It’s a lovely place to stay when visiting Cuenca if you prefer to be surrounded by trees than streets. Lovely service and food. We had breakfast and dinner there. Three people in our party were celiac and that wasn’t a problem at all. We all fully enjoyed our meals. The only comment would be a slight need for further soundproofing in the rooms and a more detailed cleaning of the rooms. However, the overall stay was great and would love to return soon!

Little charming hotel located in a XVII Century building in the heart of the old quarter of Cuenca, a declared World Heritage City.
This hotel is just lovely. Situated in a historical building a few steps away from the cathedral, it is located on the edge of the gorge overlooking the Huecar river and I think that just about every room must have a spectacular view. Our room was really spacious with a big double bed and a sofa bed, two big armchairs with a good sized wardrobe and the most amazing view across the gorge. There was a large bathroom with a tub and separate shower, all of it spotlessly clean. Friendly welcome at check-in and a small but good selection for breakfast including local pastries - the breakfast is served in the dining room with views across the gorge. There are lots of steps up and down inside the hotel so it might not suit somebody with reduced mobility. The Posada de San Jose is full of art and interesting artefacts, it's a really beautiful place offering rustic charm and reliable Spanish hospitality.

This is a perfect hotel for exploring Cuenca. Our room was very clean with beautiful views. Beds were super comfortable. The bathroom was very modern with a wonderful shower. Not a big deal but they could use some conditioner to go with the shampoo. The breakfast was continental but just what we wanted. We would definitely stay here again. Very charming hotel.

Its location has panoramic views over the mouth of Júcar, most impressive of the entire city. It is next to the main monuments and attractions, the Cathedral, Hanging Houses, Puente de San Pablo, Art Galleries, Museums.
Fantastic little hotel that’s perfectly located to explore Cuenca. Located right next to the old gates of the city, with the city square only a 3 minute walk the hotel has breathtaking views. You check in by going into the shop next to it, very easy check in, exceptionally friendly Staff, really nice. The room offered simply amazing views, you’ll need to go far to beat them! Clean and well equipped, we liked the coziness of the room. We’d gone back and use this hotel again, it really is special

A very friendly welcome awaits you. About 10 minutes off the A3 and a welcome break on drive through Spain. Rooms very clean and whilst basic they have all one requires. They do offer food but there is no menu. Choice of Meat or Fish. We had Montchego cheese with walnuts and raisens as an appetizer. All the food is simple but prepared by the heart. We will return

Found the hotel fairly easily using Sally sat nav. Parking on the street right in front of the hotel. Flora on reception was excellent though her English was not very good and nor was our Spanish she used Google translate on her computer to help she was extremely helpful telling us the best places to eat. She also told us which way to walk around the old town so as to avoid the tourists.
