Camped here a Sunday night on our way to other destinations deeper in the mountains (Deal's Gap and Suches). Wayne was hugely hospitable, meeting me at the door when I arrived after hours. Showers/bathrooms were spotless, the gazebo was a nice place to relax. I honestly feel like we were undercharged considering the amenities that came with the tent site. Cabins seemed like a good deal, too, and I think that's what we'll do on our next trip through.

Creekside Melodies cabin was peaceful & comfortable

Reviewed By KarenVinFlorida

My first impression when driving down that steep & narrow road to the cabins was one of fear. I'd never stayed in a cabin before, so I didn't know what to expect. The initial ride down that dirt road didn't put my mind at ease. I was also concerned that Big Foot would be coming out of the forest at any moment. I told my husband and mother, "It's pretty secluded out here." He just laughed at me. I noticed Mom wasn't laughing. With all that said, it turned out to be the most serene and comfortable arrangement ever. We had booked a stay at the Creekside Melodies cabin in April 2012 while visiting some family members. We stayed there with my 84 year old mother who is very active for her age. She selected the room downstairs while we took the master bedroom on the second floor. We each had our own bathroom. It was a perfect arrangement. There was a hot tub, swing, and a creek along the back porch. A game room for families with kids. Everything was nicely decorated and very clean. My mother usually has concerns about cleanliness and safety, but none of that bothered her here. She actually felt at home because we had all the modern conveniences (full kitchen and a washer & dryer). There was even a plate of homemade cookies waiting for us which we thought was an added touch. All of this made us feel very welcome & comfortable. It's an actual home away from home. The only negative may be that there is no internet service. You may also have problems with cell phone service. Besides, why would you stay in a secluded cabin if you're a cell phone freak? None of this should bother anyone who is on a true vacation. I highly recommend it over staying at any of the hotels in the area (and there aren't very many). You won't be disappointed. It was a truly memorable stay!

The Jones family takes pride in making sure that their guests have the best camping experience possible! We recently stayed here and had an incredible experience! We were checked on daily by either Julia or Chris to make sure that our stay was satisfactory. They even kept the pool open for extra hours so that our children could enjoy it on the nights that we came home late from adventuring. Let’s talk about that….Mecca Camp Resort is very conveniently located 4 miles from Tellico Plains, which means that you are 5-10 mins from shopping, dining, tubing, hiking, swimming, trout fishing, Tellico Grains Bakery, and the Cherohala Skyway which boasts magnificent mountain vistas and beautiful Indian Boundary Lake!
