Great room, fantastic location and lovely staff
Reviewed By LornaRNWe stayed for two nights as we were taking the Bernina Express. The hotel is a short walking distance from the train station with restaurants close by. The staff greeted us warmly and efficiently. Our room was new, exceptionally clean and had a fabulous Nespresso machine! The bed was very comfortable. Excellent elevator. The area is fantastic with lots of do. The highlight for us was the amazing included breakfast buffet. The ladies that prepare the buffet and assist you are excellent. We stayed in some 4 and 5 star hotels in Switzerland and this was by far, the best breakfast. They made delicious fresh plum/apple tarts! The receptionist suggested Otello for dinner which was one block away. It was delicious. I highly recommend ABC Swiss Quality Hotel in Chur.

At the Hotel Post you can not send letters or packages, but with dedicated staff, enthusiastic customers and attractive offers, the heart of the hotel is the same as "simply cozy". The theme of "Swiss Post" goes through the hotel: The reception is like a post switch. A posthorn serves as a number plate for each room, the tenue of the employees is post-yellow. There is a picture of a Swiss stamp in each of the 39 comfort and superior rooms. 39 Comfort- and Superiorrooms have private bath/shower, WC, hairdryer, cabel-TV with radio, Safe, WiFi. Superiorrooms have also a coffee machine and fridge. 6 Budgetrooms with WiFi and cabel-TV with radio. Showers and toiletts on the floor. A varied breakfast buffet is served every morning at Central Hotel Post Chur from 6.30 am.. ARRIVAL: As guest of our hotel it's always allowed to enter in the pedestrian area. Put “pedestrian – modus” in your GPS. Enter from Poststrasse 11 to Bankstrasse. The entrance is on the other side of the building. Parking: Public parking 2 walking distance (free of charge from 7 pm to 8 am) or public garage (5 walking minutes away), cost for hotel guests CHF 12.00 (foreigners CHF 18.00). CYCLES: Closed storage with washing facilities. MOTORBYKES: Parking as for cars or in front of the hotel (depends the availibility. The Domat/Ems Golf Course is 8 km away. This property is also rated for the best value in Chur! Guests are getting more for their money when compared to other properties in this city. We speak your language! Central Hotel Post has been welcoming guests after a complete renovation since September 2016.
Excellent hotel but complicated access by car
Reviewed By Jeffrey CExcellent, large room spotlessly clean and with very central location. The breakfast was particularly good. Friendly, helpful staff. However, it was almost impossible to find with GPS which tried to send us into a pedestrian-only area (that was full of pedestrians and impossible to enter directly!). I had to telephone the hotel to get alternative directions. In the end, it was more by luck that we were able to weave our way through a maze of similar pedestrian areas but which allowed vehicular access. Far better to have parked first in a nearby carpark where we subsequently parked overnight (10 minutes walk away) and walk to the hotel!

Reviewed By collettee303Stayed for 3 nights with wide choice of breakfast every morning. Evening meal x2 well cooked meals with local food. All staff very friendly and helpful with most understanding or speaking English. Our bedroom had wet room but others have shower with shower tray, that can be slippy. Train station is 5/10 min walk. Old Chur well worth a visit especially the cathedral. If you are looking for reasonably priced takeaway drinks and food visit any coop. There is one at the station and also a larger one 2 min from hotel.

Reviewed By Κωνσταντίνος ΔIBIS CHUR HOTEL is a 3-star hotel in Chur (Switzerland, Kanton Graubünden) and situated about 1,5 Km from the Chur Train Station and it could be reached by public transport [(Bus Nr.1), you don’t have to pay extra ticket if you have the day-train ticket]. On the basement there is a large McDonald restaurant and an advertising sign on the top of the hotel . We took the family room on the top of the pyramidal structure of the hotel with nice view to the surroundings. The service of the hotel [e. g. welcome, friendliness and attentiveness of the personnel (of late afternoon and night shift)] was below expectations and we really were dissatisfied. The cleaning of the room was O.K. but we could not verified if the hygiene protocols have been seriously taken into consideration. In the bathroom there was nothing available (e. g. a glass to put toothpaste). We found the hotel prices quite high for the service offered (value for money not satisfactory). In general it was a neutral staying experience in Ibis Chur and maybe I will stay again next time if I will not have a more competitive offer in Chur.

Reviewed By David JCan't complain. Everything worked, breakfast was good and the bar was well attended. Perhaps the lighting in the room wasn't as good as I'd like and we were told that it was cash only but that didn't affect me.

Food in restaurant was pricey but I think that is switzerland in general however it was exceptional. Kristine the manager was very helpful and friendly a true asset to the hotel. Cosy Hotel located in the old town of Chur. Since there are no cars allowed in this part of town it is mostly a quiet area. The building is a historic house of one of the guilds in Chur and was built around 1483. The greater part of the rooms have shower/WC. All rooms have free Wifi and LCD-TV.
A cute night in the heart of Swiss alps

Breakfast was all right and the location was near perfect, the hotel is located in the very center of the old town so it makes it very cute. It takes less than 10 minutes by foot to get to the train station and you can have a nice walk to get to a nice point of view of the valley up the hill behind the church. That was a very pleasant experience, would come again. I loved that the hotel was so nice looking in a typical Swiss architecture way.

Reviewed By StarbarrSet in the centre of the old town on a noisy corner. Small rooms, shared bathroom however in need of refurbishment. Old does not give character. Dinner was very average and overall a disappointing experience - breakfast OK.

Reviewed By Oscar1954It is a roadside hotel adjacent to tennis and sports courts Located next to the highway. We had a private car so there was no problem with that. There is free adjacent parking. The rooms are very comfortable. We arrived in the evening and left in the morning so we did not really spend time in this hotel
