Lovely Hotel excellent location

The hotel is located just off the main high street which provides ease of access to the restaurants, bars shops and beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and a big thank you to Marie. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean so to was the patio area at the front of the hotel. The breakfasts were plentiful with a good range of food to choose from. In addition you had the option to have breakfast inside the hotel or outside on the patio which was nice,

Reviewed By Ken CThis Hotel is centrally located near the Alcazaba. Hotel is signed in a narrow street but easier to find than expected highlighted by other reviews. Hotel Parking is available and is next to Hotel, accessed via a car lift. Superb location, with local Tapas Bars and restaurants and shops. We requested a quiet room and was unbelievably quiet. Rooms and bathrooms are a good size and spotless. All staff were professional, helpful and friendly. Our stay for 3 nights was excellent . Covid Safety, Hygiene and Social Distancing were followed to the letter with plenty of Hand Sanitizer. We felt VERY safe and comfortable.

Reviewed By marina060This hotel offered the guest everything they could ask for. A Spa with indoor heated pool, tennis courts, a pretty garden with out door pool. Lovely lounge and terrace areas to relax on comfortable sofas and tasteful furniture.There is an honesty bar for you to help yourself to your favorite drink. A breakfast that you will find a new experience with an amazing variety of fresh fruits from all over the world and tasty homemade dishes and jams. No restaurant but a very good one right next door called The Villa. Many more in the little village 3 minutes walk from the hotel. It is dog friendly but obviously not allowed in public areas. Rooms with hydro massage bath or a jacuzzi. The car park is opposite the main hotel and easily accessed. The staff were friendly and very attentive. We thoroughly recommend a stay. We loved it. Thanks to all the staff.

Reviewed By CotswoldTripperStayed a night here in one of the best rooms for the view with a great balcony, room name is Casa Chica. Slightly dated but didn’t detract from our pleasant experience. As it happened we had a rain storm late pm which was nice to look at from the room with the sea as a backdrop. Great breakfast plenty of fruit, nice coffee and orange juice. Staff very friendly. Plenty of free parking on the wasteland near the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Reviewed By TheTravelingShoesBeautifully landscaped oasis with very helpful and friendly hosts. Delicious breakfast. Tasty dinners. A exclusive, quite atmosphere. We so enjoyed relaxing on our deck. We were able to walk to town for lunches and go hiking. Note - you do walk on the street as there is no sidewalk. They wasn’t too much traffic though so not a problem.

Great place for a chill-out
Reviewed By jwdblytheThis hostal is in a good location, with a view of the sea (over the roofs of the houses opposite, though!) The room was comfortable, great shower although it's hard to stop the water going all over the floor - actually, that's wrong, it's impossible to stop the water going all over the floor! The balcony is small, but big enough and it had a cactus on it, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean, and a very short walk down to the beach, either via the public steps or by the road. Either route is fairly steep, you need to have good legs! Street parking was easy, whether it would be as easy in peak season I wouldn't know. The town centre is maybe ten minutes' stroll, along the seafront - very pleasant and romantic (but we like San Jose a lot and go there quite often). We will definitely stay again.

Reviewed By Andrew GStayed here recenly when meeting up with friends when we were all in Almeria. Genuine Spanish hospitality at this fab hotel. Rooms very comfortable and well equiped, and the view from the balcony (which most rooms seem to have) was fantastic overlooking San Jose bay. Parking directly outside. Breakfast typical cold meats and cheeese etc, and very satisfying. Definately going back

Reviewed By k_jgormanWe visited this Hostal after a bad experience in Murcia.This accommodation had everything missing from the previous property.The receptionist was friendly and efficient.The room was changed for us without problems as we like higher floo accommodation.The Hostal was well positioned, quiet and very clean.The breakfast was good and nicely served. Parking was free and easy.We will return.

Reviewed By CopenhagenbearNice apartment, wonderful terasses and incredible views.Very good location for trips in the area. The " blood wedding church " and the incredible Playa Monsul. Also the mainstreet in San Jose has some wonderful restaurants. We are going to stay here this year for the 4th time :-)
