A great Resort for Family or Solo Travellers
Reviewed By livefrommanilaThe Henann Resort Alona Beach still is the place to go if you go to Panglao. The Staff is amazing, the Pool Villas are great with the private plunge pools and our son loved it. The beach is public so expect some crowds on weekend but overall it is still well maintained and relatively clean. As far as food goes, the Buffet at the Sea Breeze Cafe is great value for money and Christina's surely is a great place to dine as well. The Breakfast Buffet at Coral is all right and serves it's purpose but not always complete (no Bacon for example). Personally the only thing I could say was not really perfect. The various pools are great and well maintained as well. The whole property is well maintained and kept clean. Overall, can only recommend it. Will be visiting again.

Reviewed By sandingandiversI stayed here with my partner for her birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The location is ideal to visit restaurants and bars in Alona. Room was clean, had a mini fridge, quiet aircon and warm shower. The door used a key card lock for safety. All the staff was really friendly, including the night guard. I informed the resort in advance of my partners birthday and they decorated the room which was really nice so I could not be happier with my stay!

Reviewed By 225sansasI don't recommend this resort for the following reasons: 1. It's too far from the hiway. They said that it's a 10-min walk to Alona beach but even if you're riding a tricycle, you will not reach your destination in 10 mins. 2. The pool is too dirty. They said it's because of the cogon roof, pero may dalawang ipis na nasa kiddie pool. 3. We arrived sa resort ng 2pm, June 5 and paid for 2 nights accommodation since sa first glance, maganda talaga. pero ng makita namin ung dumi ng pool at ang layo pa, we decided to find another resort na malapit sa Alona. 4. So around 4PM, we found a new resort, then we called the reception nila and asked them na 1 night nalang kami mag stay sa resort nila and ask ng refund para sa next day na accommodation sana, pero sabi ng manager nila, non refundable daw kasi di raw kami nagsabi ahead of time.. WOW!! understandable sana na non refundable kung marami ang naka book that day or para bukas, pero wala eh.. as in kami lang talaga tao sa resort. 5. since no refund, we decided to stay nalang. sayang din kasi ung 3,700 na bayad. so, nung nasa room na kami, feel na feel talaga namin ung init ng aircon.. so kala ku sira lang, pero sabi nung nasa reception, ganyan talaga sa lahat ng room. so no choice parin.. pinapaypayan nalang namin ung anak namin para makatulog lang. 6. the next day, while we're prepping para sa country side tour, naligo ung wife ku, and after nyang magshampoo, nawala ung tubig.. 10 minutes pa bago bumalik. at ng bumalik, nawala ulit for another 10 mins.

Reviewed By lifewithkrichWe spent 4 days in their beautiful pool villa with a canopy roof. Definitely one of its kind not just in Bohol but in the Philippines! It’s hard not to notice how rich the villa is with different cultures from Filipino to Balinese, African and Chinese interior designs. It’s like taking you to places without having to leave. Situated in the midst of lush botanical gardens, staying in the villa all day is such a treat. You wake up in the morning listening to nature’s music around you – birds chirping, leaves dancing in the air and pool waters calming your soul. Tranquility at its finest! One of the many things that we look forward to everyday is having breakfast at Tarsier Paprika. Three breakfasts at the resort and we were able to try everything that’s on their menu, including their famous croissant and Danish bread which are freshly baked in their oven every morning. According to the resort manager, Sir Alan Dimayuga, how their croissants are made are with the same quality of those you can find in Paris. Well, we haven’t been to Paris but at Donatela, we had a taste of Paris without even leaving. Amazing! ✨ Did I mention the breakfast view, too? Simply breathtaking! You can even opt to dine inside the air-conditioned sea view rooms or al fresco at the veranda. The view at the restaurant is so relaxing and breathtaking. You shouldn’t miss Donatela’s Signature Tomahawk Steak. We had it during our romantic dinner and it was amazing! We are such a huge fans of steaks and we were able to finish their large tomahawk steak with just the two of us. We had our first basic horseback riding lessons in Donatela and to say that it was fun is an understatement. We had zero knowledge but in just an hour, we were able to handle the horses on our own around the arena, then around the resort. Their signature massage is a must-try, too! One of the best massages that we had. Their spa village is so picturesque as well. SAFETY PROTOCOLS The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the way we travel but Donatela made sure that they follow the new normal protocols to keep their guests safe. The resort is huge enough and even if they take full capacity, guests wouldn’t encounter each other closely. They have hygienic kits in the villa complete with masks, tissue, alcohol, sanitizer and off lotion for insect bites. The staff are wearing masks and face shields, keeping their safe distance. The restaurant is regularly sanitized, too, and washing area is strategically placed to be more accessible to everyone. Thank you so much for the hospitability and warm welcome, sir Alan Dimayuga. He’s one of the most accommodating resort managers that we’ve met. Thank you for taking care of us and looking after our needs throughout our stay. Reviewed By Dunky555We stayed here because most other hotels/rooms were either fully booked or cost too much. Alona Beach/Panglao Island is a real beautiful area and it was no surprise there was a high demand for hotels/rooms in the area. Roberto’s is quite a way from Alona Beach, about 20 mins walk or 5 mins by bike/trike. The hotel is also in a dark area, with little in surrounding areas. We were able to rent a moped from the hotel, and the moped we had proved to have minor faults. The hotel has a nice courtyard with a large tub, and the staff were quite friendly. As for the room, you get what you pay for. The room perhaps lacked decor/furniture and there were a few safety concerns (wiring next to fridge), but everything worked ok. Air con was perhaps poorly positioned, so the room was quite hot at times. We weren’t sure whether to give this hotel 2 or 3 stars, but gave it 3 stars as we didn’t experience any real big problems. Chocolate Hills took about 2 hours each way, and we’ve had a lovely day out on the moped with friends.

I was about to go inside the washroom and here is the woman and as what I heard the daughter of the " owner" and the most rude person I've met in my entire life , she was literally nagging and she mentioned that it was just my excuse that am going to set in bar when I told her and want to use the washroom first and she talked like she was nagging to a 5 year old kid infront of other people and I wonder was she acted that way because I was just an ordinary Filipino who come to their resort or she was born with that character already. But anyway I still have the guts to use the other washroom with the help of the staff and found out their washroom was dirty, found blood in the floor and dirt round the washroom. And lastly I set in their bar and have a shake and try to enjoy the company of my friends.
