Great peaceful retreat
Reviewed By MatthewRHelbertI stayed here four nights for a walking holiday. The surrounding countryside was fantastic. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and attentive. The home made food was just what I needed each evening. I will go back.

Perched on a mountain side above Lanjaron, surrounded by fruit and nut trees with spring water flowing through the property, it is both stunning and comfortable. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, a living area with a cozy fireplace and a pellet stove, and a very comfortable bedroom and bed. Open the bedroom window at night and you’ll fall asleep to the sound of water rushing by! Our hosts were super and our stay was incredibly relaxing. An added bonus, we drank copious amounts of fresh Lanjaron spring water everyday.

Nice quiet place to kick back and relax

Party of 4 adults [2 couples], we booked for 2 nights at the last minute after moving out of the awful accommodation we’d booked in Granada – it was a breath of fresh air! Maria met us on arrival and was very welcoming, gave us a choice of 2 apartments – both looked very nice, but we chose Veleta. Very light and spacious, comfortable beds, reasonably well equipped kitchen. Shower cubicle is a bit on the small side, but pressure is good, no bath, and only one toilet, but we were fine with that. Small unfurnished terrace is lovely and sunny, and handy for drying clothes. Dining furniture consisted of a small table and fold up chairs, so could be used inside or alfresco, as we wished - not spacious, but fine for our needs. Wifi was a bit patchy. We were able to park the car about 20 metres away on the street, and it was a very pleasant ten minute walk to the main shopping area. Very quaint and pretty town, would recommend for a short break from the cities, or if you just want to kick back and relax for a few nice quiet days.

The place in located in a wonderful, Bohemian village full of great bars and places to eat - but I felt they are riding on this fact and just don't care about that old fashioned thing called service! The whole building smelt of cigarettes 'covered' by strong disinfectant, the apartment was dark, ill equipped, electrical fittings were unsafe; I could go on! My advice, pick another place - and there are plenty of places to choose from, which we easily found when we decided to bail out after our first night -and found a perfect, delightful and relaxing place to stay AND cheaper!

Holiday cottages complex of traditional architecture, nice decoration and complete equipment, situated in an exceptional place, with beautiful views, in the heart of the Alpujarras region, in Granada - Andalusia. It's ideal to enjoy the nature in the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and to know its charming villages. The complex has a swimming pool, playground, barbecue area, self-service laundry and car park outside. It offers rural accommodations with 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms, fire place, fully equipped kitchen, one or two complete bathrooms - depending on the kind of apartment, bed linen, towels, living room with TV an DVD, Wi-Fi, central heating, iron, and outdoor furniture. Some cottages include Jacuzzi or a hydromassage shower and a private barbecue.
Tranquil beautiful getaway
Reviewed By Sue HLoved this self catering apartment at the top of one of the white villages of the Alpujarra in Andalucia. The views were stunning and the owners were very friendly and helpful. The house was well set up for self catering and four of us had three wonderful days hiking, daydreaming and relaxing in this peaceful spot. There's a pool for hot summer days and barbecue facilities and the village of Valor has a couple of bars and restaurants - Aben Humeya deserves special mention.

Situated in the heart of nature, and only 100 m from the village square, with 2,000 square metres of garden to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the countryside, and, at the same time, not having to do without the services in Pitres (doctor's surgery, chemist's, supermarkets, bars, restaurants, ...).

Reviewed By 11faziamWe were there in November and had a magnificent appartement with great view and sun on the terrace from morning to evening. The appartement was well equiped although kitchen gear are basic. The owners are very friendly and everything is perfectly clean and the heating is perfect. You can do a lott of walks starting from the appartement. We walked in the surroundings and we walk to bubion, pampaneira en campineira (these 3 are very near to each other and are done in the same walk). The bathroom is OK but the shower is a little bit small. The curtain is too close to you and always touches you during showering. if you do not close the curtain enough all the bathroom is wet. Do not expect on open restaurant for the eveningin this time of the year during the week. Everything is only open during the day, even in the very touristique villages. In the evening you have to cook for yourself.
