We've been eating here ever since it opened its doors in The Woodlands. This is our meat-loving family's favorite spot for celebrations and special occasions! We always try to go early in the day, preferably 1st seating, so that the wait staff are just starting their day and things are not as hectic. The restaurant can get packed pretty quickly, especially on holidays like Easter, Mother's Day, etc., so it's usually much calmer around opening time. There are tons of options for everyone, even vegetarians! The salad bar is always fresh and the offerings are quickly replenished when they run out. If you have a preference for a particular type of meat, you don't have to wait for a server bringing that cut to come around, you can just request it directly from your server. My son and I love the plantains, so we always ask for just the plantains, no fries. The waitstaff is always available, attentive, and ready to respond to your needs. Come hungry and eager to sample everything, eat at a comfortable pace, and enjoy!

Went on a rainy Saturday night, expecting to be charged extraordinary amounts of $, but was pleasantly surprised... no line, hot BBQ, reasonably tasty, a good selection of sides, and what seemed like an endless stream of hot, fresh rolls. Entrees were $10-$20, and I say this because the $$$$ ratings are relative. Very satisfied and would come back.

The Brisket was average. The sausage was really like a cheap frankfurter with the same texture. The sausage definitely was not of German or Czech or south Texas origin. I was a little disappointed. This was for takeout and I had no sides. Does not compare with Vernons or Hinzes.

We have eaten at various Dosey Doe facilities with good results. Not this time. My wife and I split a biscuits and gravy/ two eggs with ham and potatoes. My eggs, ham and potatoes was good but my wife's biscuits were stone cold. We know the biscuits have to be made earlier but they should have beef warmed up before serving.

This is absolutely the BEST BBQ we have ever had! The flavor and tenderness is unsurpassed! My favorite is the Baked Potato with chopped brisket on top! The sliced brisket and sausage are yummy too! Come early to avoid long lines - sometimes they run out by 2pm but coming around then can help with the lines too. Love this place and stop every time we come to Houston!
