Excellent place for lunch. Ashley, a great waitress was terrific. She was terrific, knows when to let folks enjoy the experience. I love wait staff that can "read" what the guests want...to chat or not. She is very savy. The lunch, their wonderful potato soup and the huge cranberry salad. Wow. Well done.

On a recent weekend getaway we stayed at the Johnson City Double Tree by Hilton hotel. This restaurant is attached to it. It even serves the hotel breakfast. Very forgettable breakfast do not come here for that offering. The restaurant is wide open once you enter into it. It has a bar on the end of the one room establishment. It also has a built in bar table down the middle of the restaurant. Beyond those two bars the remainder of the restaurant is filled with tables. Our server was attentive and very helpful. He explained the menu process. They have a menu that you mark up with erasable markers. You mark the kind of burgers you want. The types of cheese, buns and toppers for you sandwiches are also marked up. Then you select your sides. We both selected beef for our burgers, but could have chose chicken, turkey, or veggie burgers. Our half pound burgers were very good. The sides of onion rings and parmesan fries were good not great. If you stay at the hotel and spend $25 or more at the Burger Bar, you can earn an additional 500 Hilton Honors reward points. We took full advantage of that reward.We would not return to this restaurant. We felt it was a bit pricey for burgers and the breakfast was poorly done.

Went there based on the high TA rating and were not disappointed. Our server, Kyla, was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The loaded fettucini alfredo was a standout and the wings and cheese bread appetizers were superior. Surprsisingly, the pizza was my least favorite item ordered. While the crust was delicious, the sauce was a bit strong and the sausage too spicy for my taste. The pie would have also benefitted from more cheese (we expected it to be similar to the cheese bread), but my husband loved it. Can't wait to go back (even though it is 50+ miles from home)!

I started with kielbasa and sauerkraut. That was wonderful. Next, I chose the American burger without cheese and house made chips. The burger was huge, the toppings and chips plentiful, but the burger was seriously lacking. First, I had ordered it rare - actually my quote was 'bloody rare.' it was medium if anything, slightly pink in the middle. Second, the meat had an unpleasant granular taste and texture.I plan on going back to explore the pizza menu, but burgers are out.

This place was within walking distance from the hotels across the street. Here, Happy Hour is alive and well. Although around 4:00, the message has yet to reach everyone. The bar area was barren, with scant other patrons. Nevertheless, the bar matron was still lively and pleasant. The place shows a modern touch to the color schema/ decor. All in all, the basics remain the same. The menu also appears to have evolved, much like everything else in this line of work. A good stop!

Nothing ruins your dinner experience like watching everyone at your table eat while you sit and wait for your food. My husband ordered a NY strip, a $20 steak, medium. It arrived well done. Mmm. Sent that back while my daughter and I ate our food. Was told so sorry, be about 4 minutes....10 minutes later...another steak arrived, with the same baked potato. (We assume so since it was not hot) When the waitress asked how the new steak it was, my husband told her âit would doâ and she took that as excellent. When he started cutting pieces off guess what? Well done...again. I even displayed the cuts of his $20 well done steak on the plate for our waitress to see, expecting her to ask why he wasnât eating it...nope! This was NOT a $60 meal. I can honestly say it was not good. Really disappointed with the grill cook, disappointed with our service, disappointed that no manager stopped to apologize for the fact that my husband ate his meal after the table was done, disappointed that no one asked us how everything was at all! The whole experience made my husband and I decide to cook at home more for half the price and triple the taste!We are sorry to hear about your experience, and we will be looking into this for you. First sports bar I have been to in JC. Good atmosphere. Extensive menu. Had chicken fajitas which were very good. Waitress was top notch. Checked in regularly. Lots of TVs. Booths where you can watch the game you want. Prices reasonable for quality and quantity. Will be back.

"Where do you want to go to eat tonight, Honey?" often leads to a short list of restaurants in Johnson City but almost always, Cootie Brown's is on that list. Nothing exceptional here but everything good and the menu is vast. Servers it seems are lacking some enthusiasm most visits but food does arrive timely in a festive, bright, cheery environment.

It was ok, but the first two times there was excellent. However with been going down hill with the quality of service and food. You have to know someone to get better service. Special crackers are the best part. I really sorry to hear about this. I was not here Saturday but would like to hear about your experience.
