Reviewed By silversurfer6We have stayed in this particular hotel MANY times over the years. It has never failed to be clean and comfortable and everything we needed. I have never had any hesitation in recommending it to friends and family and all who have stayed there have agreed. We liked the upgraded bathroom arrangement this time too. As we now live in France, it is so good to have this hotel to break our journeys back to England to visit friends and family. Thoroughly recommend!!!

Reviewed By lisacL7805IBThe double comfy room (404) was not as expected, with stains on the carpet, only one bottle of water on both nights (there were two of us), UK stations not working on the TV, air condition noisy and not sufficient and a low sloping ceiling which proved troublesome for my partner being 6ft 2inches tall. The bathroom is need of an upgrade with the shower leaking and the bath filling with water as you shower. The hairdryer was something of a relic and took forever to dry my hair. There was no plug socket near a mirror to enable me to use my GHD’s. As we were only staying for the two nights we decided not to request a room change, however due to the awful experience in the restaurant, we feel it only fair to give an overall review of our stay. • We made a reservation in the restaurant at 7:30 p.m. • Service was slow however we placed an order for some still water and two gins. • The gins arrived and we had to chase for the water. • Our original server then asked if we wanted water! • We had bread on the table but no side plates. • We placed an order of two burgers (no starters). • At 8:40 p.m. we chased our meal. The original server gave no apology or explanation. • At 8:55 p.m. our meal arrived. • No one attended our table to see if we needed more drinks or whether everything was satisfactory. • To add to our annoyance, we noticed that you had a couple, who appeared to be regular to your hotel, receive first class service with almost all of the serving staff acknowledging and having a conversation with them, pouring their drinks and ensuring they were well looked after. • When we had finished our meal, another server collected our plates and we expressed our disappointment and asked to speak with the Restaurant Manager. • We were not asked whether we wished for a dessert. • We would have expected the Manager to attend immediately or some communication from the server to say how long he/she would be. We therefore left our table. • On leaving the restaurant we spoke with the maître d to express our disappointment again and that we had hoped to speak with the Manager. The maitre d did say she would try and locate him but we then declined as it was then too late for any resolve. I said we would not be prepared to pay for the meal as the treatment we had received was appalling and unacceptable. I asked her to ensure she spoke with the Manager and for him to waiver the cost of the meal which she should feedback to reception ready for our departure. • We had no call or message from the Restaurant Manager expressing his apology or explanation. • Much to our annoyance, on check-out the deduction had not been made so we had to go through the events again. • Luckily the Manager on duty was sympathetic to our disappointment and a deduction was eventually made. We are frequent travellers so we are familiar with what standards and service requirements look like. We would kindly ask that you do not respond with how busy the evening was. We would expect any good establishment and Restaurant Manager be fully aware of the bookings and subsequently equipped with adequate and fully trained staff so that each and every guest is looked after equally and that your standards that you claim to have on your website are always met. Our experience does not afford your hotel with a good rating and we will not be recommending to our network of colleagues or friends.

Reviewed By psyukWe spent 3 nights at Novotel Thalassa Le Touquet for Easter and cannot recommend the hotel enough. Our family room was clean and comfortable. The sea view was just fantastic and our 8 year old son was really pleased with the WIFI connection and the indoor swimming pool, which we used every morning after breakfast. Staff members were polite, professional and friendly. The food at the restaurant (incl. breakfast) was absolutely delicious, especially the seafood. There is a lot to do in Le Touquet - walks on the beach, shopping in the town centre and we also found a mini-golf and a supervised Disney club on the beach with trampolines, beach games etc for our son. Le Touquet has become our favourite French destination for a restful long weekend not too far from England and Novotel Thalassa Le Touquet the best hotel for us. Thank you for taking such good care of your guests, we will definitely be back soon!

Good budget choice

I like the apartment type hotel properties that seem to proliferate in France and this one was pretty much the same as a lot I have stayed in before. Room 401 from the floor plan in the room was the smallest room type they had and was big enough for my needs. The room was basically furnished and equipped but everything there worked and the bathroom had plenty of hot water. The property had parking in the basement but the ramp down to it was terrible with bump after bump as you drove down. The location of the property was nice overlooking the harbour which like a lot of cities and towns everywhere is undergoing a transformation and becoming more residential and commercial. Overall not a bad place for the price.

Reviewed By E-GivaudanHotel located in front of the sea and near of shops area. The "duplex" room was comfortable except the bathroom which was to small to include shower + lavatory + toilets. We didn't use the restaurant nor the breakfast services.

Reviewed By Q6928SNlisapStayed here as part of a golf package and loved the hotel. It was everything I would expect from a hotel of this calibre; including the cost of drinks and food. All a bit on the expensive side but the quality and service were top notch. We didn't mind as we had expected this to be the case but others should be prepared. I would definitely stay here again but might need to save up first.

Reviewed By Birkdale1Nice traditional French hotel, ideal for short break or stop over as we did. Only 50 miles from Calais. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and the rooms surprisingly good. Quite modern, nice furniture, quality linen, modern en suite. Good location as very central yet parking easy as you can park in the casino over the road for free. Deserves to be a three star really. The hotel restaurant was also very good. As you might expect it is very French, no concessions to foreigners, but I prefer it that way. Plat du jour was lovely and reasonably priced. Would stay again
