Shared the calamari and it was still so much. Very good flavor and sauce, a little too much breading but good. Also shared the crab cakes app, also very good. Entrees- I had the tuna, coworkers had filet steak and the chicken with jalapeño honey. All with mashed potatoes which were to die for. Not low cal!! My tuna was nice, served with pear salad which was great. The pecan crusted chicken with jalapeño honey was really good, I’ll order that next time!!We did not have dessert but they looked fantastic and huge!Great service, great wine list, white tablecloth atmosphere but reasonable prices for this kind of food. Will go back!

We definitely had a delightful lunch. Fish and chips were tasty...and the chips..OMG!..they actually recently came from a potato! LOVE home made chips/fries...no frozen here. Mushy Peas were yummy as was Shepherds Pie. Although we were quite full, we decided to try a dessert...The Cinnamon Raisin Bread pudding with hot custard was the BEST EVER!! Good thing we split it! Came here for their afternoon tea and all I can say it was not a good experience. First off, the price is nice: $15.50. Though that should've been a hint at what was to follow. The service was frazzled, though super friendly. Well, at least our server was friendly. We sat down and someone plopped down one menu. I wondered if I would get one and got a snippy "working on it!"We ordered our teas and they were adorably served in mismatched teapots. Looking around the place everyone got a different pot, which was cute. It was a lot of tea - actually too much for one person, but I'm not complaining about anything but the waste. We ordered cream scones (it was either that or currant). We were brought the currant ones, but they fixed that soon enough. But the problems were a-plenty! Let's start with the sandwiches on the bottom tier: The cucumber was served on oddly cut stale white bread. VERY stale. And each sandwich had like two very thick slices of cucumber. My husband complained because to his English sensibilities these sandwiches should be cucumber and butter, not cream cheese. Next sandwich was supposed to be salmon and cream cheese. It was actually ok on soft bread, but I honestly couldn't have told you if it was chicken or fish as it was fairly tasteless. The last was a ham and brie on a hoagie. Not awful but again, tasteless. Second tier was the scones, jam, and cream. It was supposed to be clotted cream but all we got was whipped cream. They later tried to argue that it was clotted cream. Like we don't know the difference? The scones were actually just biscuits and were very dry but tasted fine, and the blueberry jam was decent. Third tier was what brought it all crashing down, though the wobbly tray we had could've done it all by itself. There were two AWFUL macarons that tasted of nothing but sugar. No flavor of anything but sweetness. One bite and *blech* done. There was some strawberries and blueberries piled on there. But the worst - WORST - was the little bit of store-bought crap cookies. You know those wafers you can buy a pack for $1? And those awful Danish cookies your office gets during the holidays and no one really wants to eat them? Yeah, those cookies. And stale to boot! So I guess their home office got them for Christmas and they held onto them until today. They really need to work out the kinks here. Work on their food overall - I've also eaten here before for dinner and was so uninspired I didn't bother writing a review because I had forgotten what I had by the time I had gotten home.

I was really looking forward to eating here because the Watauga location was a blast. Totally different ambiance. This was more stuffy and chic. Kind of sterile. Server was super friendly. The Bloody Mary was wonderful, but lacked the fun presentation of other locale. My French toast was small, and I came hungry, could have eaten another one. It was just Ok. Need to work on garnishes. Up portion size. Just haven’t nailed it yet. Copy other location would be my advice. It’s the cook.
