Having the privilege to build our place in such a priceless space loaded with rich histories, the captain and captain's lady put together this cozy common area for you to share your stories and create new memories with us. Directions: 15 meters from the entrance of Tainan Railway Station, walk into the alley next to the taxi queue (you should be able to see our sign), just press the door bell beside the orange door, we are right upstairs.

Reviewed By JonderP83So happy with my stay at Old Man Captain. I was here for two weeks and I miss everyone so much. Teddy the owner is such a nice person and all of the rest ot the staff were always happy and willing to help. The hostel itself has lots of charm although the bathrooms need a bit of love and attention. The breakfast is basic and the dorms are pretty standard. The main reason to stay here is because it feels like a family! Located right next to Tainan train station (not the HSR one but the TRA).

Expensive for what you get
Reviewed By KGB777This place might be acceptable at half the price, but at circa $2400 TWD per night it is way over priced. Located right on the main highway there is traffic noise all the time. Facilities are very basic, and it's a 10 minute walk to the beach. Wifi doesn't work so well and the mattress was quite uncomfortable. Unfortunately it's not easy to find a place in Kenting vicinity which is reasonably priced: hard to suggest a reasonable alternative.

Awesome surf lesson
Reviewed By nicola_nn_323We didn't stay here but had an awesome surf lesson with these guys. Our coach Marky was super friendly and spoke great English. He gave really good tips to improve our surfing. One of the surf best lessons I've ever had! The whole surf school was very professional and the lesson included a pick up and drop off from our hotel. We liked it so much we are going back again tomorrow.

Nice stay with quiet rooms and helpful staff
Reviewed By Jonas MWe stayed at Lan Hai Hostel for four nights. The rooms are quite big with many amenities. The staff, especially Wally, is very helpful and can recommend some interesting spots for hiking or sunbathing. There is also a seafood restaurant nearby which is owned by the hotel host as well. Very tasty!

Огромная ванна с голубой водой, удобная кровать ,диванчик , белоснежное белье и полотенца, прекрасный вид на океан , замечательные завтраки на балкончике Под шум океана ,которые приносят прямо в номер , wifi , крутые банные принадлежности L’Occitane и милые , заботливые ,очень гостеприимные хозяева отеля-все это отражалось на нашем прекрасном настроении!управляют отелем семейно , в этом залог успеха и их процветания ! Даже предложили трансфер До автобуса- что редкость !Рекомендуем всем!спасибо отелю, мы непременно вернёмся именно к вам!

Reviewed By Samantha YThe design of The Light is awesome. Without too much decoration, The Light provides a relaxing atmosphere. The Light doesn't provide disposal amenities, and that is a good way to prevent people makes too much waste of them. You can see the ocean when you lie on the bed. The Light is located far from downtown, so it’s more convenient to have a motorbike or a car to get here.

Convenient Location
Reviewed By mai19258dThe hotel location is very convenient as it's just a short walk to the beach infront and to the night market at the back. The pictures are how they actually look like in person and was clean. The balcony is connected to the next room with just some steel barrier which was inconvenient for us because the neighbor smoked in their balcony. The bathroom is also open at the top which wasn’t a real problem during our stay, but we had to be careful not to slip because the shower area is not fully covered so the sink floor area gets wet.

Very convenient and clean
Reviewed By W_J0shClean and with all the necessities. Great location along Kenting’s main street, which the night market operates on. The hotel can help you rent an electric scooter. It’s a costs more than some local shops but saves you the hassle of finding a shop yourself. The Kenting Express stop is also very close, about 10min away walking.
