Nice Property - a Few Issues
Reviewed By 685lesatProperty is actually an attractive, clean facility. There was one front desk employee who was quite personable and we felt welcome every time we walked by the front desk since he made an effort to speak and say something friendly. The room was clean and serviced daily. The breakfast was adequate - nothing special. I was impressed that the small pool had ramp access for special needs patrons. I had an issue with the type of room and subsequent change in rates upon arrival from what I had originally reserved. The front desk/manager tried to make adjustments to the charges on my credit card - but it took several emails and several days to get that issue resolved. Also, they add a $7/day parking fee to your bill. I am not sure why - the property has no valet and is not in the midst of any special parking structure - that was a total ripoff. I found it interesting when we arrived first night, we were checking in at the front desk and asked where the ice machine was located, we were told by the lady at the front desk that they didn't have ice machines - we were told to turn on the ice maker in the room refrigerator and the ice would be coming in a couple of hours. While I was still at the front desk, two gentlemen came to the front desk and asked the same question - the same lady told those two guys to wait and she would take care of them. Hmmm.

I really don’t know where to start...
Reviewed By GarystigaI spent 11 days in this place. I had to contend with a room so depressing I thought this is where people go to end it. The walls were patched and not touched up with paint. I get into the room and there’s no toilet paper. Easily remedied, except it took close to 10 minutes for the assistant Mgr to get some. There were German cockroaches in the room. There was a notice taped to the door that they would be replacing the wooden towel racks with metal ones. They removed the old rack and it took almost a week the get the new one in and setup and the wall painted. The one saving grace were some of the housekeeping staff, especially Amy. I come back at 2:30 AM from a full workday and my key doesn’t work. I had to call and wait for the manager to come down and reset my keys. Another saving grace it’s very close to a Quicktrip!

Reviewed By ChuckN518The GUILD “invention” essentially gets a block of condo’s in tony locations. Rents them out like a luxury hotel but with little luxury. Charges more than Air BnB and has no experienced personnel to help you; we talked to inexperienced 7 different people in person and on the phone and online, with little or no hotel training. Nice people but hotel stupid. FRUSTRATING!!! Check in and parking took well over an hour. And Guild charged as much as ZA-ZA, our go to Dallas venue. Mediocre linens, furniture, and without service one expects north of $300/night (hidden charges added)! IT IS NO BARGAIN! Yes, the views and location were impressive. But if you’re used to four or five stars, buckle up for a FAKE AIR BNB, 3 stars minus at best, with your money going to MR. Guild Corporation, and not to gracious helpful hosts and hostesses like on AirBnB. Expect Guild to sell to a dot com and fail within a year.

Reviewed By Z437THmargaretsYou know what they say: 'Location, Location, they don't care about quality or service, Location.' Management for Gulfstream Condos has become just a little too greedy. With the utmost respect to the adherence of COVID procedures, Gulfstream is unashamedly riding on the profits made from reduced services. Specifically, as noted, you will receive no cleaning service or replacement of anything other than towels during your stay, but with the full charge of $115 flat rate. Second, and this feels a little shady, but you're charged the full amount upfront at booking. This isn't industry standard and makes it quite difficult if you become clear headed and decide to cancel. Third, since this building was apparently built around the time Jesus was a baby, there are obvious drawbacks like working elevators, decent water pressure, or carpet in the communal areas where you can play the game, 'guess the original color.' A silver lining will be if you will receive a condo from a thoughtful owner, i.e. people who keep up with the unit providing things like mattresses which aren't tacos and towels free of stains. And when you get frustrated with staff, weird smells, or things that don't work, just remember you're only there for the convenience of the beach.

Reviewed By farmmom_8We found this gem looking for a homebase when visiting our daughter at Baylor a few years ago. it’s perfect. 4 stays later and it never disappoints. The location is great- just on the edge of campus and easy to get to and from. Beds are really comfy with great linens, bathrooms are great, with HOT water. The kitchen is fully stocked, with a couple of days worth of coffee, everything needed to cook, gas ranges, and community BBQ’s. Management has always been prompt to reply and great to work with. We really enjoy our time staying here.

Eight Months Of Bliss!
Reviewed By markbF7468XSAfter reading some great reviews, I checked in to stay for a few weeks... that ended up being eight months! A GREAT place to live... my new home away from home... One of the first things you will notice is that this extended stay hotel is NOT clean... it is IMMACULATE! Outside of a hospital, I've never seen such a spotless building, both inside and out. The housekeeping is done in your room every two weeks, and it is EXCELLENT! There is also a dumpster behind the building where you can dump any extra trash you have to get rid of. All tenants will be given an electronic "key". This will open your door as well as entrance and exit doors around the facility. Your door and most doors in the building will automatically lock. The exception is the fire escape doors by the stairs, which are unlocked by law. The utilities WORK! The AC/Heating units work, nice hot water all the time, electricity never gets shut off, (unless there's a city-wide power outage). The building is relatively new, built in 2019. Oh, and take my word, you will be hard pressed to find ANY insects in this building!! They welcome pets, but be prepared to clean up after them... there are plenty of pet stations outside to do this. I am not a smoker, but one thing to keep in mind... this is a NON-SMOKING facility!! You can smoke outside (there are plenty of smoke stations), but it is prohibited inside the building. In fact, you can even be fined for doing so... FAIR WARNING! The management and staff do a wonderful job with customers during checking in or out, and they are great in dealing with any issues their tenants may have. Also note that someone at the front desk can be contacted 24 hours a day if there is an emergency or other issue! If you end up staying over six months or so, make sure you are paying on time as much as possible... you will be rewarded with great deals!!! Nice staff, beautiful hotel near loud Hwy
Reviewed By NekaP277I use my points to secure a room for a meeting. Didnt stay overnight since I live in the area. Checked in on Friday afternoon and was given an upgrade to a suite. The room was awesome but I did a quick video recording and the noise background was unbelievable. Felt like I was outside. 635 is adjacent to the back side of the hotel. If I use this hotel again I will request a room facing Rodeo Drive. Staff was really nice and pretty sure they would have accommodated a move to a different room but time was tight the when I returned on Saturday morning and I had to prepare for my video meeting.
