A perfect weekend getaway!
Reviewed By jeffreypY8584LBCharming landscape overlooking Laguna de bay and verdant lush of greeneries. Rooms are well appointed, clean, crisp fresh smelling beddings. Swimming pool is so inviting the whole family enjoy the dip of a cool water. Clean toilets and shower. Food is great. Bar serves right food and beverages. Staff are welcoming. Manager Allan laoreno is a perfect host. I love to visit bakasyunan Everytime of every opportunity. My family and friends recommend this wonderful vacation destination.

Relaxing forest-y get-away
Reviewed By Jalli2019This pet-friendly forest resort boasts of a wide swimming pool with a deep-end (4-6ft) and a shallow-end with some fun sprinklers for kids and kids-at-heart to enjoy. A man-made lagoon with falls surrounded by greenery offers shade from the sun while enjoying the water and some instagrammable shots, if you like. Momarco offers daytours and it has many cottages to accommodate guests. Despite this, one does not get a sense that the place is overcrowded. The pools are well-maintained. At night, the bar (1 of 3 restos) becomes a karaoke place where overnight guests can hang out, have a feel of community, and take turns singing while drinking booze. I thought that was a nice touch. Breakfast at the main restaurant is good and filling. Their arroz caldo stands out for its taste. Our dining experience was underwhelming, though. Food was served quite simplistically (no sides to make the dish look good or more inviting) and taste was average. The staff were courteous and helpful. Momarco has a small spa "hut" which externally looked more like a karaoke place. They also tended to play instrumental pop music loudly that I had to request for the volume to be turned down. They lacked storage for their towels and blankets and a relaxing scent was missing. That said, their signature massage was surprisingly good! Given the uninviting exterior and ambiance, I did not expect to get one of the best massages I've ever had. But I did. Ask for Belle. In the morning, we explored the property and found many delightful things. The property runs through a stream, but the area around it is undeveloped. Its forest is a DENR protected area but can be developed crudely for some recreational hiking. They have a basketball court and a tennis court. I did not inquire, but hopefully, they have a trainer on call, should a guest want to play. Their website mentions that they have a zoo but maybe because of the maintenance cost during the pandemic, most of their animals had already been donated. We stayed at the hotel and found the room to be spacious. The comfort room is also spacious and modern but lacked towel/hanging racks. Momarco is a huge resort with wide open spaces and many nooks and crannies to relax and commune with nature. For its price, the many items for improvement can be forgiven.

Step into a bliss and mindfulness getaway

He kept telling me that I would love the place because I love nature..and he kept telling me we should bring Nana (my mother/his grandma) to de-stress and just relax. Finally in July 13,2021 we booked our stay til the 15th. We were off on an adventure. My son and I brought my mother, our good friend and my sons friend. The drive was great and it was so wonderful to reach a drive through areas of green trees and surroundings. We finally reach the gate of Bali Tanay, and as soon as you drive in….it becomes another world, full of giant trees, lush greenery and beautiful flowers all around. We park and we see our house we will be staying in. So beautiful and quaint. We all decided to walk around and my son tours us around the 1 hectare property. Places inside Balai Tanay where people can stay: 1. MAIN HOUSE (which can accommodates 20pax with a lot of amenities), 2. KUBO(3floors and accommodates 4-6pax with amenities) 3. JEEPNEY (w/2 queen beds and other amenities) 4. BACK HOUSE (which accommodates around 10-12pax with a kitchen and other amenities) * There is an eternity swimming pool, 2 fire pits (one big one small), an area for clear LTE reception, and hiking to beautiful waterfall areas. Other known waterfalls in Tanay have to be driven to. We arrived around 10:30am, and for some reason there was a miscommunication in the check-in time because of our last minute booking. It was on us. We were told that check-in would be around 2pm…so what were we going to do.? We decide to have an early lunch in a restaurant nearby and go around to buy fruits. We had lunch in Lorenzo. This resto also sells plants. We ordered pancit, a Pinoy salad, liempo, dragon fruit,a vegetarian meal, and a potted dessert. The food was pretty good and very very reasonable. To waste more time before heading back to Balai Tanay, we decide to look for fruits. By the time we got back, it was almost 2pm. The Main house was so “homey” and you get this feeling of family. The next day I go with my son and his friend for a 15 minute hike to a small waterfall. Our guide (LJ) was excellent. He had so much stories about the places around before reaching the falls. When we got back, we ALL swam. Then we had a lovely night. Our stay was fantastic. My mother was able to have her “me time” and was able to watch some Netflix movies. We enjoyed and loved everything about the place. The owner (Mike) spent some time with us. He is such a gentle soul and from the blissful surroundings, it is obvious that he loves his place. There are so many stories about anything and everything in Balai Tanay. The staff/caretakers were excellent and very accommodating and friendly..the food was excellent… FYI…you can also bring your own food because you can cook in the kitchen or they can cook for you. Long story short, our 2 nights 3 days was TOO SHORT… and this would be 1 of many more bookings for us. I give Balai Tanay 2 thumbs up with raised arms!!! Price wise… very reasonable! Ok na sana excited kameng kumaen dahil sa gutom at malayo pa ung binayahe namin. Pero 11:30am wala parin ang order naiinip na kame dahil antagal at wala man lang nagsasabi or during nagoorder kame walang naginform kung ilang minutes ung s.t.Di kame nakatiis nagtanong na ako sa crew nila, followup sa order namin then biglang sinabi ng crew 12:30pm pa daw iseserve sobrang naiinis na kame at badtrip dahil wala man lang nagsabi na ganun kame katagal maghihintay. Komo,inuuna daw nila ung sa company, my gally naiintindihan sana namin un pero sana naginform kayo samin before kayo nagtake ng order na ganun pala kame katagal maghihintay. Nakapairesponsable ng mga crew when it comes sa service. Second, tinawag ko ung crew dahil kinoncern ko ung tubig na sineserve nila may lasang gamot. Tumungo lang ung crew then pumunta sa kitchen nila at tiningan lang yung tubig na pinagkukunan nila sabay alis at dinako binalikan or anything na hinihintay ko na balikan ako para palitan. Very wrong!! Umalis na kame sa loob ng resto at nagdecide na magswim muna kami. Third,12:30pm nagserve sila sa cottage, kala namin ok na, yun pala kanin lang ang iseserve then another 15mins para sa ulam. Beast mode na kame at bat ganun yung service nila. Yung dumating ung ulam another na kinainis namin, tinola nila, sayote, luya,at ilang pirasong manok lang ang ingredients worth 360php malangsa pa ang pagkakatimpla ??♀️ another 5mins sa fish fillet, na puro sauce na malabnaw at matamis pa san ung lasa ng sour? ?♀️ Di ko na napicturan at sa sobrang gutom namin pinagtiisan namin sayang naman kase ung nagastos. Pero pagdating sa bayad ambilis nila pagkalapag ng fish fillet siningil agad ung payment namin ?? then humingi kame yelo may bayad pa daw ung yelo nila ????? Fourth, andumi ng tubig nila sa pool. Nakakadismaya ung pagbyahe namin at pagpunta ?♀️?♀️?♀️?♀️ hindi worth it ung araw nagholiday leave kame para makapagrelax. Pero puno ng pagkadismaya ang nafeel namin sa inyo. ??????? Hindi na kame uulit pa sa inyo ? di pwedeng irecommend tong place nato. Mukang kailangan nyo magorient sa mga staff nyo di marunong magapproach sa guest/customer.
