Choose from motel rooms (continental breakfast included), or 2&3 bedroom self-contained units.

Reviewed By Sandra PMotel old and outdated. Restaurant and bar is no longer open. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Only service that was done during our stay was clean towels, rubbish removed and coffee tea and sugar. Beds were not made or cleaning done.

Just five minutes’ walk from the North Esk River, you will find the Elphin Motel and Serviced Apartments. We offer a flexible variety of accommodation including motel rooms, two-bedroom (upstairs and ground level with access to shared courtyard) and three-bedroom apartments (with a private courtyard). All rooms are heated and have an electric blanket, kettle, microwave and a toaster. Each room has a bathroom with a hairdryer and guest toiletries. The three bedroom apartments have a full kitchen, and the two bedroom apartments have a kitchenette. Guests enjoy free parking and free Wi-Fi. We are centrally located and only a fifteen minute drive to/from Launceston Airport, all major attractions, including City Park with the unique Japanese macaque (monkey) enclosure, Cataract Gorge, James Boag Brewery, UTAS Stadium and more. The property is opposite the Plaza Shopping Centre with Coles and Kmart as tenants.

Reviewed By brunetteb2018Cannot speak highly enough of the 3 staff we dealt with. They accommodated our special needs without fuss. Great bed. Everything you need for extreme comfort. No tub chairs which are my pet hate. 100% cleanliness. Great heating. Electric blanket too. Car at door. Very quiet. Walk to Kmart, Coles, chemist, City Park. Best place to stay in Launceston.

Reviewed By 416damianhReception was closed, so had to check-in at the sports bar. No issue there. The room was in excellent condition. Very clean and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom looked recently renovated. The shower was as good as any I've had even in 5 star hotels. For the price, it was excellent value. There's an IGA right next door, and bottle shop, and an Uber will cost about $12-$14 to get into Launceston.

Great experience and good location

The site looks old and dated from the outside, but while the room we had was basic it was a great price, great location and large enough that we weren't tripping over each other. We had a really good trip and this room was perfect to come back to. It had all the facilities we would want, including a microwave etc.
