles of your stay at Holiday Inn Express - Clayton / Garner. We offer free High Speed Internet and local calls, delicious Express Start Breakfast Bar, 24hr. Front Desk Attendant, safe deposit boxes at the front desk. We provide a hair dryer, coffee pot/Smart Roast coffee, and iron/iron board in every room. Guest comfort and satisfaction are our priorities.

Reviewed By scottagecheeeeseMy family was traveling back to Virginia Beach from Orlando. We hit some pretty nasty rain storms around 1am and finally decided to call it quits. A few unsuccessful attempts at other hotels due to availability we drove a little out of our way and arrived at this Holiday Inn. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Resort in Orlando, and we weren’t THAT impressed. But, I will say that this hotel impresses, from cleanliness, friendliness of staff, and furnishings. It definitely checked all the boxes. We checked in around 230/3am and the staff was very nice, even opened their dining area to get my 2yr. old a milk for bed. In the room everything was clean and the bed sheets were amazingly soft. We slept in a little late and the staff didn’t bother us at all, and no compliant at checkout. I typically don’t write reviews but I was pleased with my experience and the hotel itself. 10/10 I recommend this to anyone in the area that needs a place to stay. Also, there’s a Cracker Barrel right next door for a quick bite at arrival or before departure.

There was urine caked down the toilet, the shower head dripped continually, the blow dryer was ripped out, the remote did not work, fan thumped throughout the night, phone was filthy, temperature dial broken off the shower faucet, the plaster was coming off in so many areas and to top it off a bug ran from the bathroom!!!!!!

The area has everything you need to get comfortable and be close to shops. I originally booked at an extended stay and that was a nightmare. This place was a pleasant surprise to be able to rest and work after that experience.
