Reviewed By jonnamagnoHave you ever watched a prank video that backfired? Because it just happened to me, in the best way possible. My stay in Sinag Hostel was supposed to be temporary. 4 nights, a place where I can hide while I'm prepping a surprise for a friend's birthday. But this hostel won't settle for being temporary. The owner, managers, and even fellow guests will give you one hell of a good time that you'll have no choice but go back. So I gladly went back and my 4 night stay turned into 2 weeks. Then Covid19 happened, that's where my surprise birthday trip backfired. Almost all of the businesses were closing, but in true Sinag fashion, they kept the hostel open to help stuck tourists like me on the island. All that they're supposed to do is give us a place to stay, but they gave me a new standard of "going above and beyond". Grocery runs for each guest, kept everyone entertained by coming up with games, checked that all guests are in before curfew hits, and even went as far as making sure that everyone's eating healthy without spending too much. I haven't even scratched the surface of everything that they've done for us during the lockdown. A pandemic was happening, but Suzie, Isa, Rain, and everyone that I met in Sinag made me feel grateful that my plan backfired and got stuck with these amazing people who know how to "relak their body" and have fun amidst this chaos. So just a fair warning to everyone, once we're back to the new normal, think twice before booking Sinag Hostel. Essentially, they will give you the best island experience that y'all will dig to stay longer and maybe, beat my 75 days (and counting) stay.

Reviewed By FredytravelsBeing the cheapest hostel in Siargao, I wasn’t expecting much but this was the best place ever to stay at. Comfy beds, AC dorm with curtains/lockers, clean showers/toilets, everything. Mostly, the staff is AMAZING. The twins are so funny and can take you on adventures surfing and to their coconut farm. Maymay and Koko, they are the best.

It is 2 minutes drive to Cloud 9, (one of the biggest surfing spots in the island)! 5 minutes drive to the main area of General Luna where the shops, restaurants, market and port for island hopping are located. We have motorcycles for rent, we offer air-conditioned van transportation to and from the airport for your convenience.

Amazing staff, service, and food!
Reviewed By 274addiesLoved staying here. Food and coffee were very good. Staff were all so efficient, pleasant, and great to talk to. We were supposed to stay in the Tadhana Villa, but it wasn't fully repaired, so we stayed in regular rooms instead. Bravo manager gave us free airport transfer to compensate. Really glad we stayed at Bravo! Will be back for sure.

The hostel is located in General Luna, 5 minutes walk from the beach and several bars / restaurants. A short motorbike ride and you will reach Cloud 9.

Arrived late in the afternoon and was greeted by the Owner Coy who’s so friendly and comfortable to talk to. He explained all the simple rules of the hostel like “Clean as you go” and no outsiders allowed except for the check in guests which is so ok. They will give you basic things as expected bed, a pillow and a blanket. A separate shower and toilet room and a kitchen where you can cook if you want. What will you gonna love about this place is the vibe and amazing people that you will gonna meet during your stay. Paolo the manager/tour guide/ everything else lol is super friendly and accommodating. It feels like you found a long time friend in him. There’s an activity everyday for everyone, he makes sure that you will be leaving the place with a smile in your face and tears in your eyes because you found a new home. Paglaom Hostel will make sure that you became friends with everyone, friends that you will cherish along the way of your travel journey. #Paglaomisourhome #Paglaomers will surely be coming back here over and over

It has such a perfect vibe, great jazz or house music (never commercial music), awesome events, amazing food and cocktails (I'm not a vegetarian but their food is absolutely delicious), and their staff are super friendly! I also stayed in their dorm for 2 nights and it was super clean and the beds are very comfortable, I slept like a baby! Super worth it given that the view is amazing, you can chill there the entire day and never leave! It's a gem in the island!

Owner is Really Quite Terrible
Reviewed By DecoWorldTravelerTotally agree with another review of this place. The western owner is terrible. This guy has no respect for the locals or his guests. He yells for no reason and if you ask for help he will be extremely rude. This western is very aggressive and I would not recommend this place to anybody unless you want to put yourself in a dangerous situation with a mentally unhealthy person. We don’t understand how a bad person like this can be let stay in this island. I hope other travelers complain to local authorities and post their reviews if they have any issues

Best resort ive ever experienced
Reviewed By FoodGMateOne of the best hostel resorts ive ever visited in my life. Very clean, confortable, best part was the sound of the waves crashing. The staff and team were spectacular. felt like home, and very happy to meet and enjoy the island with another travelers, each day there were different activities and event to join so it kept the good vibes going. the location was bit tricky but by renting your own bike its easy peasy. Made my stay in the island feel like paradise. Will definetly come back
