Reviewed By Travellover2224We just got home from the most amazing weekend at The Juliana. My best friend and I took our 3 kids and I have nothing bad to say about our stay. The property is so beautiful, clean, and welcoming. We LOVED the beach, playground, and wooden swings. They have a beautiful pool as well, we just didn’t end up using it this time. The other families staying at the resort were so friendly and all our kids were playing together. So nice to be able to have our own private beach with chairs provided. We can’t wait to come back again!! Thank you for such a great weekend!!

We are a Hotel, We have 3 bedroom suites, 2 bedroom suites and motel rooms. A very large Rec center with games and indoor fireplace, We are on Lake George we have Lake access, you can swim, lounge, play at the Lake. We have 2 fire pits, picnic tables, charcoal grills, volleyball, horseshoes, basketball, children play area, Olympic size pool, We are on the trolley line so pick up and drop off weather its to Bolton Landing, Lake George, Glens Falls, Great Escape etc. We accept pets 20lbs or less NO exceptions! With a pet fee.

Reviewed By misterg2616After reading a prior review, I had to post this review. Our stay was also in August 2020. Can't say enough about our stay. Wendy was first class all the way from check-in to check-out. The room was spotless and had everything we needed for a stay as a family of 5 with a 4-month infant. We were able to cook meals which was a great savings and convenience. We had a 2-bedroom unit and we were glad to have followed another guests suggestion of bringing fans to move the cool air from the air conditioned common area into the bedroom. I might suggest that the owner consider putting ceiling fans in the bedrooms. Other than that, everything was wonderful. The pool was delightful. The beach was too. Bring pool shoes. We even used the grills that were provided down by the beach. The recreation room is great if you have teenagers along with you. Wendy was their for all our needs. We were so happy that we booked for next summer before leaving. It is just far enough away from the hustle bustle of Lake George Village to make it nice and quiet.

Great stay, perfect for families!
Reviewed By Debcurtis19I can't say enough about this property! We stayed in the Eagles Nest, which is a 3 bedroom house. We had 3 adults and 2 children, and the space was huge. Great size kitchen/dining area and family room and the bedrooms were also large (2 kings, 1 queen). It smelled so clean when we walked in and all the furniture was brand new. Beds were super comfortable as well. We also had a small deck with an outdoor table and a private fire pit area. The location was great- we couldn't see the lake, which may be a con for some, but didn't bother us. It was really quiet and peaceful, which we wanted, and only a short drive to town. We also got out early and did our sight seeing/touristy stuff early, which left us with the pool to ourselves in the afternoon when everyone else was out and about! Some little details that I noticed: 1. there were a variety of types of pillows (I'm picky, so I notice). 2. There were hooks for hanging things throughout the house- which normally you wouldn't care about, but when you're hanging bathing suits, towels, goggles, jackets, etc., all those hooks came in handy! 3. The kitchen was well appointed- plates, cups, cutlery, serving utensils, toaster, coffee maker, full sized fridge, microwave, etc. We try to save money on food on vacation so being able to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner at "home" was fantastic. 4. There were pool toys! My kids were thrilled! Actually- the entire pool area was fantastic... 5. The game room had a lot of things to do and there was also an outdoor play area and outdoor games. Plenty to do to keep busy, even if you stay on the property or find yourself with a rainy day. When checking in the owner was telling me and another guest that they had just acquired the property in January. The fact that they have accomplished so much (new furniture, linens, brand new paint, fixing things on the property, installing central air, etc) in a time that has been beyond difficult for the hospitality business is nothing short of amazing. I can only imagine what this property will look like in a year. There are still little things here and there that I imagine are on their list of things - our sliding door stuck a bit, the game room was also a storage spot- but NOTHING that took away from our enjoyment and stay. We have already booked another stay when we come back to town for the Adirondack Nationals. The only thing to note was that there were no towels. We called down to ask and were told that there should have been an email saying that they were not doing towel service due to Covid. I somehow missed this. They were more than accommodating and brought us a few (we had beach towels with us, but they still supplemented) to help get us through. So glad we found this place and can't wait to come back!

Reviewed By mcF8546PELet me start by saying the rooms are fine and clean BUT are certainly no steal of a deal--plus we stay in the off season. The hotel efficiency's are small but the bed is comfortable. The cabins are all being updated and are nice, the best part is having a full kitchen. There is a Large house you can rent on the hill-which is epic. Well decorated, great views and lots of bedrooms and massive open floor kitchen living room with balcony. I have stayed in all of them and have first hand direct knowledge of each. I will also say, for perspective, all neighboring properties are cheaper. I have chosen those over BL for price a few times. The competitors rooms are very comparable and clean, just dated. Although they may have less extra perks-beach boat dock things like that. There is a nice but small open field in the middle to throw a frisbee and what not. Parking is fine with well marked spots. The WIFI is great which was added in the past few years and was really needed because up until that there was no service. Blue Lagoon has a great but small beach with a boat launch right in the middle of it. The water is well marked with buoys and also has many Adirondack chairs and a tiny swing set area. They have row boats and such for you to use. They used to have a crappy ping pong table, I don't think that's been replaced. The dock is decrepit, off balance, dangerous and narrow. We (about 50+) have stayed here for about a decade straight. Always in September on what may or may not be their last weekend open for the season. We always rent the entire place out. We have never been given a discount or group rate. We have handicapped family so it is one of the only locations ON Lake George that all the cabins are on one level. For this reason we can not leave. When we first started coming we were provided a fair amount of wood for each night. For the past few years they have been extremely stingy and down right disrespectful with the offerings. They have actually given us construction debris a couple times as our wood for the night. I'm talking interior wood trim and paneling with full blown nails and stuff (pics attached). When we have approached them asking for more wood and explained we are even willing to buy it, they provide soaking wet wood that won't burn or just ignore it or give us barely any at all. They have instructed us to get fetch it ourselves from a scrap pile across the street. Does it make sense to have people carrying wood cross Route 9N on a blind corner. Not to mention the fire pit has been falling apart for years. They have done continuous upgrades to the property which is amazing but you can't help but wonder if this "bonus" weekend we provide to them doesn't help cover some of those costs. We are not looking for something for nothing. Furthermore they are so short sighted they could be profiting by providing an additional service. Again we have no choice to leave and they must know that. So hey take advantage of your biggest most consistent customer-cool!

Reviewed By GoYankees2351"Thank you for your hospitality" is a phrase I often use when leaving someone's home, or a vacation resort on the beach. Because I leave with a feeling of being "home/with all the amenities". This is exactly how my husband & I felt for the 2.5+ months extended stay we had at Hillview Cottages. I could write a BOOK listing all the great things with this location. But I will surmise it with, the Host, Mr. Tom, his lovely wife Michelle, rest of family and their staff made us feel SO DARN WELCOME. We stayed in the Chalet (OH MAN IT IS BEEEE-AUUUU-TIFUL), we were lucky, and it had EVERYTHING in that 2 bedroom lovely space. Especially the view...what a lovely, relaxing, serene, calm, beautiful, peaceful place. It's exactly what we needed. Our stay was from late Winter to early Sprint. It was so great to be able to COOK and not eat junk food/have to do expensive food orders. We had never been to Lake George before...suffice it to say...WE ARE GOING BACK...to Hillview Cottages too, don't really want to try out any other places. The host, Mr. Tom, staff (the lovely Fallon, Chris, Kara and others) are some serious hard working, but jovial and respectful bunch. And Mr. Tom's wife had us cracking up every time we met up. We were in Lake George for almost 7 months on business, we went from hotel to hotel, then we found and spent the last 2.5+ at the Hillview Cottages and we felt so blessed to be there. The business trip turned into a lovely "home away from home" vacation...as we were so very relaxed. Thank you guys for making us feel so welcome, thank you for your hard work daily on the property, and thank you for giving us someplace lovely to visit, come Fall season! That's where we will be headed. All our best for the coming Summer season. The property is exactly as the pictures attached...quiet, peaceful, beautiful, woodsy, rustic charm, great view of Lake George, with all the amenities.

Reviewed By DJCooksWe rented 2 lake side rooms at Golden Sands Resort. It was a nice clean motel on a beautiful lake. It was a little old fashion but that was part of the charm. The family said they felt like they were in resort from dirty dancing! The staff was pleasant and helpful. It is in a great location easy access to busier tourist areas if you desire or just relax around a fire watching the the sunset! We will return.

I am a professional Tetris player, and I bring my Tetris game everywhere I go. Tetris only needs about 2-3 mbps download speed, so I never have issues. Unfortunately, Tressure Cove has the worst wifi I have ever used, and I couldn't even play Tetris. I went to the staff and asked to look at the router, and it was literally a toaster. I'm Pissed!!!!!!

You can tell that Stanley, the owner, takes great pride in the appearance of his property. If Lake George to you is about being outdoors & enjoying the natural beauty of the area, while still saving some money, then look no further. The cottages here are all very clean & comfortable, the grounds well maintained....and all for a very reasonable price.
