Not a great experience

On arrival told our room may not be ready. Given 2 swipe cards and not told how to use them for underground parking or lights. We would have had to park in the shopping centre had we not paid. Only a five minute walk we were told. Not told initially about the $30 per day parking charge. No room service. 4 tea bags and tiny milk.

Handy location, very run down

It was a good location for where I needed to be for work purposes. The rooms are very run down and tired, needs a new paint job and bathrooms need a facelift. The grout is filthy and very limited water pressure in the shower.

Great location, beach is just across the road and shops are within walking distance. The apartments are quite secluded from the road and it's very quiet. Room was neat, tidy, and clean. Would definitely stay here again.

Great steak and other all meals delicious. Owner/Manager very obliging and accomodating. Shows you don’t have to have a haughty front of house person as a requirement to be considered up market. Very knowledgeable owner. By far the best meal on the Southern Peninsula. Go here as often as I can. Be sure to check booking they do a lot of private stuff.

Lovely restaurant and setting, accommodation needs attention

Reviewed By BlairW700

We stayed one night here and were disappointed with the accommodation. Very basic and in need of some updating. We enjoyed lunch on the terrace - great wines, food and service. The price of the accommodation (at $300 a night) is pretty hefty for what you get. Would recommend the visit, but stay elsewhere if you're looking to treat yourself for a night away.

The Old Coolstore

Beautiful part of the world

Reviewed By Claire B

I recently came to Vic for work training with a group of ladies from all over Australia. We stayed together in the Old Coolstore and were very comfortable. There was plenty of lounge and kitchen space. We were able to cook all of our meals easily with a well stocked kitchen. The whole space was clean and the beds comfy. The shower temp was warm enough if you used hot only and no cold and the pressure was intermittent. The heat lamp was lovely though. The wifi wasn't very strong and unreliable which didn't bother me as my Telstra service was sufficient but some of the other ladies struggled. Overall, the whole experience was great, I would return and would recommend to others.

Shells Apartments

Great location in need of a upgrade though

Reviewed By Mark S

We recently stayed at Shells and had some concerns about the cleanliness due to other reviews. We were pleased to say that these reviews may have applied for a time yesterday but when we stayed the apartment was quite clean and comfortable. The apartments are in a fantastic location walking distance to everything including front and back beach. However the apartment is tired the place needs a lock of paint, new carpet and the main bathroom needs a revamp the bath / spa / shower is dangerously designed.
