May camp next time...

Reviewed By KazzannFish

We stayed recently with a few friends. Most of us in cabins. The resort presents well ,particulary the cafe and pool area. The food and coffee at the cafe were fantastic. However, I was very surprised with how dirty our cabin was. The floor was covered in a film of black dust and grit. The kitchen cupboards were dirty through out with splashes of old soft drink and food stuck to the doors. The fridge also had food stuck to the sides of the shelves . There were cockroaches in the bathroom and the bathroom draws had hair and spilt shampoo/liquids. Just thinking in these current times, I would of expected a higher level of cleaning. Maintenance wise, there was a hole which appeared to be from a punch on the bathroom door . May bring our camping gear next time instead as the grassed sites looked beautiful.

Our room wasn’t cleaned in the three days that we stayed there! There was only 1 toilet roll, the bin wasn’t emptied the cups weren’t washed! No towels or linen changed! Pretty poor! I wouldn’t recommend this accommodation! Also you could only book it online! It is also extremely noisy with music from the hotel and the traffic on Beaufort Street!

For the best sunset views try for rooms 6,7, 22 or 21. Old, but clean contemporary rooms with bar fridge, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities, cutlery and crockery. We had a warm welcome and open air, unsecured parking was available. Our "Ocean View" room had ocean glimpses and was of reasonable value.

First Class place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay of three nights here. Trigg Treat B&B is a first class custom designed for the purpose of B&B based in Trigg. It is about ten minutes walk from the Trigg seafront and two minutes from the bus route which gives access to Sterling Station and Perth, for those without transport.. Sue is an excellent host and provides breakfasts in the morning which are of excellent quaiity. Upstairs there is a sitting lounge and a well stocked kitchenette for anyone wanted to prepare snacks. The quality of the bedroom furnishings and linen are also of excellent quality. Sue and her husband Bryce are very personable and we enjoyed our chats with them. I would have no hesitation in booking this property again if the need arises, which I hope it will.

Lovely views over the golf course and quiet at night. Very basic breakfast offered in the way of toast and packet breakfast cereals with tea and coffee in the rooms. Venue well centred to all the wonderful places in the Hills of Adelaide.
