Friendly family run hotel with modern and charming rooms, and beautiful views
Reviewed By JustbefreeWe stayed in this small hotel in Elm in March 2021 (during the coronavirus pandemic). The room was spacious and looked to have been recently renovated. The room had a modern and charming feel with lovely wooden beams and a few mountaineering decorations. We also had a small balcony with a great view of the mountains. The hotel is not in the centre of Elm, but Elm is not very big so it is only a short walk (on a road) to the town centre and the gondolas up the mountain. The owners were accommodating to our needs, we had wanted to have our evening meal from the restaurant in our rooms, but in the end we ate in the restaurant as it was not busy. Breakfast was typical for Swiss hotels but done well, the evening meals we had were very tasty 3 course meals, for a very reasonable price. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in while in Switzerland. If I was in the area I would definitely stay here again.

Das Richisau war und ist bis heute ein Ort der Einkehr und Erholung nicht nur für Wanderer und Kurgäste. Viele Berühmtheiten waren hier schon zu Gast. Zum Richisau gehören auch Lesungen, Ausstellungen und Konzerte, wie der Himmel, die Wolken, das Wasser, die Wiesen und der Wald. Kunst und Natur verbinden hier ganz selbstverständlich Wirklichkeit und Traum. Reviewed By Jon_the_Traveller_CAI did not feel welcome in this hotel, with it's German-only signage (I assumed if it was only in German, it must not have been that important) but clearly they cater to locals more than international travelers. Very odd floor levels, and situated on a busy and noisy road. Paper thin walls added to the noise level. I would not stay here again.

Great hotel but a bit expensive.
Reviewed By cct8799Wife and I stayed at Hotel Freihof for one night while traveling through Glarus. It was a great hotel with some funky 80s decor. The young man at the bar/check in was very nice and accommodating. He was very welcoming and we had a good conversation while checking in. The only draw back to this hotel is the price. It was very expensive for what it is. I would stay here again but would prefer to find cheaper lodging with the same offerings.

Nettes kleines Zimmer
Reviewed By torstenp425Ich hatte das Hotel nur zum Übernachten für eine Flugshow gebucht. Das Zimmer war ein Einzelzimmer mit Dusche und WC. Bedingt durch Corona waren wenig Gäste da, das Frühstück portioniert. Ich würde das Hotel wieder buchen. Das Essen am Abend habe ich a la Carte ausgesucht und war begeistert. Da das Hotel weit oben liegt, hat man einen tollen Ausblick auf den See unten im Tal.

Reviewed By baer3363Zuerst das gute. Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett ok und das Personal freundlich. Aber Ambiente unterirdisch. Das hotel war einmal größer, heute nur noch im EG, oben Wohnungen, Restaurant zu. Der Fitnessraum war ein Desaster (wurde aber von der Rezeptionisten auch erwähnt, dass er noch nicht erneuert wurde). Irgendwie alles im Umbruch. Vielleicht wird es noch einmal besser. Dafür im Vegleich zu anderen zu teuer

Remarkably good place to stay overnight and to dine

The room was completely renewed, very comfortable, clean, habitable and with all amenities you desire when coming back from a tough tour. Nice bathroom. The very surprise was the dinner. Good, real food, nicely presented. Great service. Even the breakfast buffet was way above what we expected, four star standard. In every regard recommendable

Reviewed By FrederickWentworthWe were back in 2021 for 2 months and it was perfect. So quiet, so far from the agitation of the modern world that this year's awful news barely reached us. Everybody, the owner Daniela, her chef Thomas, her waitresses, her cleaning ladies, the locals who come every day for a drink have the typical German Swiss reserve which may put you off at first but are so welcoming and pleasant when you know them better--thank you all, we loved being with you. The setting is idyllic, the view magnificent (though you can't see the lake), and the terrace just unique. Sadly enough people, usually stay just one night on their way to another destination but the rooms are very large, very comfortable (particularly 4 and 6) and deserve a longer stay. The food is very good--they serve the world's best röstis!

«Move, experience, enjoy» Since winter 2022, the lintharena offers a renovated indoor pool, a heated warm-water outdoor pool, a 100-metre-long slide and a modern wellness area with a bio-sauna, a Finnish sauna, steam bath and other facilities. The sports facilities include two climbing halls, a bouldering hall, three football pitches, a single and a triple sports hall as well as group fitness. The hotel offers comfortable single and double rooms with shower/WC and air conditioning as well as new, cosy four-bed rooms for groups or families. The kitchen crew will spoil you with culinary highlights in the in-house restaurant.

Reviewed By Regenerator101The Lintharena sgu is a sporthall in which a hotel is integrated. Not exactlly a hotel, but definitely rooms :) . I liked it. There is a free pool included in the rate and you can also use other facillities like fitness or suana for a small supplement. Parking is free , wiffi worked well. Brekfast simple, but ok. Rooms cleen. I would come back to this place.
