Dined here after a 9 1/2 hour road trip. Burleson was the half way point for us. We were seated in the bar area in a booth with no waiting. Our waiter Brandon came right over and asked for our beverage choice. We arrived early enough for "happy hour" so asked for the specials. Brandon told us about a margarita called the Presidente, which includes 1/2 oz Presidente brandy and which we ordered. Chips & salsa cost $3. The chips were too salty for my taste. Next time I will ask for unsalted chips. We split one order of fajitas with grilled steak and shrimp (I ate the shrimp. My husband ate the steak). There was no concern about splitting the meal and no extra charge for the split. Delicious with grilled red and green peppers and onions, rice and black beans. The plate came to us sizzling hot. Delicious. We will definitely will return to this restaurant next time we are in Burleson.

It was refreshing to find a restaurant that wasn’t serving the smoky flavored Tex-Mex food. We were there with a group. They did a great job of serving our group of 20. We all got hot food as ordered.

Service went from real bad to good. We were seated directly in the sunlight at a booth with no seat cushions (the others had them.) And, the seats were smeared with food. So, we moved exactly three booths down to a clean and shady spot. This apparently caused the restaurant to spin out of orbit, because none of the servers would approach our table, even though they looked right at us. I asked a bus boy and finally got some service with lots of apologies. We ordered, because we had lots of time to look at the menu, we were very clear about our order - fajita only X 2. That was it. They brought us enchiladas. Once again, to the songs of apology they brought the right food and drink. The food was pretty good. There wasn't anything unique or outstanding about the menu offerings. The chips were more like those Frito's that you use to dip with. The place was almost empty when we arrived; so, I can't say that they were too busy to offer great service. The décor made me think that it was a cheap Chinese knock-off of a real Tex-Mex restaurant. There's just too many real places in Texas to waste more time in one of these. I guess, if you're one of the bazillion people moving here; and, you've never had real Tex-Mex, then this is the best thing for you - you won't know the difference. Just, don't think outside of the box when you come in.HI Witherspoon,Thank you for the feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies, we clearly missed the mark during your last visit. When an establishment specializes in Tacos, I’ll admit I have higher expectations. Three big objections here:1) The use of store-bought, mass-produced, flavorless tortillas. My grocery store makes delicious tortillas fresh in-house...why not buy those instead?2) The lack of sauces and salsas. Your choices include two jars of sauce on the table. Even the “hot” (which a staff member “warned” me about) wasn’t hot. However, it was pretty much the ONLY flavor on the tacos. 3) I ordered the Ground Beef and Shredded Brisket Tacos. The meat wasn’t seasoned...AT ALL. When the flavor of the lettuce overpowers the flavor of the meat, there’s a problem. If you’re just looking to fill a void, this is your place. If you’re looking for good, flavorful food...go elsewhere.

I have had the chicken fried steak in the past here and it was excellent. I went back for the first time in a few months the other night and had it again but this time I was disappointed. It was much thinner than before, and the breading just tasted like uncooked flour. That's about all I could taste - the breading that didn't seem to have any seasoning it it. I am guessing they have switched to frozen pre-breaded steaks and just drop them in the deep fryer now. That may have been what it was the previous time I had one but I remember that one being good and this one was more of what I would expect at someplace like a Grandy's or other fast food. The beer was nice and cold and the service was great. I still like this place but will probably stick to the burgers and BBQ in the future.
