Reviewed By phuerta05Most definitely recommend staying here. It is very clean. Their workers are polite & friendly and they offer excellent daily breakfast! It’s in a great location no outside noise which died too interrupt a good night rest!! I will continue to book here for my Coalinga trips!

Good overnight stop while traveling I-5 in California
Reviewed By C LWe decided to break up our normally 10-hour drive to Orange County with an overnight stay at Harris Ranch. It’s been about 20 years (plus a pandemic) since I stayed there. Some things have changed, but the warm hospitality is still tops. We were in room 219. Positives: Pool view and balcony with 2 chairs and small table —nice! Thoughtful touches: night light in bathroom, extra towels that are nice and fluffy, two sinks (1 outside the shower area) both with lots of counter space, magnifying mirror by the sink in the dressing area, luggage rack, two chairs at the table in the room plus a comfy chair bedside. Unlike most places we’ve stayed in the past several years, The thermostat actually worked to control the AC and the AC did a great job of keeping a reasonably even temperature in the room. Negatives: I like to read a real book or newspaper in bed and the lighting was dismal. A 40-watt bulb (or even a 60-watt) is vastly insufficient! The bedside plug in the phone side of the room was so loose, my phone charger just fell out, regardless of which outlet I used. No facial tissues provided. Bottom line: Would I stay again? Absolutely! I’d just come prepared with a little book light and a box of tissues for my sneezy husband :-) AND, even though it’s a bit more expensive, I’d go for the interior room again, preferably preferably on the north side wing.

Reviewed By 163rexpIf you’re looking for a place to sleep in Coalinga, the Laura Lodge is in the middle of town with restaurants, Starbucks, post office, grocery, etc nearby. In walking distance. Not ten miles out of town on that noisy freeway, where the chain hotels are. Laura Lodge is adequate. Definitely not fancy, so if you want fancy, sleep somewhere else. Book online. Their website directs you to some kind of booking agency, but the proprietors are a bit hard to reach by phone, so save yourself some time and use the online service.

Need of Repair.
Reviewed By daniel126The place is in the center of COALINGA. There seems to be only 3 motels here in town. I paid 40 at the front desk on Sunday night and I was the only one there. Expedia was selling the room at 50 and said they there is 2 rooms left The place needs repair, there is a lot of electrical code violations. Electrical safety is a concern. There are holes in the walls, and other needed repairs. The lady that is in the office was very nice but I will not stay here next time. There was a big glass framed old poster hanging loose top of the bed that I had to remove and place on the floor. I was afraid it may fall on my head.

Infested with roaches and the manager is a crook.
Reviewed By Michael LInfested with roaches and the manager is a crook. I booked this hotel online at a certain price. When I arrived I was given a story about why that price wasn't correct. I was tired after driving all day, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and paid extra. Although they didn't just charge me for the difference, they charged me the entire fee again. After finally making into the room, as I was sitting on the bed, 3 different roaches came out and were crawling on the wall and the headboards. I decided not to stay. I have the keys back and was given another story about why I couldn't get a refund that night (boss was asleep or something). When I came back the next day, I found out I was lied to about who the "boss" is. Turns out it was the guy from the previous night all along. He then proceeded to call me a liar, and threatened to call the police. When I said that he should because I was the one being robbed, he threatened me physically. Bottom line: don't give this con man any money or stay at his disgusting roach infested motel

Seriously just don’t!!!!
Reviewed By Wendy SI don’t think I’ve ever felt the need to click terrible, but seriously it was dreadful. On arrival we thought the place was closed and out of business. But apparently not once the bell was finally answered. It took me over 15mins check in because they didn’t understand my English, they spent 5 mins of that talking between themselves - my travel buddy was convinced they where talking about us. Now the room. The shower was unusable it was that revolting, only hand towels given, no soap or anything. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable and the pillows flatter than pancakes. Nothing matched and the curtains where stained (you could tell from the back). The tiled floor was damaged and I got cut on my foot. The room was dirty. Free wifi was non existent. We left early. It’s not worth saving a few dollars for this dreadful place.
