We love Alsace for its wines, its châteaux and its secret hideaways where life is at its best. One such place is this lovely 19th century manor house with its garden and vast children's playground. Inside, rooms are elegantly decorated with antique furniture. Painted ceilings, works of art by Italian masters, marble fireplaces, panelling and gilding adorn the lounge, bar and bedrooms.

Reviewed By 768hagengA perfect stay in a very beautiful surrounding. The dinner was absolute fabntastic and the service was awesome. Espacially the very charming lady of this wonderful house. I loved my stay there, I would recommend a room with an own terrace.

Reviewed By rickil333on our trip to Alsace, France the first night we had in this hotel. we choose this hotel after some places we checked and it was great. the room was nice and clean and comfortable. the hotel has a restaurant and we had their diner, the food was great. also breakfast was great.

Reviewed By CatonsvilleGeorgeWe enjoyed dining on the terrace in this woodsy spot, a five-minute drive from the center of Thann. Our view spanned the landscape from nearby mountains to the plain of the Rhine. The food was excellent, and the restaurant was open on Monday night, when others in Thann were closed. On this trip we stayed elsewhere, but next time we'll stay at Hotel Floridor.

Reviewed By Ketan27A nice small hotel cum restaurant run by good family. Clean rooms, cosy bed, quiet location and beautiful mountain view. I think all the rooms have similar view of mountain. Breakfast is very simple - and not much choice. Not much things to do around, unless you drive to Mulhouse. I really like the restaurant, it has good sitting area outside, surrounded by trees and it is lovely place to spend your quiet evening....just relax.

Disadvantageous location but somewhat charming
Reviewed By Thirsty_Traveler_BKKHotel du Rangen is located at a main road, next to a railroad crossing with ringing alarm and the walls are so thin that you can hear your neighbors opening the curtains. If you don't mind that this hotel isn't the most quiet one you will find a place with the old charm of the past century. The lady at the reception didn't speak any other language than France but with hands and feet we could communicate pretty well and had some fun making ourselves understood. She explained me that there is a vending machine with soft drinks upstairs. My room was very clean and snug, the bathroom a bit antiquated but charming. I just noticed that there was no shower gel but therefore two packs of shampoo. I had my own shower gel with me so this didn't matter much to me. When I left I noticed a non-paying hotel guest who laid at the end of the floor next to the door to the fire stairs. He seemed to like laying there in the sun. It was an old and very cuddly tomcat.
