No air conditioning :(

The amenities seemed great (although we unfortunately arrived too late to enjoy the place to its full potential since we stayed only 1 night). Breakfast was good. Bedroom was quite nice. · There was no air conditioning! Since it was super hot when we were there, even during the night, we had a hard time finding some relief from the heat during the night. So, although everything else was perfect, I cannot recommend this hotel during the summer. It has been explained to us that they are in the process of renovating and adding air conditioning to the room, and our understanding was that they reserve the already renovated rooms for longer stays, which make sense.

Lovely hotel with the best restaurant in town
Reviewed By dmartynWe stayed five nights in sea view rooms with the waves lulling us to sleep. The proprietor very kindly collected us from the station. Lovely breakfast on the terrace. Sadly we only had one dinner in the superb restaurant before it closed for the season

Rooms are very clean. Comfy beds. Efficient air-con. Great restaurant. For us it is perfect. Thank you Serenada for another great holiday!

Reviewed By Gert78A very basic room: no airco, no wifi, no fridge. Shower is larger than average. Breakfast is decent. Buffet dinner is cheap (€10) and okay. Keep in mind that dinner hours are limited (19-20.30). Wifi is available in the restaurant, but only free with limited connection. Bar prices are low, especially the cocktails. We can't be sure how much of a structural problem this is, but we were forced to eat inside every time because of an abundant presence of wasps.

When you book a room at Casa Orfea, you are more than a guest, you just feel like home... Casa Orfea is a simple 10-room hotel near the sea, in the center of Algajola. Some parts of the 1960s building have been renovated and recently fitted with air-conditioning, new quality bedding and flat-screen tv. The owners wanted to keep the vintage style and provided each room with a nice old-fashioned decoration composed of rattan furniture and retro illustrations matching with the terrazzo floor...
Wonderful hotel with terrific customer service
Reviewed By targhee42This hotel has new ownership, who are delightful and have wonderful customer service. They were as nice, and accommodating as they could be to our bicycle touring group. Learning that Americans like more than one cup of coffee in the morning, and that protein is essential for a long day of cycling, they brought us pots of coffee and cooked many eggs for us. For which we are very appreciative! The usual French breakfast of bread and jam would sustain one for about 12 minutes of cycling, so the eggs really helped. Algajola is a small town, so everything is close. The Spar market, just 100 meters away, has a good selection of groceries, beer and wine. I wish the owners of the hotel the best success in their business!

La vue, la vue, et la vue!
Reviewed By travelimanWe chose this B&B for the view and would do so again. The view (and the sound) of the ocean is really splendid. We left the balcony door open ar night to enjoy the relaxing sound of the waves. Other than that the rioms are neat and clean with a decent sized bathroom. Considering this is only a 2* it certainly ranks in the upper league and the prices seem justyfied for what is offered here.

Good location for amenities, breakfast with sea view, parking on site, easy walk to the 2 beaches. Modern spotless air coditioned rooms. Corsican style garden with tables, chairs and loungers. Always a friendly helpful welcome from the management. Davia the dog and the tortoises are a bonus.

Appartement très fonctionnel avec une vue sur la mer à couper le souffle !...Une eau turquoise qui vous appelle !...Avec en plus la gentillesse de la famille nous accueillant, nous y retournerons, c'est certain.
