We are conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chapel Hill, at the doorstep of the beautiful campus of The University of North Carolina. Come experience world-class service, elegantly appointed guest accommodations, superb dining, outstanding meeting and banquet facilities, and an expert staff.
The Carolina Inn is beautiful and located conveniently right on campus. The UNC campus is huge though, so I still drove to my destination on campus! Highly recommend you stay here when visiting The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill!

Welcome to this rare retreat, set amid 30 acres of natural woodlands. Created for the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School's executive education, Rizzo Center combines sophisticated meeting facilities with a beautiful setting and memorable Southern hospitality.
We stayed here for a bridal shower because we wanted to use the pool. It was a treat. The place is spacious & lovely with lush grounds. It's easy to get turned around inside the hotel. There are plenty of conversation pits / areas in the public spaces. Everything is a cool elegant Carolina blue {of course). There is not much nearby (easy walking distance) but enough including a Harris Teeter grocery store, an ABC store & some small restaurants. The place was empty when we arrived. The bartender at the hotel bar confirmed this and we hardly saw or heard other guests so I can’t quite figure out why they could not accommodate my request for adjoining rooms. Service was slow at best. We got some wine at the bar. We were initially the only customers & the bartender was a delight. When our friends arrived, we took our drinks & went to reception to greet them. I set my empty glass down but it was still in the same spot 36 hours later. Similarly I left my pool towel on a chair Saturday morning because I did not see the bin for used towels. It was still there – although now soaking wet from the rain – Sunday morning. I stuffed it in the overflowing bin which was never emptied during our stay. I was also annoyed that I was repeatedly told there was a shuttle from the airport for a $20 fee. I had planned to use it but the day before I arrived I was informed that it was discontinued. The front desk staff viewed guests more as nuisances than customers. None of them smiled. It was subtle but off-putting. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I wish they had more juice choices then just orange, especially since the complimentary ice cream / hospitality ‘fridge was filled with grapefruit juice. We wanted to eat outside but when we tried to get back into the restaurant from the deck, the door was locked. Another guest let us in while the waitstaff stood around talking to each other. It is a business hotel & we were there over Memorial Day weekend; maybe that had something to do with it.

We were in town for a wedding. Front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Bartender was great too. I would highly recommend a stay at the graduate in chapel hill. Room was very clean. And quiet. Loved the steeped coffee in the room.

Construction and major changes to rooms. Major construction going on in hotel… had to leave hotel to have an online meeting because the noise was so loud I couldn’t hear my laptop. Rooms also no longer look like the pics… or at least mine. Carpeting is gone… nice linens are gone and wall paper/paint in room is in need of replacement.

The Hyatt Place Chapel Hill/Southern Village is an upscale hotel with the best location in Chapel Hill. Home to University of North Carolina, Dean Smith center, Kenan Memorial Stadium and UNC Health Care. The hotel features five floors, 110 guest rooms, and 1,700 square feet of meeting space. Plus guests can enjoy an outdoor pool, 24 hour fitness room, and a 24-hour Coffee to Cocktails bar.
I booked online and checked multiple sites and pool looked to be up and running. When on the Hyatt app I saw it was not listed on the amenities. Chatted with guest services only to find out they are waiting on inspection and have no ETA to the pool opening. Call before booking...there fitness center is down as well.

The Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill/Durham hotel, in North Carolina, is located on the west side of Interstate 40 and Highway 54, only eleven miles from the Raleigh/Durham International Airport. The Hampton Inn Chapel Hill/Durham hotel is conveniently located near Friday Center, the University of North Carolina, Duke University, the University of North Carolina Hospital and Duke Hospital. Guests of the Hampton Inn & Suites Chapel Hill/Durham, North Carolina have access to everything the Triangle has to offer in the way of educational, medical, business or leisure needs.
We needed a last minute hotel after our reservation at the Hyatt Place in Durham was not honored due to a Friends/Family pass that was not honored. Found Hampton Inn with a good rate on Booking. My son had a scholarship interview at UNC-Chapel Hill early the next morning and was getting anxious after a long flight with no place to stay. Those the best rate was for a king bed, our room ended up being a king suite with a door separating the sofa bed from the king bedroom. He was very happy with the accommodations and so was I. He got to have his own room and so did I.

Had a quick one night stay-very convenient location, near Meadowmont. Also convenient for anyone working or visiting UNC/hospital. There's on site parking ($10/night), though fee may be waived depending on Bonvoy status. The hotel is also along the free bus line that connects Chapel Hill and runs through campus. There are about 10-15 parking spaces outside and then a parking deck accessed by a security code. There are several restaurants, grocery store, and gas station all within walking distance. What I really love about this hotel are the trails. There's a pedestrian and bike path along the backside of the hotel that connects you to Meadowmont, a mile walk away, with other restaurants. There's also a pedestrian tunnel so that you don't have to cross the busy road. There's also a quiet and wooded food trail (not paved) around the Finley golf course, in front of the hotel. There are dog stations around the hotel and the paths. This is a dog friendly hotel, though I don't know about size or breed restrictions, if any. Complimentary coffee on the lobby in the morning. Fun, trendy atmosphere. Great place for out of town visits or a "staycation" for locals. Tip: even # rooms face inside, odd #s face out to the street (louder), though scenic on higher floors with the trees

I am in my room working at 5 PM when an unknown guest just unlocks the room door and comes in dragging his roller bag. The hotel had given away my room, even though I had checked in hours earlier. Here was the worst of it - the hotel manager called me to the front desk and proceeded to interrogate me like I was some squatter coming in off the street who somehow managed to access the room. Embarrassing. This was clearly a screwup on the hotel's part but you wouldn't guess that from my conversation with the manager.

It is a shame to use the “covid excuse” to clean your room only after 3 nights. I had a such bad experience each time arriving in the room at the end of the day and not seeing it cleaned. I have stayed in other Marriot across the globe. Never come boc
