Reviewed By mcw123There is a lot that is good about this hotel but it starts and finishes with the view. It's incredible and is maximised in the way the hotel is layed out. The rooms are a good size and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a short walk into the town and also to the local gravel beaches. The pool and spa areas are comfortable and have reasonable access hours. There are quite a few niggles though. The pillows are hideously uncomfortable-change them on the first night if you can-my husband can sleep anywhere and even he struggled. The rooms are spacious and have a small balcony which I am sure give good views when the green, planted roofs are maintained properly. There are directors chairs and a bench seat instead of anything comfortable, which really does not give a 5* vibe. Some nights you are given biscuits, some nights you are not. Service seems hit and miss throughout.The bath is not suitable for anyone shorter than 6ft tall but the bathroom is styled nicely and big enough. Breakfast is nice and varied but some of the freshly cooked items were not of a high quality. The pancakes were rubbery and the bacon is in fact a pork chop (could be a translation issue?). The public toilets on the whole were clean except for the ones right next to the dining room which were awful. We ate one evening in the hotel and I have to say this was a disappointment. We had far better quality and value food in the local town. It is possible that they are short staffed due to Covid and this may cause the lack of top notch service expected from a hotel of this nature. The view is it's saving grace-it's perfect. In fact the view is the only thing that was 5*star about this hotel. It's a shame as we were treating ourselves to an expensive break and it wasn't worth the money.

Reviewed By mholton295Just returned from this beautiful hotel in pula with my 2 sisters, on arrival e had a warm welcome and our suitcases were taken to our room and was invited to go into dining room for breakfast , though out our stay every single one of the staff were so friendly always pleasent and helpful. The only downside was no entertainment we were told the reason was they couldn't have entertainment while they had conferences there. On our last evening there was music & singers. The area is very quiet not much around but very scenic and traquil. There is a bus that goes into pula Town about 15 mins ride. Lovely for a relaxing holiday.

Reviewed By irisgB6431NVWe stayed at Maro Suites. This place is fantastic resort for a perfect stay with your cheerful kid (4 years old). We enjoyed in every moment - fast and kind check in/out, indoor and outdoor pools, restaurants, Maro themed parties, cinema. The place is really tailored to the needs of one family to have great vacation (happy kid-happy parents). The only place where this hotel could improve is the pool service/offer (to include fruit, burgers, fries perhaps). We will be back for sure!

Reviewed By FridayC5We was offered this holiday as our previous holiday was cancelled. We were a bit sceptical about how the stay. would be going from previous reviews. This hotel has been nothing but fantastic. The food here has been lovely and plentiful. The drinks are a little sweet but I can live with that. Hotel itself is very clean and well kept. The staff here have all been great and work so hard. We took a visit to the spa today where we had a body scrub massage which was heavenly. I would 100% come back here and totally recommend coming here if you want to relax. The nearest town is about £20 in a taxi each way. We visited the Old Town which was very nice. Lots of places to eat and drink there. This hotel is great for young families too.

Lovely time
Reviewed By crl500Stayed here for 11 nights with my partner. Firstly, if you have small children or are disabled then this hotel is not suitable. There is several steeps and steps to get to everywhere. I would say it is more of a complex than a hotel. There is a small reception, no lounge and no bar except on the seafront at the a la carte restaurant. We went half board and that doesn’t include drinks at dinner here - not even water. Room was basic but nice and clean. Bedding is changed every 4 days and towels when you leave in the shower. Pool towels are free initially but if you would like to swap for a fresh clean one then it’s 20 Kuna per towel. Beach is pebbles so be sure to bring water shoes! Nice couple of bars and restaurants 5-10 minute walk away. If you’re looking for a holiday to get drunk and party then this is not the place. If you like nice evening strolls and a couple of drinks then this is suitable. For the last 2 days the weather was bad. We was able to go to the sister hotel right next door and use the indoor pool & sauna. All in all a good holiday! Wouldn’t visit again, that’s because of the area as there is not much to do if visited again. There’s a DRs surgery by the school about 10 minutes walk who do Covid tests for return to the UK for 150Kuna

Not a bad stay- But Coeliacs beware
Reviewed By Ibiza_lover27So let's start with the good. The rooms were very clean, and the pool areas were also clean. Beer and wine on tap during meal times. The snack bar was open late and queues for alcoholic beverages were never that long. And for an all inclusive resort they didnt skimp on the shots! There were always sun loungers free, but better if you stick your towel down on the way to brekky! There is a no single-use plastic policy which while i support, means there are lots of glasses about the pool area and can be a hindrance, however there were staff often collecting these. Okay so the not so great. The food while not bad was pretty much the same stuff every single day with barely any variance. Nothing is labelled for dietary concerns though. When i asked one lady if the pasta sauce was gluten free she wasnt able to answer in English. Not that i'd blame anyone for that, but please get a member of staff who might be able to answer, rather than standing there and stirring the sauce for fun! I made it through, but by being very particular and sticking to the odd few things so if you are Coeliac then be prepared for routined food. They love to pack up early, we'd head down 45 minutes before the end of service to find food being cleared away, and empty trays with nothing further coming out. The snack bar while stocked with drink, the food was sometimes lacking or non-existent. The rooms while clean are quite small and our shower leaked (not that it was our issue we just popped an extra towel on the bathroom floor). All in all not a bad place, it did the job as an all-inclusive lets get some sun holiday. If you do stay here pop down to the English pub for the sunset views and the "train-bus" can take you into Porec town centre for a few quid..

Reviewed By Amanda LVery large hotel. When we arrived it was not full but more people arrived daily. Although there were queues for the bar and food they coped very well. Room was basic but clean and all we needed. Food was delicious. Lots of veggies, salads, fish,pasta and meats. Dessertslooked lovely but not so tasty.. although plenty of variety andnice hazelnut icecream. Good staff. Loved the free bike hire. The wine on all inclusivewas perfectly drinkable. Evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss but all in all had a great time.

Good location, good food and sucks drinks
Reviewed By zgzgzgzgThe hotel was well organized and adapted to the covid restrictions. Everything runs smoothly and there is no waiting. The hotel is on the coast in a beautiful location from where you have many walking and cycling trails. The all-inclusive offer also includes the rental of bicycles, kayaks, pedal boats and deck chairs by the pool and on the beach, which is great. Unfortunately, there is no beach towel on offer. There is live music 4 times a week in the evenings. The food is good. A variety of meat, fish and vegetable dishes are available daily. They have a good supply of fruit. The desserts are great. Unfortunately, the food is often not warm enough and when you bring it to the table it is already lukewarm. The biggest minus of the hotel is the drinks. The water from the vending machine is chlorinated and tastes bad. Soda is better if you are not bothered by bubbles. The wine was good. I only drank beer the first day because it inflated me to make me feel like a balloon. I’ve been to allinclusive all over the world, and nowhere else have I experienced such a sucks beer.
