LESS GOOD: Only has on street pay parking - which is a pain No lift - which is a pain No drinks glasses- which is a pain No ice machine - which is a pain No shower cap - which, with no bath, was a pain.

From the first phone call my husband made for the booking Valentin was excellent with customer service, on arrival the hotel was much better than the pictures we had seen, it is immaculate and smells beautiful as soon as you open the main door, bedrooms were truly amazing, all with their own unique style, we asked to be moved rooms as we were on the top floor and due to having asthma I was finding it difficult to walk up the stairs, straight away Valentin gave us a room on the first floor, this was as amazing as the duplex. Nothing was too much, Valentin was even there with advice on what to do, as well as directions for us to travel by train to Paris before leaving on Tuesday. I would highly recommend this hotel to stay in, it is one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Reviewed By Marina BIsabelle is the best host one can ask for. Her home is a work of art with special attention to details. I loved staying here and made feel ever so welcome. If you come here, you'll see it's a little haven. Beautiful garden to relax in and explore. She made me french toast and spread a table of her home made delights for breakfast. Everything was yummy the bread, cheeses, confitures, juice, home made yogurt etc. Outstanding value. At check out, I waited to be picked up in the garden and enjoyed the sound of birds, admired the beautiful flowers, trees and garden. I'm not ready to leave I just want to stay here a little bit longer.

Reviewed By Katrien SThis B&B is located quite a bit outside the centre of town, 3 metro stops from gare Lille Flandres, in a very residential neighbourhood. The positive is that it has a small, even to hotel standards, pool and jacuzzi, open between 9 am and 10pm. The room (aire) was quite large, but there was no bathroom. Just a toilet, and a shower that is separated from the room with a curtain. As the room is above the pool and jacuzzi, it is damp and was also rather hot. Obviously, the location of the shower did not help, but there was a fan. Breakfast during the week arrives in a picknick basket at 7:30 am, left outside your door. It is a nice continental breakfast, you have to make your own tea/coffee/hot chocolate, and there is water and orange juice in the fridge. I sent 2 messages days before arriving, and did not receive a single reply, but on the day itself they asked if I could text at which time, between 6 and 9 pm, I would arrive. So customer service in not to be expected. There is no possibility to leave luggage, and neither is there in either of the stations. So if you have luggage you have to reserve with nannybag beforehand, which has several locations in town where you can leave your luggage.

Lovely and quiet B'n'B
Reviewed By Arnaud_JL_OxLa Parenthese is a lovely house with lovely people. The room was cosy and decorated with taste, really nice bathroom. The garden is amazing and quiet except if you want to have a try on the trampoline! The breakfasts were perfect and the house is just 10 minutes walk away from Wambrechies' centre and 30 minutes from Lille by bus! A good place to be!

It is set apart from the sitting-room where you can find a cosy sofa-bed, a flat screen TV and a desk.

Reviewed By janmachI visited La Maison d'Adam during a conference at Lille 3 university. The house is situated both near university and metro station. It's about 10 mins to the city centre. There is LIDL close by, unfortunately closed on Sundays. I appreciate private entrance, larger living room with TV and sofa, separate bed room. There is microwave and cofee maker in the kitchen. Wifi connection worked well, in case of need it was not problem to talk with housekeeper living in the same house.
