Diane and Scott - thank you for a perfect B&B experience! Everything about my time there was proof of how much you sincerely care about your guests from the moment they walk in the door - and how happy their memories will be. Breakfasts were beautiful AND delicious, and was so nice meeting and chatting with fellow guests.

Hertzog Homestead Bed & Breakfast

Built in 1786, the Hertzog Homestead Bed and Breakfast has been in our family for nine generations! Winners of the prestigious National Bicentennial Farm and Home Award in 2006, the home is an excellent example of early Mennonite architecture and history. What makes us different than a normal Bed and Breakfast is our private Amish made breakfast. Enjoy your delicious breakfast in the comfort of your Suite, on your own time! When you arrive, your breakfast for the next morning will have been prepared that morning and place in your fridge. We would also like you to enjoy an assortment of fresh baked goods. Just minutes away from area attractions, museums, outlet shopping, antiquing, and theaters, the homestead offers the tranquility and peace often needed during a vacation.

Wonderful Choice for Weekend Escape

Reviewed By S8018PBrobins

We planned to spend a day in Philadelphia at the Simeone Museum, then a day at the Hot Rod Annual, in Abbotstown, then to a day in Gettysburg. The Hertzog Homestead near Ephrata was the perfect choice. It was really convenient to all places we visited. It’s definitely in the ‘country’ surrounded by beautiful farmland and rolling hills, but within a ten minute drive of stores and restaurants. The room was gorgeous and so well furnished. The breakfast was top notch with everything you could ever want. Upon arrival, breakfast for the next morning was ready to heat and serve whenever we were ready for it. No need to travel anywhere else. Each breakfast was unique, with a baked quiche,or egg dish, and a large selection of baked hoods available for our sweet tooth. There is no contact when checking in or out, a great idea for the current times. Sitting on the porch in the evening was a welcome respite from traffic and crowds. We will plan on a return trip because this first trip was truly a joy. Having stayed in many B&Bs over the years, Hertzog Homestead was unique and we so enjoyed the quiet and occasional clomping of an Amish buggy passing by.

Nice Ladies Weekend

Reviewed By 2timothy45

This was a wonderful place to stay for our ladies weekend. The place is pretty spotless, beds were comfortable, view was peaceful, and the cookies and brownies that were left for us were yummy. Jan and her husband were so nice and when we realized we had no cards they brought them right over. It truly was a blessing to stay here and we would defiantly come back again.

Lititz Springs Inn & Spa

Welcome to the Lititz Springs Inn and Spa. The Inn was built in 1764 and originally named The Zum Anker. Over time the Inn became the Lititz Springs Hotel, then in 1930 the name was changed to The General Sutter Inn to honor John Augustus Sutter, who lived his last seven years in Lititz. Little was known of his full history at the time, only that he was instrumental in the Gold Rush in California. Recently, it has come to light that John Sutter’s legacy did not reflect modern values. After being informed of this, the Inn’s new owner, David Stoudt, decided to rename the Inn to honor the heritage and history of Lititz. “Since 1764 we have stood for hospitality, kindness and inclusion. We have worked to foster a welcoming and inviting experience for all. And while we have a lot to learn, this is an important first step to a better and more just future.” – David Stoudt Come check us out and enjoy the shopping and attractions of beautiful Lititz, Pennsylvania.

Charming inn... Very good restaurant too!

Reviewed By wdonovan

Stayed one night with our 2 Boston terrors, Enzo and Mona Lisa. Had a lovely dog friendly room. Clean and nicely appointed - we did not want for anything. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with the entertainment system and they got it resolved lickety split. Wife did not want to leave the dogs and travel for dinner so she booked a reservation at the hotel restaurant. Glad she did. Food and service were excellent. I had the best tomato bisque I have ever tasted. We will be back if we ever need to stay in or near Lititz (accent on the first syllable, just so you know in advance).

Very rustic hotel. No microwave, no refrigerator, no coffee, no breakfast is provided and no elevator to the second floor. Owners do not live on site. Coffee is available in a foyer around 7 in the morning. There is a restaurant next door (DJ's) that serves excellent meals at reasonable prices.

Susquehanna Manor

Come away to our romantic oasis where time stands still. Our Lancaster bed and breakfast is just outside of Marietta, PA. It is a gorgeous Victorian mansion adorned with beautiful mature trees. Accommodating but fell short

Reviewed By 697mitchc

The home is lovely, our room was comfortable as was the bed itself. The inn keeper was very flexible to accommodate our late arrival and early departure. She told us that there would be pastry or cookies left for us but when we arrived there was nothing. The main reason for 3 of 5 is because we never saw or interacted with the inn keeper personally and breakfast was mediocre. The strawberry topped French toast was very good but the following course was not and that was accompanied by overcooked bacon. We love to stay at b&b's when we travel and have been fortunate to experience many. Perhaps we just caught this one on an off morning.

In town for a wedding

Perfect location. Very clean. Very nice owners and wonderful breakfast daily. We stayed in the MainHouse at the Executive suite. A little kitchenette right across the hall was well utilized by us for ice and plates and such. Jacuzzi tub was perfect. The king size bed was very firm…too firm for me and a foam topper would probably help for someone like me. ? Great location towards town. DoorDash delivered with no issue.

Charming and relaxing

Reviewed By JbrittinNJ

We had a lovely stay. The inn itself is charming, and there was some history in the guest book in our room. The hosts keep the place immaculate and are very accommodating. We stayed in the empire room and I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on our private balcony looking at the magnolia trees preparing to blossom. We had a comfortable bed with nice bedding. Eric was super friendly and sat with us all while we had our breakfast. He was able to tel us a bit of history of the area too. His wife and daughters were cordial and always smiling. We would have appreciated some room darkening shades or curtains, as the room was bright come sunrise. That would have perfected our stay. There’s some traffic noise, since the inn is right on the street, but that’s of no fault of the owners and hosts. It’s certainly not enough to keep us from coming back! Thank you for a lovely stay.
