Best Greek Food! Very friendly owner along with the entire team. I recommend Saganaki flaming cheese as appetizer, as for the entrée I recommend the Zeus platter which a bit of everything. Lamb Shank is exceptional. My favorite is Bifteki (Greek burgers) with pitta break and tzaziki sauce. Friday and Saturday live Greek music!! we are regular customers. Try Mythos Greek beer.

Lama Mediterranean Cafe

Not a lot of customers in the restaurant, but two delivery service guys waiting for large orders. Obviously they couldn’t handle them and us satisfactorily. Three of us ordered. One Tilapia. One leg of lamb. One vegetarian plate. The lamb person asked to have a side of moussaka instead of the toast and potatoes. No manager there, and this was a difficult request for them to handle—even though I said, “don’t worry; we’ll pay an up charge.” Took some time—and what looked like an all-hands huddle in the kitchen for them to decide they could do it. They told me the total. I gave them a credit card. They handed me a slip to complete and sign. I had to request an itemized tab to review. I received my order 15 minutes later. Another 15 minutes later, the tilapia was delivered, along with the pita bread I was waiting for. A few minutes later, the lamb arrived. My vegetarian plate was very good, as usual. The fish plate also had rice and a small salad; it was very good. He lamb was tough, over-salted and overdone—fairly inedible. I called one of the guys over and told him; he apologized and said he’d bring more. Thank goodness the moussaka was a very large serving and it was fine (not close to good or very good). He brought more lamb, saying it had no salt; it, too, was over cooked and tough. When he came by to ask if it was okay, I told him it was not. He came by with some baklava on the house and apologized for the service and the lamb. We have patronized Lama several times, and enjoyed it. A couple of weeks ago, we tried a new competing Mediterranean restaurant that opened in the adjoining strip center, Mary’s. We found Mary’s to be overpriced and mediocre. All four of us who ate there that day said Lama was much, much better. Friday, we wished we had gone to Dimassi’s.

I love this style of food and Zoe's serves OK Mediterranean, they do a particularly fantastic steak kebob and grilled potatoe. But their pita bread is pretty poor, there is no baba ganoush on the menu and frequently they have not made adjustments requested (eg no feta). Zara's Mediterranean on Sawdust is much better and remains the benchmark in the area in my humble opinion.
