Nice and clean, economical.

Reviewed By dkarmenta

The room was remodeled. The mattress was not as comfortable as I would have liked. A great amount of pillows. They could use a new brand of coffee for the in room coffee maker. Very weak, and I used less water. Very good, free breakfast options. Waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs, very good pre-packaged pastries, fresh fruit, coffee and hot chocolate. I do not recommend the Mexican restaurant next door. I got 800 miles on my Alaska Airlines card for one night!

Nice room with great service

I got caught on that I-50 mess so I was very late. Yet at 12:30 am the night manager took the time to show me around and gave me a very nice welcome. The room was nice, clean, quiet and comfortable. And here is the best part, all this at a reasonable price.

Beautiful boutique hotel

Nice room, views, balcony, lobby and restaurant! A bit pricey. Still no room refresh during our stay due to “covid”… which is kind of silly I think. The bed was comfortable. The room seemed clean. Loved the Nespresso in the room!

A nice motel in a good location

Reviewed By Christopher D

We were greeted by a clean, fresh smell when first opening the door to our room. That's always a good start. The room was clean, nicely appointed and the beds were comfortable. The large screen TV was state of the art. Brown's Canyon is locally owned and very convenient to F Street which is the heart of downtown Salida. The only downside was no in room coffee service. But the serving bar was around the corner from our room and offered real coffee cups. There was a barking dog in a room that yapped at 6:30 am, but was quickly silenced. The rooms are subject to a lot of "running water" noise as it's an older facility when soundproofing was an after thought. We would stay here again.

"Budget" some smile?

Reviewed By April T

It's a budget motel so I didn't expect much. Just a clean place to rest my tired body. And the Super 8 at Buena Vista was more or less on that target. But boy, the staff act like they didn't want to be there! Or wish I didn't stay there!? I understand every business is short staffed. I didn't ask for anything out of the ordinary. Just check-in, get my key and be on my own. The staff looked so reluctant it made me feel like I woke them up in the middle of the night on their day off! Anyway, I got my key and disappeared till the next morning, when the hot food container was empty and no one was around except guests waiting for the food container to be refilled. I had to walk all over the building until I found someone who could then found the right person to replenish the breakfast items. Last, the walls were paper thin. I mean PAPER THIN. I didn't just hear people next door talking, I can hear people talking like 3 doors away (and they weren't shouting, just conversation level). Fortunately, there weren't too many guests there so the noise wasn't too much of an issue. Would I stay there again? Not my first choice. But if in a pinch, I'd probably stay again.
