Reviewed By KannootThe place was perfect. The room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the pool area. The setting was stunning. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We only stayed for 4 nights so we didn’t explore the local area. However, we were completely happy staying at the hotel and relaxing the whole time.

Reviewed By 885riobWe arrived on Monday, lovely welcome from reception. Our room was not ready but we put our bags in the baggage room and got changed and was allowed to use the facilities right away and our room was ready within the hour. Lovely and clean room and facilities at all times. Good entertainment throughout the day for all ages, children under 4 must be accompanied for kids club and some activities like shirt painting were an additional fee. All the children including my daughter have loved the mini disco which has been on each night. The entertainment team work so hard through the day and night and are a wonderful asset to the hotel. Good food selection, not much for children other than the snack bar which is made to order and is a long queue and long wait time (30 minutes plus). We used the hotel pool with a small floating ring for my daughter who is accompanied at all times but on the 4th day was told by a new life guard this was not allowed meaning all the children had to stay in the baby pool which is far to shallow and if on holiday as a family means you can't all go in the pool together. When I spoke to reception about this I was informed floats were not allowed in the hotel and we needed to go to the beach. Even thoughwe have paid a lot of money for an all inclusive service.The life guard then put all children in the small pool even though Children had been allowed the first half of the week making the children pool over crowded which my daughter did not like and this isn't even during the school holidays. Adult only indoor pool had children in all day. The young male life guard ignored us when speaking to him and was very rude. Bar staff and restaurant staff were lovely and always helpful and accommodating and milk was provided when asked upon in the room with water replenished every day with lovely views. Overall a lovely hotel slightly over priced compared to previous more enjoyable family holidays.

Fantastic hotel, highly recommend
Reviewed By 681abbiesWe arrived in the early hours of the morning and was pleasantly surprised at the check in process. The WiFi and air con is free here which is a huge bonus and great considering the price we paid for this hotel. The rooms are modern and very spacious with a full kitchen area and TV with the odd English channel. The shower was hot and powerful and we had plenty of storage in the room. You do have to book the cleaning service the day before though so do bare that in mind. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean also. There are plenty of sun loungers and space for more during busy times. The pool is a good size too. We only stayed self catering so can't comment on the dining room food, however this hotel pool bar serves up the best club Sandwich I have ever tasted! All food at the pool bar is fresh, tasty and at a decent price. It's a bit more expensive than some places in the resort but you are paying for quality and convenience. Good choice for lunch. The location is great. Only a couple of minutes walk into the centre with bars along the way. Quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. We would return to this hotel and would highly recommend.

The hotel has 1 swimming pool for adults, 1 for children and 1 indoor heated swimming pool with sauna. The comfortable rooms are all air conditioned (cold/hot) and there are 6 disabled accessible rooms as well as non-smoking rooms available. The hotel is climate controlled for your comfort and has a variety of lounges with satellite TV and bars for you to relax and enjoy in. The Globales Pionero offers an all inclusive option. The hotel’s international entertainment team hosts daily scheduled daytime activities, games and sports competitions and at night there are shows and entertainment for both adults and children. Also, nearby there are 3 golf courses, horseback riding and the infamous nightlife of Magaluf.
Disappointing and won’t be returning
Reviewed By nm0501In the main, ok, however the negatives far outweighed the positives. From previous holidays nowhere near a 4 star grading. The same hotel group in Marbella is far superior and classed only a 3*. Entertainment staff especially the 2 lads are excellent and do their very best day in day out, the rest are non descript, Food is repetitive and as a previous review indicated often cold, sun beds are in short supply for the No of guests, advice that there is a 3rd hotel available was non existent , the bar staff in the Santa ponsa park are rude at best, ignorant and abusive at worst, Majority of other guests are the same, queuing system for the bar a shambles and the morning rush for a sun bed embarrassing. 2 of our party suffered bad bites which required emergency Dr attention - unclear from where how we flies often seen around the snack bar To sum up, cheap and cheerful to those that like Blackpool, uncouth and unacceptable with those with a semblance of taste, respect and dignity. Personal opinion, avoid. Far better quality and value for money available elsewhere

Would have to say the standard of the rooms has remained and the cleanliness is second to none throughout the hotel Check in was hassle free and we were allocated room 444 which from the balcony has a lovely view of part of the beach New rules for drinking from the pool bar where you are allocated a plastic beaker and must bring this with you or you wont get served during the day at night its just normal bar service Always remember to drop a few cents to the tip jar they work hard enough for it Few down sides the entertainment was not on each night and also the standard of the food has definitely dropped since our last stay - In saying that was improving night on night near the end of our stay they also opened restaurant early when we were leaving as we were getting picked up at 7-30am which was great to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat Hotel is in great location hence kept going back - i have no issues with this hotel and if your looking for a cheap place to stay in Santa ponsa which is close to everything i would recommend

Reviewed By michellecS5028BSHad a brilliant time at the hotel all staff were amazing and happy. The toom was really nice and had a lovely big balcony, the maids where good and always happy. Couldn't fault any of our stay. The food was the best alinclusive we have ever had never a bad meal. Would certainly visit again. It is not advisable to go if you have walking difficulties but the is a free mini bus yo take you to the beach and shops. Maybe the mini bus driver could be more friendly we had 2 different drivers and both were not very happy.

Reviewed By 0stephenfJust returned from 5 night half board holiday at jardin del mar. The location is good there's plenty of bars ,shops and restaurants Inc the square right on your door step. The centre of santa ponsa is a good 20min stroll down a bank fine going but hard work going back up.would recommend Taxi back up at 5 euros . The reception area, pool , restaurant area spot on . There was a small bar never used it and a snack bar round pool area not bad prices for pizza etc. No entertainment on when I was there. The rooms were adequate clean good bed & bedding. Towels changed and room cleaned 2 day intervals . Decore well dated and typically bad electrics bare cable to ceiling light. Free tv and remote, safety deposit box in reception not room we paid 18 euro with 6 euro refund for 5 nights. Plus 22 euros Island tax. We paid for sea view well worth extra cost but you need to be on floor 3 and above any lower prob not get the view due to palm trees round pool. Food is the bad point decent selection but every meal breakfast and evening meal food was either cold or just warm We ended up just having baguette. To sum up hotel good location , clean. Food terrible. Go self catering would be my advice. Ps the stroll along the edge of sea that is on YouTube is not as easy as it looks.

For sports lovers we have Golf Santa Ponsa, the Santa Ponsa Tennis Club and the sailing club. There are also shops, restaurants and bars.

Reviewed By MullerRachael34The room was all we needed (Double room), in reality we only slept there didn't use it for much else but it was very complete, with terrace, air con, television, hairdryer, had all the bits. We booked all inclusive and really liked the buffet, snacks and drinks. The location is great! I would absolutely come back.

We came back here because it is a very safe hotel which has security on the door and it is not a big hotel so it's perfect for younger children to play. We stayed self catering last time but did sometimes pay to eat in the restaurant, however this time we paid for all inclusive when we arrived. We were really impressed with the food on offer and it was so much better than last time, there is something for everyone and we have a very picky 5 year old! The air con has been updated as well. Last time we came it was only in the kitchen area but now it's in the bedroom as well which was great. The rooms at this hotel are not massive but we knew what we were booking and we knew we would only be using it to sleep in and they are clean. The entertainers are brilliant with the kids! They offer lots of activities and will often go around and start water fights with both the children and adults. The shows are really good and interactive. This hotel is aimed at young families so the night time entertainment finishes usually for about 9.30pm which is another positive. All in all we had a great time and would definitely recommend this hotel!
