THE PERFECT FAMILY GETAWAY

The booking was swift for us, Ms. Arvee from the reservation answered all my inquiries and catered to our special request for the set-up of the twin boys birthday (it really made us feel extra special). CHECK-IN: fast and well coordinated. We are given welcome drinks and cold towels to freshen up. HOTEL: Garden paradise, it is well kept. (though, expect lots of nature loving creature around you since it is a very lush garden inspired resort). POOL: Warm water and very clean. With kiddie pool 2ft thne main pool of up to 4ft. There's a deep pool as well of 7ft. RESTAURANTS: Food is quite good, must try 5 Cheese Pizza and Mozzarella Sticks. Kuddos to the staff who always give in to my off-menu request like the Cherry Margarita and Calamansi Shake. Shout out to the best staff Mr. Michael who knows my favorite drink already =) ROOM: Big enough for the entire family, and mu kids aren't the average cuties =) SERVICE: Really good, all the staffs are friendly and are willing to help as much as they could, good job to Jas of front office and Jojo as well. who always ask us as how our day was. PROS; Great for a family getaway, they have a lot of services to offer. Sports like kayaking, table tennis, badminton and lots more. They also have in-house Spa you can enjoy after a tiring day on the island. CONS: Wi-fi mostly is weak around the resort, i think this is something they should work on. Mobile Network on limited on the resort, close to non inside the room in Deluxe area. Insects, expected since it is in a greeny lush area so please bring your insect repellants especially to those with little ones like us.

We were looking for a place to stay that was reasonably priced, close to town for our island hopping experience, clean, has a pool for kids and good breakfast! This place had it all! I only wish that their restaurant food had bigger servings. I don’t mind paying $$ but it has to be worth my money. Other than this, The Funny Lion is perfect! I will highly likely bring my family back!

Reviewed By TabbybugsPros: 1. Exemplary frontdesk lady and doorman/bellhop (sorry I forgot their names). She was very welcoming upon receiving us, briefed us with the hotel policies and schedules (something most hotels neglect) and even asked us about our expected pick-up time. Also even if our tour is booked with a different travel agency, she still offered to lend us hotel towels. As for the doorman/bellhop, when asked about the restaurant we wanted to try he even offered to reserve us a tricycle and even told us that we could ask the same tricycle to pick us up after dinner. 2. We booked the panoramic suite and loved it so much that we wanted to ask about the architect and interior designer of the hotel. We had great views of the sea, a large private balcony, spacious sitting area/work station and a gorgeous bathroom. 3. The artistic touches of the hotel were fascinating. For example once you fill the tub with water, light reflects to the mother of pearl in-laid ceiling simulating sunlight reflecting off rippling water. A similar play of light can also be seen in the front desk giving it an under the sea vibe. We also loved the artpieces on display specially the ones made of abalone shells. 4. Breakfast buffet was varied and mostly good. 5. Location is excellent right in Coron town with several surrounding souvenir stores. It is about 10 minutes away by tricycle from Santino's and 15 minutes away by private vehicle from the jump-off point of island tours. Very minor negative observations that did not affect our stay: 1. Signs of wear, a few wall cracks and peeling pool tile surface colors. 2. Different colors of the window tint of our room and a few lime deposits on its surface.

Reviewed By Burqueman505We visited Coron last month for 5 days. "Herve", I believe the Hotel manage or owner was very helpful and patient with us in obtaining the S-Pass to enter Palawan. At the airport, I was told by several staff that the hotel was very nice. We were excited. As we arrived staff there were very cordial, offered cold drinks and a cool wet cloth to freshen up. Our deluxe room was on the 3rd floor, had a nice view of the sea on one side and the swimming pool on the other. The room had a refrigerator, a lot of closet space, safe and a great working AC. These were the things that mattered the most to me in a room. The restaurant on site was incredible. There was no need to really eat anywhere else. Everything we ordered we shared because all the dished were so good, not to mention the breakfast was included. The staff are the friendliest and possibly the best hosts I have been cared for. I would definitely come back and highly recommend staying at Corto del Mar.

Reviewed By ozparvaizThe resort is beautiful with 360 views of the water. The island tip and beach bungalow rooms have incredible views and are 50 feet from the beach. The beach staff offers complimentary paddle boarding, kayaking and snorkeling. The highlight of our stay was the ultimate island tour (our amazing tour guide was JR). We visited crystal clear lakes, ship wrecks, coral gardens and lagoons. JR also taught us how to shallow dive. Coron is like heaven on earth! The reception staff (Gaby and Dana) were friendly always helpful. The restaurant service (Jojei, Rommel, Nel, Donald and Ralf) were so good! And Chef Mike very kindly served all of our families needs including my gluten allergy. We’re grateful to the 2 seasons staff for giving our family a once in a lifetime experience!

Reviewed By MistyreeOur family of 20 booked a full accommodation with tours from May 9 to 12,2017. We loved the hotel, the big two bedroom and the people are extra courteous and friendly. The only thing that we are.sad and alarmed about is bec 80% of us got sick. Right after our tour we got tummy ache and LBM. Were suspecting the food or drink they served us during the tour. Too bad, it was almost perfect if the hotel can only take control of.what the tour will serve to their respective guests. May this be a lesson to travelers. This is a.very serious matter. Until now.some.of us are.still suffering from it.

Reviewed By jblisbonA few months ago we organised a trip to the Philippines this January and we included Coron for a 3 night stay. We booked La Natura resort via Booking.com for their great reviews. By December according to accepted policy the total amount was debited. In January after the eruption of lake Taal vulcano we were forced to cancel all the trip (Lovely Coron was not affected at all but other parts of the trip were). I contacted La Natura and asked about a possible refund. Their general manager offered to do a full refund in case our rooms would be resold. Today I got a message from La Natura general manager informing me they will give me my money back. The reputation of a business is all about the way you respect and take care of your costumers. CORONA VIRUS SITUATION
Reviewed By manonpoupetteWe were supposed to spend 3days in this hotel. Unfortunately, a month before our stay, the Philippines closed their borders because of the coronavirus. We were unable to go to the Philippines and therefore to this hotel. We immediately contacted the hotel to explain the situation and to request a refund/voucher. The manager asked us for proof of cancellation of our flights,which we provided. Since that day,we have had no news from them. I tried to contact them several times by email as well as by phone but I didn't get a response The cancellation or rebooking should and MUST apply when things as exceptional as a pandemic happen. It is NOT OUR FAULT that we were unable to stay at your hotel. I understand that you can't refund all your customers but you can AT LEAST give us a voucher (like others hotels have !) You haven't been understanding with your customers and that is why I DON'T recommend you I will not be staying at your hotel next year when i go on my honeymoon to Coron !

Reviewed By JPKMDFrom the moment you walk thru their clean lobby, you are met with very warm Filipino hospitality. Warm smiles and respectful language. The front desk staff are very helpful, always attending to our every question or request promptly. The resort is truly fantastic, not too big so that it is more cozy while the rooms fronting the poolside are very spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with wifi, amenities that are beyond my expectations like robes, slippers, pool towels, instant coffee and kettle, sanitation needs, etc. The staff helped us navigate our way around town by calling our trike rides, recommending the best restaurants around, and even setting us up for island hopping, etc. The resort staff pay attention to what we need and that made a lot of difference in making our vacation not just wonderful but over-all fantastic.
