The 10 best hotels in Boston, United States

August 5, 2022 Kandra Bartel

Walk the Freedom Trail the first time you visit Boston, and you'll quickly get a sense of this coastal city's revolutionary spirit and history. But make sure you also explore some of Boston's fine museums (try the Gardner, featuring art masterpieces displayed in their collector's mansion) and old neighborhoods (like the North End, Boston's Little Italy). You can't claim to have experienced real Boston culture, though, unless you've watched a Red Sox baseball game from the bleachers.

Disgusting rooms & bathrooms- avoid!

Reviewed By nickweinberg11

I stayed at the Boston Park Plaza this weekend and was disgusted by the quality of the rooms. Holes in the ceiling, paint peeling, wavy walls, grime around the toilet, and BEST of all- 10-15 dead flies stuck to the bathroom ceiling. I've reached out to hotel about my experience and have not heard back. I’d love to have a discussion with them, as no one should have to stay in such conditions, especially at a 4-start hotel.

Corporate Event

I cannot say enough about how amazing the Fairmont Copley Plaza is! We had a large group, 3 day, corporate event and every part of it went perfectly. The sleeping rooms were beautiful, the meeting spaces were stunning and so convenient, and the food was superb! Not to mention, everyday you are greeted by the sweetest dog, Cori, in the lobby! The staff at the hotel was by far the best I have worked with, I plan corporate events all over the country and can confidently say the Fairmont compares to none! Lauren Bowker was the event manager I worked with. She was ALWAYS so positive, took every single one of my calls (almost daily and even my calls after the event to wrap up final touches) checked in with me multiple times a day during our stay, handled every detail including the on the spot changes I requested and made things feel effortless even though I know she put a ton of work into our event. She was a pleasure to work with and I will be requesting her specifically for future events we host at the Fairmont. Other incredible staff members to mention - Sal Aguilar, Vinit Singh, and Emily Lopez. They made all of the set up and transition seamless for our group. The front desk staff, bell service, concierge, basically any staff member I worked with were all so friendly, professional, and a joy to work with. Its been 3 weeks since our event and I am still hearing rave reviews. We will most definitely be back!!

Small but Mighty!!!

Reviewed By NicoleB3217

My wife and I stayed in one of the Queen rooms with a bath in room. The room itself was quite compact, but so smartly laid out, it didn't really matter. Everything was very clean and the fact that the bed is up on a platform, really improved the sleeping experience. No saggy mattress and we both slept great! For being so centrally located, the room was also very quiet. We stayed over a weekend and were only 1 flight up from the lobby. So we should have been able to hear street noise from outside or sounds from the bar in the lobby . . . but we didn't! Excellent sound proofing and blackout shades in the room provides a great, restful sleep! The location can't be beat! An easy walk from Back Bay station and to a bunch of Cafes and Restaurants in the Back Bay made this a super easy and convenient spot. Next time I have to travel to Boston, this hotel is going to be the first one I check for reservations!
