Great location, disappointing service
Reviewed By ms612288The location is great and beautiful, rooms were good, beds excellent. However, we were disappointed by the fact that we were asked to clean the kitchen and bring out our waste at the end of our stay. We thought that doesn't correspond to the price. We also felt very uncomfortable at the breakfast, because we were surrounded by uncleaned tables with the remainders of other guests' breakfasts. During our breakfast time, we didn't see anyone clearing up the tables, everything was just left as it was. Also, there were no more spoons, and there was no service personnel we could have asked.

Cancelled without warning and left me outside on the pavement
Reviewed By sarastocksDespite having followed the booking.com process fully, and trying to contact the hotel in the hours before arrival I arrived to find that the rooms I had booked weren't available. The receptionist would not let me into the reception. She told me that "I wasn't the only one". I had to find another hotel quickly (and expensively) in the area as dark fell.

The receptionist was very helpful but unable to refund our money despite us being there only for 10 minutes before we moved out, apparently this is a common complaint. This is a budget hotel that is not charging budget prices.

Clean modern and helpful staff
Reviewed By Adixon02I messed up I only booked a twin room and there were three of us two adults and a teenager. Quick chat with reception and they found us a single for the teenager. Well priced clean modern rooms functional not fancy great for a quick stop over on a long journey which is how we used it. Take away Pizza, supermarket and a restaurant all within 5 minutes walk.Quiet residential location easy free parking.

Worth a look just for the scenery
Reviewed By Kay MWe were on a half day tour out of Dijon, and this was one of the stops. Wow. It was gorgeous along the river. We walked theough the charming city center and stopped for a pastry. There are a few shops but the history, architecture and panorama are well worth a side trip to this town near Dijon.

Reviewed By 28douglasoMy wife and I stayed just one night at this amazing apartment and when we return to Baune we will most certainly stay here, just longer :) From booking, to communicating how to enter, to arriving and to checking out, the experience was fantastic. Our apartment was clean, well laid out, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

Reviewed By 327SimonBWe (two adults with daughters of 19 and 16 yrs old) experienced a hospitable reception in this spotless and spacious Chambre d’hote that’s situated in the quietness of the Bourgogne country side. The property - dating back to 1750! - is recently fully restored. The pool is as good as new and very pleasant. The food served at the Table d’hote was super tasty and the company of Caroline and Bruno very pleasant. Hope to be able to come back some day!

Les chambres sont joliment décorées mais minuscules (on se croit dans la "Blanche-Neige et les 7 nains"! Pas de gel douche /champoign dans la salle de bain. C'est scandaleux, vu le prix de chambre! Le petit déjeuner est à 15€ /personne en+! Attention: lors de notre passage ils ne prenaient que du liquide et refusaient les chèques ce qui est contraire à la loi

MISLEADING PHOTOS, WORSE THAN AN AIRBNB AND DOUBLE THE PRICE
Reviewed By Brendan SIncredibly disappointed and not worth the money . We stayed two nights and this was worse than an Airbnb but more expensive. First the positive, the rooms are nice. The internet works. The cons. The restaurant and bar were closed and incredibly dirty both days. YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO sit at fire place or bar othe tables. No one cleaned our room or brought towels either day. No one even talked to us except when we arrived. Even then, not great. We got here and two women were smoking out front - we didn’t know they worked there because they didn’t say anything or get up while we like walked around a bit aimlessly and the. two men smoking on the patio let me know it was closed. Certainly not a warm welcome with two young kids. Feel bad for anyone staying in rooms above patio (although didn’t seem like anyone was staying here). They knew we were coming because We had emailed in advance that we would be a bit early. The cleaning lady was nice and got started once we got there. We chose this place for the ease of a bar downstairs and eating. We tried several times to find someone to help us and couldn’t both days. Embarrassing. The town is not worth staying in. Only one restaurant is open in town and opens at 7pm - not good for kids. Town is beautiful but it’s a tourist trap. Nothing to do except walk or go to the Anis Tour which takes 15 minutes if you go slow. Stay in semur en auxios or Pouilly-en-Auxois - if you have to stay in this region, otherwise drive past to Dijon beaun Provence etc after a quick walk Around. Would love our money back. Terrible service. Very very quiet region. If you want a convenience store there is a semi-sad grocery store 15 minutes away. Really no where to eat until 7 and even then very limited. The city needs to look into getting some day and breakfast spots open and a convenience store or tabac- or not allow hotels up there. Like no pride from owners or staff at this hotel. Quite sad.
