How it works: Arrival at Botanics Sports Grounds in Graaff-Reinet (see directions) 30 min before sunrise. Coffee/Tea and rusks are served on arrival. Indemnity forms and paperwork is finalized after which you experience how the balloon is inflated and prepared for the flight that lies ahead. Passengers board the balloon and is given a briefing on do’s and don’t’s during the flight. A normal flight last between 45min and 1hr.Retrieval vehicles follow the balloon and is in radio contact for the duration of the flight. The flight can be in any direction as the destination of the day is dependent on the direction of the wind Upon landing, dependant on location, a glass of champagne/orange juice is enjoyed to celebrate a safe landing.
