The 10 best Hostels hotel in Balearic Islands, Spain

April 26, 2023 Concepcion Newsome

The brightest stars of Los Baleares are Majorca, Ibiza and peaceful Minorca. Situated between France and Africa, the archipelago's islands each have distinct characters. Majorca is the most developed and offers a mass of hotels, fast food joints and crowded beaches. Ibiza is loved by a hard partying set, including many gay visitors. It is also increasingly popular with upscale travelers, drawn by the chameleon island's reputation as "the new Provence." Pick an island and stake a claim on its sand.

Three days of boutique bliss

Reviewed By Takemethere100

My teenagers and I decided to take a side trip to Formentera from Ibiza, after a friend recommended we visit this beautiful island. The hotel is located in a fantastic location just steps away from the beach and a stroll to the shops and restaurants. Highlights for us were: Complimentary spa area which is perfect with jacuzzi, steam and sauna. Really appreciated being able to take my daughter with me, as often the age minimum Is 16. This really enhanced the holiday and she loved this aspect. Breakfast can only be described as exquisite. The quality of the produce is of the highest level. Exceptional experience. Lunch in the same restaurant was again of high of quality and I thought very good value for a 5 star hotel on an expensive island. We had a lovely evening dining on the rooftop terrace, where our last minute decision to dine was managed effortlessly despite it being busy. Pool area is peaceful, tranquil and spotless. Water temperature is perfect. I never wanted to leave at the end of the day. Service levels are what what really sets the hotel apart as absolutely everyone is on-board, attentive, friendly and wanting to deliver great service. The General Manager was always visible and hands on and everything just came together seamlessly. Thank you everyone for a great stay ?

This is our 3rd visit to Brisa Marina, but our first in high season. The staff are amazing, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. The restaurant “Bellavista” which is below the accommodation is fantastic value for money, but more importantly serves delicious food from breakfast through to very late in the evening. A special mention goes to our cleaner who always left our room spotless and all done with a smile. We had quite a late flight and asked if we could store a bag whilst we continued with our holiday, after speaking with Antoinette it was arranged in a flash and we were given another room so we vacated room 107 and went across the landing to room 101. All in all my wife and I had a great 6 day break and we WILL return very soon hopefully.

Excellent value & location

Reviewed By howiet1971

I stayed at the Hostal rooms at No 14, not the apartments at No 10 and was very pleasantly surprised. I had a single room and it was very clean, well maintained, had excellent facilities / wifi / air-con etc and felt very safe. I had read the below reviews regarding a burglary which had disconcerted me, but I was reassured by what I considered to be as much as any hotel could do to protect their guests. You have 3 keys, 1 to gain entrance to the building, another to open your hallway on your floor, and the final one for your room. You are asked to lock the hallway door behind you, the front door self shuts, and I always locked my bedroom door when I was in it. There is also a safe in the room. As I was due to arrive after their reception closed, i had been sent a code and instructions on where the key ox was to gain access. Turns out I didn't need that in the end, but the instructions were clear. Staff were excellent and very friendly, and they have lockers to keep your suitcase if you have to check out early. As for the location, near perfect. 1 minute from the port, 1 minute from Zara (lol) and just 2 minutes from Vara de Rey and 3 minutes from Placa Del Parc. PERFECT. Will definitely stay here again.

Beautiful location, average accommodation

Reviewed By gyrithel

We came and stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and average. Breakfast was included, but mainly included bread and tapas related meats and cheese, which was somewhat a problem if you don’t tolerate gluten. The first day they had some gluten free bread, but the second they didn’t. Furthermore the restaurant at dinner was apparently only for half pension guest, which we found out going to dinner there.
