A special thanks to Daniela Kewitschi and Sam Bigome who greeted us on arrival and helped us with bookings and local knowledge!! (tough to find spaces at the best restaurants and clubs, make sure you speak to them). The check in staff & valets Natasha Chepou, Josefina Pineto who assisted with helping track down our luggage the airline had lost (It arrived a day later, with the team at Don Carlos following up once we had given them the details as well as making sure we had all the toiletries needed) Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we were well looked after, parts of the hotel are slightly dated and could do with touch ups, but the cleanliness, location and access to the beach (& Nikki Beach Club) were exactly what we were looking for! Thanks to the team, and will definitely be back!

In need of a lot of TLC
Reviewed By 680anthonypMy wife and I stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had been told by others that had stayed here that it was a great hotel. On arrival we were checked in quickly. Our room had an excellent view of the marina but had seen better days. It was clean but needed some TLC. The finish left a bit to be desired. The bathroom was half tiled and the untiled part was very rough. Around the doorframe it looked like the builder just deciced that if he hit the wood with a hammer it would fit, instead of cutting it to fit. There were sliding doors to a party room and you needed a strong arm to close them. The aircon unit had no instructions and would need an engineer to explain how to operate it. The rooms were serviced daily but some telltale spots on the floor indicated that a wet mop wasn't used. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was the same every morning but had no signs to indicate what was on offer. It is positioned right on the beach but be prepared to climb up and down a lot of steps to get there. I wouldn't be rushing back.

Reviewed By Gadabout1963Outstanding hotel. But this is because of The Level. Staying here without The Level would be a very different matter. Think of this as two hotels one is a rather basic and souless 3 star. The other is a very chic 4/5 star. If you stay here definitely upgrade to The Level.

Marconfort Griego is placed in Torremolinos centre, just half a mile from Bajondillo Beach and three-minutes walk from to the Torremolinos convention centre. This hotel is ideal for couples and families alike. The guestrooms are spacious and feature air conditioning and heating, a private bathroom with hairdryer, a furnished private balcony, a flat satellite TV, a safe (extra charge) and free WiFi. The facilities have a buffet restaurant with live cooking and international cuisine, and another buffet themed restaurant with pizzeria and snack bar and a nighttime piano bar and more. The hotel also has a TV room, a library with international books, a miniclub for kids, a gym, a meeting room, a souvenir shop and a sundeck with outdoor pool and loungers. In July and August, it is offered free transportation to the beach. The hotel is half a mile from Aqualand water park, and 12 minutes from Malaga Airport trough A7 Highway.

Reviewed By RossInspectsStayed here for a last minute long weekend for the June bank holiday. The location is ok. It’s a five minute walk into the centre. It’s all depends what you really want from a holiday. If you’re wanting a relaxing holiday I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. However if you’re not fussed about a crowded concrete jungle type pool area, chaotic buffet and mainly Spanish and British guests then fill your boots. The food to be fair is pretty good for all inclusive, plenty to chose from and the staff work hard. There’s nothing intimate or pleasant about the dining room though. All inclusive drinks at the hotel are ok to be fair. Just a lot of queuing unfortunately. The bedrooms we had faced the back, they served a purpose, apart from the bathrooms were a bit like a jigsaw, really randomly designed. The maids did a good clean each day. One thing the hotel needs to address is the noise the maids make in the corridor, for any of you that like a lie in after a late night, bring ear plugs as the maids like to loudly chat from one end of the corridor to another from about 9am. It’s so annoying!! Being honest we found the Gran Cervantes to be a better hotel when we came last time and they are about the same price.

Reviewed By KrystinesrWe really enjoyed our stay and actually there isn’t a lot to fault, there is always some room for improvement but in all honesty this hotel is exceptional from the varied and fresh food to the cleanliness and attentive staff. Good location with some nice local restaurants within walking distance if you want a break from the hotel restaurant. We had a drive to Malaga city (40 mins away) and also Granda (60 mins away) If I was to be picky our junior suite was ready for a refurb but the size of the room, comfy beds and a spotless daily clean outweighed the tired decor. I was disappointed that you didn’t get a Mini bar or tea and coffee facilities when you pay for an all inclusive package (it’s an extra cost) especially as we had upgraded to a junior suite. We all agreed we would stay again and would recommend to others.

Reviewed By RCB83We have just returned from a perfect week here. The views are amazing and can be seen from the bar, restaurant, rooms, pool area - basically everywhere. The hotel is located in a very quiet and secluded area, however the bus stop is right outside and the reception staff will happily book a taxi to take you anywhere you would like to go exploring, should you want to. The hotel is styled and decorated to a high standard, and those standards aren't just for an initial wow factor - they continued throughout our stay. Staff really seem to care about the experience you have and the service you receive. Catering for Gluten Free needs was so refreshing with a large selection of items available (the most amazing breakfast pastries!!) plus pizza and pasta prepared to order if required. Food selection was varied and of a high quality. There are some minor downsides but if you are aware of them in advance they shouldn't impact your stay - drinks were small and bar queues could be long at times; however you could order multiple drinks at a time. Pool bar drinks were served in plastic glasses but all other drinks were served in high quality glasses that were correct for the drink (ie flute, brandy glass, large wine glass); I have found is often not the case on an all inclusive. Branded drinks and cocktails were available, but not all were included, which was frustrating. Be prepared to pay for all branded ice cream for the kids - only individual pots of vanilla / chocolate / strawberry ice cream are included in the all-inclusive, despite paying a full adult price for my 7yr old, which I felt was poor. We booked with Jet2 who advertise this resort as All Inclusive Plus, which I feel is very misleading. Having spoken to the rep, we were informed they had had multiple complaints regarding this but we felt like nothing would be done to address this. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the operator or the hotel but did put a slight damper on things. The family pool had a lifeguard in attendance at all times, pool towels are included and changed daily if required. There are 2 slides for children only, and a jacuzzi for adults only at the family pool. There is also a purely adults pool as well as jaccuzis up on the roof terrace for adults only (drinks chargeable there, not AI) The loungers and umbrellas were plentiful, even the busiest of days. The pool area is very civilised and feels very safe

The hotel is 30 minutes walk from marina although easy to get bus to busy part. Entertainment was nothing great but times have maybe changed since covid. Would visit again although may be as short break

A brilliant long weekend wedding!
Reviewed By bevvv97A fantastic trip from start to finish. We stayed from Friday-Sunday with a wedding in between on the Saturday. The facilities were great! Huge, clean and cool pool, great restaurant with yummy poolside meals, great selection at breakfast and a staff who were extremely accommodating and friendly. Rooms were also impeccably clean and had everything you would need for the weekend; shower worked well, air conditioning worked well and room was spacious with a safe. The rooms were also incredible value for money, meals at the restaurant were cheap and so was breakfast. As for the wedding, the staff at ilunion hacienda mijas exceeded all expectations. The event was organised brilliantly from start to finish. Staff were extremely attentive to guests and their needs, constantly supplying people with food and drinks, always smiling and friendly which makes all the difference, and just generally very pleasant. We all had a great time and commented on the quality of the decor, food and ambiance. The ceremony by the pool was beautiful with views out to the coast, the canape area was also beautifully decorated and so was the indoor food/dance hall. Overall, what a beautiful place to stay for the weekend AND host a wedding! Will definitely be recommending to all family and friends. Fantastic job all at Hotel Ilunion Hacienda Mijas!
