No shower for you!

Reviewed By yosemitesam256

The rooms were nice and the people were friendly. However this place has a problem with hard water that it isn’t managing well. I first noticed it in the form of a white blob of crud all over the end of the faucet at the wet bar. It really got in my hair the next morning, though, when I discovered that the diverted that sends water to the shower head (rather than the tub faucet) was frozen. Too much white crud. I couldn’t get it working, and didn’t have time that morning to deal with waiting for maintenance, etc. So, no shower. I’ve never been let down in a hotel in quite that way before. Of course I told the front desk about it when I checked out. I asked them to alert Maintenance, and let the Manager know that this was pretty darned disappointing. I’ve heard from nobody at the hotel. If you do stay here, a quick test of all the plumbing fixtures right after you check in would be a smart move. Then you could probably get another room if yours is broken.

After a grueling long day driving from Utah and with only 4 hours until home, we had to stop. The first 2 hotels were booked full(on a Wednesday) this one was next in line. Check in was quick but my room key didn't work. The gal gave me another one. That one didn't work either. So she came up to open the door for me. Room 207 was NOT my room! I had been trying to get into the wrong room. Pretty sure that's how people get shot. Anyways, she was very polite about it. Into the room we go. Only 1 bath towel and no washcloths. Back down I go. Got the towels. Room was clean and everything worked and the front desk lady was very nice and understanding. I would stay here again. If you're in the front you will hear the freeway.

Close to I-10

The facility is across the service road from I-70. Noise from the highway and the on-ramp can be heard, especially from the north end rooms. The room was clean and spacious. The downside was that the bathtub dripped all night and could be heard. Breakfast was the typical Comfort Inn fare with a waffle maker. Coffee was out, but ultimately made.

Bad location, mispresented on the website - Stay elsewhere

Reviewed By davidfK4466QD

We checked in by an out of touch attendant, and proceeded to our room. It was terrible, not anything like the website pictures. We said to ourselves, "we are not staying here", and got in our car and found another hotel. I doubt breakfast was served since the lobby was a shambles.

Very dirty rooms

Reviewed By B2193XSchelseag

We stayed here on our way to the Baja and were I pleasantly surprised about how dirty these rooms were. We found long dark hairs on the bed sheets, the bathroom was filthy and the heater was so loud we couldn’t even use it. I contacted the front desk and she offered to switch us into the room next door- which was just as filthy and clearly a smoking room so we stayed in the original. I asked for fresh sheets so I could change the bed and was given a fitted sheet only and it didn’t even fit the bed. We covered our pillows with the sheet and and ended up sleeping in our sleeping bags on top of the sheets. I asked the front desk if she could do anything for us upon check out and the answer was no. DO NOT STAY HERE.

An oasis in the Sonoran Desert

Reviewed By w0rldtraveler08

I stayed at the relatively new Holiday Inn and Suites last night. It was so attractive, clean and quiet that I had keep reminding myself where I was. Blythe! The staff was pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was about as good as it could possibly be. My room was clean and comfortable. The public spaces were remarkably beautiful. This morning at 6:00 AM I went to the lobby for coffee, the sun was lighting up the place through floor to ceiling windows which gave a nice warm feeling. If I had to find a complaint it would be the shower curtain. I hate shower curtains and I feel no modern hotel should have them. Frameless glass doors is the only way to go as far as I’m concerned. That’s a minor complaint that I am happy to overlook. I will be staying there again anytime I’m traveling from LA to Southern Arizona on highway 10 and need a refreshing oasis in which to throughly chill out.

Just the basics day but manageable for a night I forgot to

Reviewed By Ann C

This was our fourth night on our journey cross country to California. Book this place on Priceline because of price. The beds were pretty comfortable with three pillows apiece like most places. My daughter Just the basics day but manageable for a night I forgot tothought the bed was still too hard :-) basic amenities in the room little soap couple of shampoos not the best quality In my opinion. The water pressure was pretty good and the shower was hot. When we got in about 4:30 PM they still had some hot coffee in the lobby it was probably from the morning so it was OK-ish. Small town across the border from Arizona didn’t really check out the area much stopped at the Jack-in-the-Box and had dinner. Couldn’t really tell you what was in the area. Gas prices were crazy expensive there so we drove the 7 miles back across to get the gas for $.75 cheaper a gallon. Rooms were clean pretty basic no issues did have a small size refrigerator and microwave in the room which is nice. Breakfast starts at 5:30 AM to 930Coffee was pretty weak. The hot items that they had were bacon scrambled eggs and potatoes. The cold items were yogurt boiled eggs and cream cheese for the bagels they had apples. Not sure if they even had juice maybe Apple. All in all I would probably give it closer to a 3 1/2 but I did put four because of the cleanliness. They did have a pool and a hot tub. But it was really cold 40° and we did not use it in a small fitness center.

Good enough

Super nice people. They offered breakfast/coffee at check out, but we had already eaten. Room was VERY outdated, looked like they bought all furniture at a yard sale from the 60s…but the room was clean. Good enough for an overnight, felt safe there
